So frustrating! Anyhoo, I'd had it and decided I needed to get an electrician out there and see if the problem could be located. My home warranty policy included this type of work to be done, so they scheduled Robert w/8 Point Electrical. Robert communicated with me on July 3rd, shortly after being assigned the job by my warranty company, and we scheduled the time for early Monday, July 6th. He called me early Monday and let me know he wasn't too far out. Courteous, polite, full of information and suggestions for each outlet he moved to, and fully engaged my comments, wants, and needs for how I used my various appliances that might be the issue. Because my usage didn't trigger the outages, he made the call to replace 3 of the GFI's because of the add on's since the house was built in 2006, at my request. He taught me some things I didn't know and also suggested down the road to consider other electrical savings here and there that I'm certainly going to look into. This guy is SUPER busy, y'all. He's in high demand because his phone was going off every 15 or so minutes by customers needing his services. Robert worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up his mess each time he left a room. I really appreciated that! I HIGHLY recommend Robert if you're ever in need of a certified electrician.

I recommend Brightside…read more Jon is honest and responsive. A lot of the electricians I contacted seemed intimidated or hesitant to take on our electrical remodel. They weren't prepared for the walkthrough, didn't take notes, and never got back to me or just padded their quote to the sky to make up for their lack of good estimation and cover their misses. Jon promptly came on site and walked through the proposal and asked appropriate questions. He got back to me with a very detailed quote at a competitive price within 24 hours. After the project, his invoice was equally detailed and accurate. He's going to be able to deal with your electrical work; but the things above set him apart from the vast majority of electricians you'll encounter in the Austin area--and contractors in general. Particularly if you have a big job, these aspects of the job are much more important than most homeowners realize. Don't underestimate them, go with Brightside.

My electrician took the time to walk through where exactly I wanted it placed and talked through the best way to run the wiring to minimize visibility. Really appreciated that he made sure I was comfortable with the plan before getting started. The work itself was clean and professional, and the outlet works perfectly. What really impressed me was how helpful he was beyond just the electrical work. While he was here, my patio door handle completely broke off (totally unrelated to his work--someone else in my house broke it). He gave me some informal advice about what replacement part I'd need. Then when he had to run to the home improvement store to grab something for the outlet installation, he offered to pick up the door handle for me too. That kind of thoughtfulness and going the extra mile was great to see and highly appreciated since I had a busy day dealing with kids before a trip. I'd absolutely hire this company again and recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done.
