Krispy Krunchy Chicken is quite a delicious find inside Poblano Mexican Grill takeout! I love the…read moregentle Cajun flavoring of the coating on this fried chicken, and you can get additional gently-cajun Krunch sauce or spicy buffalo sauce or other sauces on the side. I stopped by at 11am on a weekday, and the chicken was piping hot and juicy, much fresher than other fast-food chicken places. The tasty coating had a nice slight crisp to it, though it wasnt as crunchy as the fast-food brand that starts with a P. As I ate in my car, several roadwork crews walked by with their KKC© bags, so it's pretty well known along this part of US-40. There's parking out front for about 30 vehicles, and it's just a few steps from a large mall parking lot. This place is between a Goodyear and an AT&T, all in a little strip mall of their own. It's easy to find. When you're driving west, just turn in at the several Krispy Krunchy Chicken banners on the westbound side of Baltimore National Pike just west of I-695 and look for Poblano. It's a little tricky coming east: you have to drive past Alexander Av, (no matter what your map-app says), and do a u-turn where you would be going into the Lidl - Home Depot parking lot. I mention this because of course I made the wrong turn the first time. Then come back to those KKC banners, and go into Poblano Halal Mexican Grill.

Crimson Coward (2nd Visit)…read more Came back for a second visit to Crimson Coward and it definitely confirmed why I wanted to give it another try. Food: This time I kept it simple but strategic. I ordered the smash burger combo (only $4.99 to upgrade--great deal), which came with fries and a drink. The burger was stacked with onion, American cheese, pickles, and their signature crimson sauce on a soft brioche bun. Everything worked together--juicy, flavorful, and not overly greasy. I also tried the Quarter Coward (an off-menu item priced at $5.49), got it mild with honey sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly--tender inside with a nice crisp on the outside. The honey added just enough sweetness to balance the mild heat without overpowering it. Definitely a hidden gem on the menu. Atmosphere: The space is bright, clean, and inviting. I especially liked the open kitchen concept--it gives transparency and lets you see everything being made fresh. Plenty of tables available if you're dining in. Customer Service: You're greeted when you walk in, which I always appreciate. Ordering is primarily done through kiosks, so interaction is minimal unless you need assistance--but the setup is smooth and efficient. Wait Time: Everything is cooked to order, which I don't mind. I placed my order at 3:16 PM and had my food by 3:30 PM, so about a 14-minute wait--pretty reasonable for fresh food. Overall: Solid second experience. Good quality, fair pricing, and consistent execution. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu--especially those off-menu finds

7.15.25 This is my…read morehusband's and my favorite franchise for fried chicken. He has been saying for years that they need to open a location in Columbia. It was a pleasant surprise when I recently googled fried chicken and this location popped up in my search. It has been open for a few months. My husband called in our order while we were driving as the chicken can take awhile since it is made to order. We purchased half a chicken box which consist of four piece chicken (drumstick, breast, wing, thigh), fries, coleslaw, and a slice of bread. Although it took a little longer than normal, it was worth the wait. The fries and chicken were piping hot and crispy. When I bit into the chicken, it was crackling and so hot I had to blow on it. Aside from fried chicken, they also sell fish, wings, sides, and dessert. It's worth noting that their infamous lemon pepper seasoning, often referred to as crack because it's addictive, is available for purchase. My husband was thrilled to see this as the Glen Burnie location does not sell it. When I started taking pictures, one of the owners, Tiger, saw me and started chatting. My husband and I learned that he, his two brothers and his son are the owners of this franchise and that there are 43 locations. I had no idea there were so many. This location has a few tables and chairs, but patrons predominantly just do carry out. We are ecstatic to have our favorite fried chicken franchise so close to home.

Good hot crispy chicken! Nice staff!…read more Sometimes i'm near here in the morning, and sometimes 10am is right for fried chicken! I've never been disappointed at this location. Piping hot chicken, light crispy coating. It was a little early, and i could have had their spicy coating if i waited 5min. Nah. Their regular is just fine.

This location has been horrible for quite a while, regularly having advertisements for items and…read morespecials that they never have. Today was simply the latest in a long line of times where you go in to order an item they flagrantly have advertised on their building, only to be told (after paying for it and waiting for it) that it's out-of-stock or not available. Today I saw the giant banners for the Fazbear Deluxe Box. I went in, ordered three of them. The woman took my order no problem, had me pay, gave me my receipt, and then I was standing there and waiting. She handed me three cups and I was just waiting for a moment for her to return to ask for a cup holder. When I was finally able to get the staff member's attention and ask for a cup holder, she told me they had no cup holders. That seemed odd but I accepted it, and then, only after I'D grabbed HER attention, did she suddenly say, "Oh, and we don't have the cupcakes for the Fazbear Deluxe Box either." This staff member didn't mention that when I ordered, didn't mention that when I paid, and didn't even mention it to me standing there, waiting for my order, until AFTER I'd grabbed her attention for a different issue. Worse, when I said to cancel the order (they couldn't fulfill) and asked for a refund, I was greeted with a look of dismay and confusion. It took the woman and a senior staff member time an entire conversation to explain my simple request, and then I was told that I would see the refund on my card in three days. Eventually, a completely DIFFERENT woman came from the back (a manager?) and actually processed the refund, seeming annoyed. When I informed this manager(?) that maybe they shouldn't advertise items they don't have, pointing to a small stand-up on the register showing the cupcake, she just sort of gave a fake smile and shrugged; not once did she acknowledge the issue and the standee falsely advertising the item WAS STILL THERE. The service at this location is abyssmal, to the point that everyone in the surrounding neighborhoods says, "Don't bother eating at Popeyes - the Chick-fil-A around the corner is better". I work at the high school up the street - nobody orders from there, staff and student alike, instead choosing the Chick-fil-A, Royal Farms, or Burger King nearby. This place makes Popeyes look like a horrible business and I'm shocked they're still there considering the opinions of the people who live and work around that location. At this point, we're done with Popeyes - we'll get our chicken from places that actually carry what they advertise and have staff with better customer service.

Sports tvs. Easy prices. We grabbed a $6 Leinenkugel draft and a $4 Natty Boh draft. A couple of classics from their full bar. We grabbed a $13 Tri-Merica Burger & Ceasar salad combo special, and a $15 cheesesteak sandwich. With their app membership, we got 10% off the food. I love me a deal :-) They cooked the burger to medium as-requested: Juicy, savory, with American cheese, lettuce, chopped onions, dill pickles, ketchup and mustard. The Caesar Salad was fresh with crunchy lettuce and crunchy croutons. Just right. The Glory Days Cheesesteak is basically a Philly: tender thin grilled steak, grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, white American cheese, and an Amarosa bread roll. Great flavor with fresh toppings on a well-stuffed sandwich. It's a nice homey place. We ran into friends we hadnt seen in weeks! It was a pleasant relaxed evening, with good food, cold beer, sports, reasonable prices. (By the way, the street address on Yelp is correct: a strip-mall on US-40 just east of Centennial Lane. It's just about behind the diner. But the Yelp map shows the wrong location as of Jun 2026.)
