After years, it is wonderful to finally have a good breakfast place in Waikoloa again. This place took the spot of a beloved restaurant that closed up over the past year at the top end of Queens marketplace. While this doesn't have the same scenery of some of the other breakfast places I enjoy on island, it is much closer and so it is a very welcome addition to my eating experience on the big island. For my breakfast, I had the Pua'a which is a biscuit with gravy that has Portuguese sausage and Kahlúa pig. I got a side of their meat fried rice, and all of it was delicious. I had a good sized portion and could easily shared my breakfast. For my cocktail I had the Kai Tai which should be thought of as a Mai tai with coconut rum and a delicious foam. Our service was exceptional, our waitress had great recommendations and was very attentive.

Top notch food! Some of the best breakfast I've ever had and their steakhouse dinner is incredible too! We came back multiple times while being here! This is a Must!!!!! Can't say enough good things. Food is holy crap good

Our wait was stated to be 15-20 minutes but we waited around 45-1hr. They haven't been open for very long so it's understandable. During our time there, they weren't anticipating the traffic so they were a little slow. Pricing for food is decent. Food is good, loved the biscuit sandwich with extra gravy on the side.

Brand new spot that we were lucky enough to try on day one. Homemade biscuits, locally sourced ingredients, and everything made in house. We had 'The Pua'a', the Kalua Pork Benedict, and Mac Nut Coconut Waffle The Pua'a and the Kalua were tremendous and the waffle was stupendous. The waffle was cooked just perfectly, and was a little on the sweet side. The kicker was the pure maple syrup. For kicks I had a Bloody Mary, but only because it was also house made, and it had a perfect kick to it. Great place, give it a chance and allow for it to find its stride.

I would give 4 1/2 stars if I could for breakfast/ lunch. Service was great, food was great, pricing was really good for Waikaloa, but food service was a little slow. They have just opened and I think they are getting things figured out. I ordered the Pua'a biscuit and I am excited to go back and order it again, really good! My wife ordered a veggie omelette and she loved it. We will be spending more time here working our way through some of the exciting menu choices. Highly recommend. We will also try their dinner menu which is available Thursday through Saturday

I wish I would have taken photos before but we were starving and dove in. Food was amazing, truly the best breakfast we had on our trip. My wife had the big breakfast plate and the pork was amazing, juicy, full of flavor and the right amount of salt. I had the Kamuela chicken fried steak, biscuit and fried rice...carb overload ha ha. Loved the bacon in the fried rice, gravy excellent and prices reasonable for the area. In the Queens shop area, for us a great stop on the way out of the resort area. Would highly recommend, add this place to your list. I also had a great conversation with the owner, loved hearing about the history of the recipes, cooking methods and clear passion for this. As a foodie I love learning about the kitchen side of my food and experience was top notch.

    Look at this deliciousness!

Kona biscuit is a place you want to go! The food is delicious - The Honeybird Benedict is a delicious sake brined fried chicken with honey drizzle, pickled onions & miso hollandaise. The Benedict is one of the best I've had in recent memory. The Bucket of Bacon was definitely shareable & is recommend. The staff are kind & helpful with menu suggestions. Go visit KB for breakfast / brunch, it is well worth the trip. Enjoy!

What a cool spot! Loved the vibe and the service was absolutely wonderful. Partner had the chicken sandwich and I had the kamuela special. Chicken was juicy, slaw was tangy and the bun was slightly sweet. And the kamuela was AMAZING. Chicken fried steak had great flavor. The biscuits are moist and a bit of crunch. Perfect amount of gravy. The brown sugar peppered bacon though...ONO! It pulled all the flavors together in a great way. Their lattes are smooth. Coffee beans locally sourced from Kona so, make sure to get yourself a fresh cup. Lastly, ube cinnamon roll was so soft and dense. Barely a hint of that ube flavor but get that nice traditional flavor from a cinnamon roll. You wont leave hungry that's for sure.

My fav breakfast we had, def recommend! Service was great, easy to park, and delicious food. Not too busy either which I was surprised bc of the area being busy.

Visited for breakfast and everything we ordered was delicious! My sister and I both got biscuits of course. The Pua'a came with Portuguese sausage, brown sugar bacon, kalua pig and an easy uber egg with the most delicious gravy and sweet potato medley. The Kamuela came with country fried steak, brown sugar bacon, cheese of choice, easy over egg and another delicious country gravy. We also shared a GIANT Ube cinnamon roll with browned butter cream cheese topping that was to die for!! We had to take the rest of it with us because we were so full from our yummy biscuits. Go early cause they get busy quick!

The bar is immaculate. The bartender is handsome, funny and knows his stuff. Try the gin fizz or Kai tai

There are a few Hawaiian rums that we like, but the Kuleana rums fall short. They are heavy on alcohol and light on flavor. My husband tried their darkest rum, which is a very light yellow in the glass, very alcohol forward and lacking depth of flavor. I had an unmemorable cocktail. It seemed as though the bartenders were not all that well versed in their own rums or mixology in general. As for the food, we ordered the pork and watercress gyoza and the crab rangoon. Both were lacking flavor and substance...not made better by the lackluster, flavorless dipping sauces. To be honest...I've had better from the grocery store freezer section. The restaurant itself is pleasant enough with a nice bar and the ability to accommodate larger parties. We ended up hopping across the street to have some great cocktails and appetizers and Roys.

The older ladies who work there appear native, but are actually Filipinas (my wife has a good ear for tagolag). They are quite pleasant.
