The croissant one melts in your mouth and is so airy. The regular ones are more mini but I love how it's not dense. And more are glazed with a sweet butter. Even their donut holes are top tier. Can't say anything about donuts because we only come for the kolaches. On top of the kolaches, I love how they have a wide selection of drinks from energy drinks to milk to juices to kids drinks. And customer service is 5/5. The lady working, I'm assuming owner, is so sweet.. The only negative thing I have to say is that they're always out/don't have a lot of the crossiant kolaches on hand when I come around 11 which is my fault because I come so late. A McKinney Gem - Outstanding Donuts & Even Better Service!…read moreSonny's Donuts has become our family's favorite spot in McKinney, and for good reason. The quality of their donuts is exceptional - their cronut is an absolute standout with its perfectly buttery, crispy layers that somehow manage to be both decadent and light. You can tell they take real pride in their baking. But what really sets Sonny's apart is their incredible service. During our recent visit, my kids accidentally spilled milk, and the staff's response was beyond what anyone would expect. Not only did they immediately help us clean up without making us feel embarrassed, but they also insisted on giving us another milk on the house. It's these small acts of kindness that turn a good donut shop into a beloved community spot. The prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality you're getting. In a world where great customer service feels increasingly rare, Sonny's Donuts proves that treating people with genuine care and respect is still alive and well. We'll absolutely be back, and I can't recommend this place highly enough to anyone in the McKinney area!
