Potato Kong Dog and Sweet Chili Doritos Kong Dog
    Santaliz G.

The corn dogs were pretty good, a lot bigger than you'd expect. My favorite was the sweet chili Doritos one. Their batter is a bit thick so they definitely could benefit from putting a thinner layer on the glizzies. Service was fast and staff were friendly! The spot looked clean and welcoming.

Who doesn't love a good corn dog. These are even better. The sweet chili dorito dog was out of this world. I will most likely be back to try all of them. Service was super friendly, served quickly and food was super hot and fresh. The prices are more than reasonable. Also, they've got delicious Korean sodas.

This was the situation. I was at the mall with my son picking up my daughter. He got some Chinese and I was not in the mood. So I took the walk and looked everywhere. So kong dog was very interesting. All kinds of cool looking options. And veggies stuff too. So I pulled the trigger and got the Doritos and sweet chili dog. Wasn't too bad 5 buck and it was half dog and half mozzarella. Hand battered and fried to order. After a couple minute wait it was pretty darn good. It's actually a jail food but don't tell anyone I know that. I'm a believer and I'd definitely go back. Would have been a five but the lady behind the counter was eating something while cooking and the guy helping with the kiosk ordering system asked for a tip. So the turn offs deducted a half star each. I'd recommend this place !

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING AND YOU HAVE TO TRY IT AT LEAST ONCE! If you ever go to foodcourt in Crossgates, you'll see a store on the side. We walked by and noticed the line was very long. We still decided to try it out and boy was it worth it. They sell Korean Corn dogs here with different types of topping and you can also customize what you want on the inside. We got the potato and flaming hot corn dogs. Visually, they look amazing. Price was also affordable, it was around 5 dollars for each and it has pretty high portions. I recommend getting half mozzarella and half sausage so you get to taste both. You'll get some nice cheese pull. Just beware, it does take a while to make it because of the long line. But to me it was 1000% worth it. Will go there again next time to try out different toppings.

Are you looking for an intense cheese pull to satisfy your need for cheese? If so then I would highly recommend Kong Dog. They're making Korean style hot dogs inside the Crossgates Mall food court. I went for the original dog with half cheese, half hot dog. The crispy exterior was nicely contrasted with the chewy dough on the inside. The outside is also coated in sugar and would appeal to anyone who's into that sweet/savory combo. I'm not lying when I say there's a crazy cheese pull by the way! I was sitting there creating longer and longer cheese pulls for at least a minute before it finally broke, it was so fun! There's more crazy and adventurous flavors on the menu, such as Hot Cheeto dust, sweet potato cubes, and soybean powder (indeolmi). This is your sign to stop by on your next trip to the mall

Can't stop thinking about this corn dog. By far the best I have EVER tried. I will definitely return and try different ones.

A Original cheese Kong Dog. Mm tasty.

Good, but they totally forgot to add the sugar as it's advertised. It did take from the true experience but overall it was still yummy.

Unexpectedly came towards the end of their weekday lunch deal so got the soondubu tofu soup and the…read moreseoul long tang which I usually get anyways and was an affordable price ~$15 each? (not too sure) The tofu soup I got was mild-lightly spicy and gosh it was the spiciest soup I've ever gotten and I usually eat this and other spicy foods perfectly fine! Wasn't the best for me. Alternatively the beef soup felt a bit bland but my friend liked it. Main complaint is not much beef in the soup and it tasted very tough. alternatively not much seafood either, just tiny small bits of cheap shrimps which were a bummer. Only good thing was the decent price and decent free side dishes (not many) of which only broccoli tasted good. Food took forever to come so side dishes were a life saver although they also were never refilled which at traditional places they are. Main thing: the service was quite bad... from the moment we walked in, we didn't feel welcome as no one welcomed us, dirty tables were everywhere (like in those video games you play to clean up), and we waited awhile at the counter looking at menus until someone greeted us with an attitude yelling that counter is only for to-go and we should've just sat down if we're dining in... she huffed and sat us down, surrounded by the dirty tables. We asked if we could sit elsewhere but as big as the restaurant was, she still said half of it was closed for dinner (I know other places do the same but they were kind enough to let us sit in that area when requested) and the reason why this time, was because we were literally sitting surrounded by dirty dishes all around us - which they never cleaned up the entire hour we dined here! Very unpleasant view-never have I ever! Even our current table was sticky. And the food and service took forever. She seemed very annoyed when we ordered and whenever we asked for water or refill side dishes and gave attitude like we obviously need to wait for her to appear and be free to even ask which she was rarely seen. I never saw her treat other customers like the same way she treated us, for them, she was very patient and kind and offered menu options and even personal talk. Seems like she doesn't like tourists, just regulars. Anyways she was rarely seen throughout the meal and so I just sucked up the not so good food and we finished and took awhile to get the check. That was the only point in the interaction she seemed to be present in the restaurant. Other times she was nowhere to be seen. When paying, she loudly exclaimed what do you want to tip? In an attitude saying that, we had to tip, and it had to be a sufficient amount otherwise she'd be upset - which she was because service was not good. Even when we left and said bye, she gave us no word back and just another one of those scowled looks. Only one lady working the front and she was barely present and not pleasant. Overall food really isn't bad but it isn't amazing either. If this cuisine is what you're craving go for it, it's fairly priced. I would support a small business. But don't expect a clean restaurant or friendly service - unless youre a regular or fits the server preferred demographic. Not the best experience for me. Whole heartedly believe if service was better this could be a solid place!

I may be part of the Asian club but I'm not a part of this particular inner circle. Being Filipino…read more(or being human, for that matter), I tend to compare and contrast cuisines based on my own experience. With several Asian cuisines, rice seems to be the preferred carb. Korean black rice differs primarily in appearance - purple hue due to the mix of black and white rice. Gimbap (Kimbap) - is often described as Korean sushi. In doing some research, there's a distinct difference between the two. The seasonings used to flavor the steamed rice are salt and sesame oil. They are usually stuffed with cooked protein (beef, pork, tofu, fishcake) and pickled vegetables. They seem to be a larger diameter than maki sushi as well. Good? You betcha. Tonkatsu lunch is a favorite....think German pork schnitzel over black rice. The sauce seems to be Tteokbokki (glutinous rice cake) derived - sweet and slightly spiced. There are usually banchan (side dishes) accompanying the meal: kimchi, cucumber pickle, daikon, and eomuk (fish cake). They provide added contrast to the meal. The service has always been efficient and cordial every time I've picked up my order here.

There's a small section right up front of seasonal fruit/vegetables & some items on sale. This Korean grocery store is on a busy strip of Rt. 9, not too far from Latham Traffic Circle, across from a car dealership, and shares a small lot with Tamarind Thai, a Chinese Take-out Restaurant, and a vape store. There's more parking in the back. It's a lot larger and homier than it looks on the outside. The Spring & Summer months are especially nice, they have little seedlings of starter plants on the pavement out front & a community cork board up front. There's a lot of selection of frozen mandoo (dumplings), Melona ice cream bars, fresh Kimchee, soft tofu, a small but fresh section of vegetables (chives, oyster mushrooms, napa cabbage, burdock root), LOTS of family packs of Instant Korean Ramen (Ramyun), a Back room of Korean Home Goods (decent prices, nice glass tupperware, the have THE green "Italian bath towel" scrubby mitts for $2.99! THE best exfoliation that Instagram tries to sell similar mitts for *much* more). There's aisles of snacks & candy, cooking sauces, flour & yam noodles, Korean gim/seaweed, Chili powder, Frozen seafood & rice cakes, bags of rice, dried kelp & anchovies for stock, barley & Cintron tea, banana yogurt drinks. There's other Asian products too (Thai curry paste, some Chinese & Filipino sauces). The prices are a little higher than other Asian Markets in the Capital Region, so I usually just go for specific items: Yam Noodles for a Japchae recipe, Chapaghetti black bean Instant Ramen, a seasoned Seaweed crumble topping for rice, A small pack of Chinese-Korean black bean sauce for JaJang noodles (perfect size for a solo chef, haven't seen this size portion anywhere else). Oh and Yes! You can buy a Neoguri Ramen & Chapaghetti Ramen and make some noodles like the film Parasite. ...didn't see if they had frozen beef. Not sure if it's due to the pandemic, but sometimes they're out of stock on things, so it's better to call ahead. I realized that Wal-M--t carries Shin Black Ramen now because they were always out. Overall, a really nice find and I love wandering around & looking at all the products. The staff is so kind, their friends seem to stop by often & chat in the back kitchen/fridge area. Jang Tuh seems to have pretty much all the things that may not be essential but make life even more enjoyable. I regularly get the corn chips, Choco Pies (not recently since the end of the $2.99 special), kimchi, and frozen goodies, although I've gotten them elsewhere from time to time, like Kim's Asian Market. The prices seem reasonably competitive and stock level seems stable, so they're set to stay on regular rotation for me.
