I'm excited to have a revolving sushi place on the Southside. I got a chance to visit during their soft open and if they can maintain this level of quality and freshness-they're going to be around for a while. Everything was delicious. My fav is the Mango shrimp roll and theme Krab roll. Be careful because you pay per plate and it can add up quick- but still worth the price. Come checking out and spread the word.

The bill can add up quick! We stopped into Koi recently for lunch. It's a new addition to the Southside in the same plaza as Vasa Fitness. You're greeted and seated right as you enter. They explain how the menu works and how you open the containers on the revolving bar. My first thought while looking at the menu and the revolving bar prices was, wow this is going to add up quick! I'm glad we weren't too hungry because the bill ended up being $85+ and I feel like we didn't order that much. We split a hibachi chicken and steak entree. That came with soup and a salad. Ordered a spicy tuna, spicy salmon, house special roll, and the crab Rangoon roll. The food was great! The crab Rangoon roll was my favorite. Hibachi was good. I think if you have the expectation of spending some coins here, you will enjoy it. Personally, I would rather go to Sushi Club and pay a set price for All You Can Eat.

Empty sushi containers on belt

Made reservations for dinner to check out Koi. We were so excited, but our experience was very disappointing. Revolving sushi is non existent here! The sushi belt was moving empty containers around. Other people around our table were complaining about the non existent sushi on the belt. Now you can order sushi off the menu, but that's not the point. My hibachi chicken dinner came with miso soup and a salad. The miso soup was disgusting! It tasted like fish broth, so gross! I couldn't eat mine and my husband also thought it was nasty. They had a bunch of employees working, so we didn't understand the lack of sushi. Oh yeah, they advised alcoholic beverages, but didn't have any booze when we were there! I was very disappointed and have no interest in coming back.

I'm loving the revolving sushi places opening up around Indy, was able to make it to the southside to check out koi, and I was impressed the wait staff was friendly and accommodating but not overbearing, and I was happy to have some different priced options for sushi! All around fresh and delicious! Definitely check this place out! Seems like it's good for date night or a family dinner out!

California roll- I didn't care for the fishy tasting little orange fish roe (I think is what that is).

I was so excited seeing that Franklin Township was going to get a revolving sushi restaurant! I have seen them several times in different cities on TikTok and thought it would be super cool to dine at one here. First things first the staff is great and really helpful and explaining how things work. Everything was super clean and every single table in the restaurant does sit by the conveyor belt. The wheel works is that there will be a sign saying what is coming behind it and then the dishes behind that are that item. So for example, you might see a sign saying spicy crab roll and then three dishes behind it have spicy crab roll and then another sign comes that says shrimp roll and there will be three shrimp rolls behind that and so on. In addition to plucking things off of the conveyor belt, as they come, you can also special order items to your table, and they will come directly to you on the upper conveyor belt. Things like hibachi, appetizers, soups I'll come directly to you from your waiter. I had a lot of fun with the experience in seeing all of the different kinds of sushi come around. They also give you a menu that explains what is in each type of sushi so that you're not just grabbing something that you don't know what's in it. The food was mostly good but could use a little adjusting here and there. The vegetables on the hibachi and the rice weren't cooked very well. They were still edible, but they could've used a few more minutes cooking. They also put fish roe on the California sushi roll and that ruined it for me. I would not recommend the calamari. It tasted like it was purchased frozen from GFS food. It was stringy and slimy and did not have a good taste. Everything else is pretty good and tasted fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be back.

This is such a fun way to get sushi in Indianapolis! I loved the revolving sushi and getting to grab a plate. Our waiter Daniel did a great job explaining how to order from the table or how to get plates that are rotating around. He even brought a practice lid for us to try! Each plate is a different color for a certain price. I like that you can order any kind of sushi to your table too and it gets sent out directly to your table on the belt too! I also liked that most of the sushi was in 4 pieces so we could try lots of different kinds. There is hibachi and noodles for non sushi lovers. The krabgoon roll was the star of the show... it's so good! Also save room for the fried banana dessert... it's amazing! The vibe of this place is awesome and Daniel was a great waiter!

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary so I booked a reservation on open table for tonight. When we arrived the open table app was not working so we had to wait about 30 minutes for our table. The decor & seating were cute and comfortable. Our waiter, Caleb, was fantastic! Super friendly and helpful explaining the menu. I ordered the jasmine tea-loved it, egg rolls, Gtoya, & chicken hibachi combo. The food was very tasty!

Food was amazing! I recommend the sashimi and soft shell crab dishes. A new conveyer option in Indiana! I think they could benefit from a gachapon prize machine similar to competitors in the area. The conveyer itself is efficient and a fun way to eat sushi. Our server Daniel did a great job and he deserves a raise of +$3 and more an hour as a birthday gift. Happy birthday Daniel!!!

My first revolving sushi experience did not disappoint! Koi was super cute in the inside, everything was clean, and our server did a great job explaining how the process worked. Rachel stated she was a newer employee, but she did fantastic! My husband had hibachi and loved his food as well! I loved they allowed us to spin the wheel and we received $5 off our purchase! We had a great experience and will be back!

My friend wanted to check out this new restaurant and I am so glad that we did. It was such a fun vibe. You can grab sushi off of the conveyor or order from the menu, or both... Which is what we did. Sushi is priced based on the color of your plate. Everything tasted great! We will come here again!

Went for lunch and was excited to try out a revolving sushi establishment! The menu is somewhat complicated we did not know where to begin or how to order. Most of the "revolving sushi" were empty trays, very few options to select from. Felt the "revolving" part of the experience was mostly a gimmick. Ordered calamari and egg rolls, the calamari was all mostly uniform and looked like onion rings from Burger King, the egg rolls were basic as well. Over all one and done for me, lots of other options that don't need a conveyor belt to try and bring in the masses.

We came in around dinner time and they were pretty busy. We were told it would be about a 45 minute wait, so we decided to stick around. Thankfully, people started getting up, so we were able to grab a seat in the waiting area. They have a bar, so my husband took advantage of that and ordered a whiskey sour. We shared it, it was pretty strong. They give you a little pager that lights up and vibrates letting you know when your table is ready, so we were able to relax while we waited. When we were seated, we got a nice table in an isolated room, which made the experience feel more private and personal. Our cook was absolutely great and kept us entertained throughout the meal. He did a wonderful job, and everyone was happy with their food! My son was pleased with his birthday dinner!

I've been going to Fujiyama for over 30 years, and I've never had an experience like this…read more I understand that hibachi chefs cook everything on the same flat-top. That isn't what bothered me. What was different about this experience was the order and manner in which the food was cooked. Historically, what I've experienced is that the rice and vegetables are cooked first, and then the raw meats are cooked separately. This time, the chef put the raw chicken, steak, rice, vegetables, and sprouts on the grill together. The raw chicken was directly against the rice and vegetables. More concerning to me, the chef repeatedly used the same utensil on the raw chicken and then immediately used that utensil to toss the rice and vegetables, going back and forth between the raw chicken and the other food throughout the cooking process. At that point, I had a legitimate food-safety concern about cross-contamination. I understand that food on a hot grill can ultimately be made safe through proper cooking, but watching a utensil repeatedly go from raw chicken directly into rice and vegetables was enough to make me uncomfortable eating the meal. They did offer to recook my meal, but that didn't address my concern either. I was there with my family, and no one offered to recook their meals or explain why the same preparation process would suddenly be handled differently. At that point, I wasn't interested in having my meal recooked--I was uncomfortable with the food-handling practices I had witnessed. I brought my concern to the staff, and the response I received was, "Respectfully, he's been a chef here for 6 years." That doesn't address the concern. I wasn't questioning how long the chef had worked there. I was questioning the food-handling practice I had just watched. I would have appreciated having the concern taken seriously and being given an explanation of how the restaurant prevents cross-contamination in that situation. I'm not expecting separate grills for every ingredient. I'm simply describing what I personally witnessed and why it made me unwilling to eat the meal. I sincerely hope management reviews the restaurant's raw-to-cooked utensil handling and cross-contamination procedures. Six years of experience should make a customer feel more confident in the food-safety practices--not be used as the answer when a legitimate concern is raised. The way my concern was handled ultimately told me as much as what I had witnessed.
