Brasa de la Hacienda General Treviño, Cadereyta, N.L.

An Extravaganza of Elegance and Flavor New old amazing food Ah, Koli, a name that now resonates in my heart as the epitome of culinary excellence. We tried both Kagoshima's Wagyu A5 13-courses tasting menu and then regular 13-courses tasting menu. There was no availability for regular menus even with a reservation a month prior! Nestled in the chic enclave of San Pedro Garza García, this Michelin-starred gem dazzles with its innovative homage to Monterrey's rich cultural tapestry. Let us commence with the pièce de résistance: the "Tres culturas y Nuevo Reino de León" croquet. Imagine, if you will, a bite-sized marvel that encapsulates centuries of history in a symphony of flavors. The croquet is a delicate yet powerful fusion, bringing together indigenous, colonial, and modern influences in a bite so small, you'd think it was crafted by elves. Each morsel, though minuscule, is a testament to the grandeur of our regional heritage. And then, the meteorite--a celestial explosion of taste that defies earthly descriptions. Its crust, a perfect crunch, giving way to a tender, almost ethereal interior. It's as if the chefs at Koli have plucked a piece of the cosmos, seasoned it with stardust, and served it with a flourish. These culinary treasures, despite their diminutive stature, leave an indelible mark on the palate, proving that greatness often comes in the smallest packages. Best service in town Our dining experience was elevated to the stratosphere by the impeccable service provided by Alondra and Cesar. Alondra, with her grace and knowledge, guided us through the menu with the poise of a seasoned sommelier, making each recommendation feel like a personal gift. Cesar, with his attentive yet unobtrusive manner, ensured our glasses were never empty and our needs were anticipated before we even realized them. It is rare to encounter such a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth, but Alondra and Cesar delivered it with aplomb. And let us not forget Felipe, the cocktail maestro whose creations are nothing short of liquid art. Each cocktail, crafted to perfection, was a celebration in itself. The drinks not only complemented the dishes but also stood as individual masterpieces, deserving of their own Michelin accolades. Felipe's genius in mixology ensured that every sip was as memorable as the dishes they accompanied. A contemporary atmosphere Koli's atmosphere is a masterclass in contemporary elegance with a nod to regional authenticity. The décor is a seamless blend of modern sophistication and cultural homage, making every corner of the restaurant a visual delight. Celebrating our twenty-first wedding anniversary here felt like a journey through time and space, enveloped in an ambiance that whispered luxury and whispered it loudly. The intimate setting, though, means portions are as tiny as the seating arrangements are grand. Each dish arrives as a miniature work of art, almost too beautiful to eat--but, of course, one must. The small portions are a clever ploy, I suspect, to make diners yearn for more, each bite leaving us with a tantalizing tease of what could have been a full-sized indulgence. In conclusion, Koli is not just a restaurant; it is an experience, a journey through the culinary wonders of Monterrey, elevated to Michelin-starred heights. From the exquisite dishes that tell a story in every bite to the unparalleled service and breathtaking atmosphere, Koli is a must-visit for those who appreciate the finer (albeit smaller) things in life.

Terrible experience. The portions were laughingly small, tasted okay, not great. Air conditioning did not work. Staff was pleasant. Would not return.

Exceptional. Family run operation shows the true meaning behind talent, sophistication and presentation. A gem of a concept that is raising the bar high up. What an experience!

Well, it was amazing. How lucky to have two great joints like this so close to our hotel. Talk about memorable / my mole was perfect. My colleagues steak dish, which seemed like a play of steak Diane, was also superb! Can not wait to come back here and enjoy/explore more of this menu. I really love it when a restaurant/chef truly push the limit on making every bite Big and memorable - and they certainly nailed that here!! Enjoy!!

Once inside, all of the tables are set with the napkins folded beautifully and their wine recommendation and a bottle of Topo Chico (they are not included, but are there if you choose to keep them. Otherwise the server will just remove them and bring your drinks. We each ordered the margaritas, they came frozen. They brought out salsas and fresh plain tostadas to go with. The service was excellent and everything was perfect for our anniversary/Valentine's dinner. I had the chicken mole and he had the house specialty, a pork dish (that was mild enough for him) presentes beautifully and topped with plantains. Everything was perfect! We will definitely be back, when we are back in Monterrey!
