I ordered a chocolate tart (Tartelette au Chocolat) and a Cappuccino. The tart was a perfect size and the chocolate filling was divine and coffee was excellent also. They had a variety of tarts along with pastries and sandwiches which I will try next time. You can order a variety of whole cakes also. Will definitely be back!

I've had the original in Vienna and this one comes very close. Very dense and rich with an amazing & complex chocolate flavor. Paired it with a Cappuccino which was also excellent! It was busy and I would imagine there would be a wait for seating at certain times. They have a ticket/number system for ordering so this gives a sense. Local flavor with excellent service, smiling people behind the counter and tasty desserts in a laid back atmosphere.

So far it has not really had a negative impact on the quality and they do have some great sourdough bread and other freshly baked goods and nice pastries. I am myself not huge on bread and pastries but often stop by this place to pick up some pastries and Swedish cinnamon buns for meetings as these are often appreciated by other meeting participants. There were so many options in the pastry case that I couldn't pick just one, so I tried a cream puff, pistachio danish, and a hot chocolate to go along with them. They brought my order to my table where I had a nice view of the park grounds. To my surprise the hot chocolate was a build your own, I received a cup of hot milk, whipped cream on the side, and different types of chocolate truffles to mix in with the milk depending on my preference. The danish and cream puff were some of the best treats, perfect taste, perfect texture, perfect everything! Cakenhagen is a Tivoli gem and I am dreaming of the day I can go back to savor their treats again. I'd give them more than just five stars if I could!

Tucked in the ethnic food quarter in Malmö, this place is easy to miss, but it's actually just a short walk from Triangeln station. The decor is old fashioned, proven by the flowery curtains and the tartan patterned seatings and the marble tables but it does give the authencity feel, that you know they're making their pastry their old fashioned way, as your Scandinavian grandma would have made them. Price is on the fair side, but don't expect much of a service. The grandma that owns and serves the place can be rather grumpy as Richard S pointed out, so make sure you keep on eyes on the pastries only. Like in most places in Sweden, drinks (coffee and tea) are included, so this is definitely a good place to do your fika. As for the semla, they were good!
