There seems to be about a hundred places to get ice cream on LBI, but every year we come back to Kohr Bros for our annual pilgrimage. The most important thing about Kohr Bros is that it is open later than the competition! That's what got me in the door. I knew I made the right decision immediately because I was greeted by an extraordinarily friendly staff. I ended up with a soft serve mix of strawberry and banana ice cream on a cone. I absolutely love a Kohr's vanilla cone with a chocolate hard shell and look forward each year for their LBI store to open. This last visit on Saturday night was very upsetting. The manager was there all by herself with no assistance what's so ever and the place was packed. The line went around the corner of the building for over the hour that we were standing there. I'm sorry that the owners made her work by herself. I know that this time of year people call out and the kids go back to school but the girl that was working that night was so pleasant and accommodating. She wasn't cranky or anything though the line was never ending. Kohr's, a nice bonus would be thoughtful for this employee. read more

Creamy soft serve!! I had delicious creamsicle and the my kids raves about the vanilla chocolate swirl.

Love Kohr's ice cream and the fact that they are open late but was disappointed that two nights in a row employees prepared an ice cream cone without gloves even after handling money. Not safe with Covid especially as there's no paper cover on the cones. I noticed the employees wear a glove on one hand but were still handling the cone with their ungloved hand as well. If i could give a zero star review I would. The employees working June 8th at 9. p.m. mocked me while I was standing there waiting for my friend to get ice cream. They mocked my stance while I was JUST STANDING there doing absolutely nothing. This is absolutely disgusting behavior. Amazing custard with Amazing flavors. Workers are family dreamily and portions are a little to big but that's defiantly a good thing.

The various ice cream flavors are good & there are several sizes. Prices are high, even for the shore & the person waiting on us had NO personality. She just needs trained, perhaps? We were the only customers so it wasn't being rushed. read more
