On Black Friday, Katie in the jewelry counter was turning customers away from checking out at the jewelry register unless they had purchased jewelry. We had a pair of earrings and one sweater. She then told us we could not check out because the earrings were not from inside the case but rather the rack atop the case. The only other people in line, a couple in front of us, were purchasing $350 worth of clothes and a necklace. Katie would not let them through as they had not taken a number from a small machine hidden behind a counter. We left our sweater and earrings and the couple left their buggy, losing Kohl's a total of $500 they could have made in sales- thanks to the incompetency of one employee. We will be cancelling our kohl's account and will be closing our card due to the venomous way Katie treated kind, affable customers. read more

First time inside the store. I like the layout, the merchandise, and the prices. Moreover, two store clerks provided excellent service. River was ringing up our purchases when the power went out. He said we could set everything aside for the next day and proceeded with that. Today at customer service, all our items were ready. Emma rang up the items. Nice store but rude employee encounter and won't be returning to this store. Sales lady checking us out made inappropriate comments to my husband, wouldn't hand us our second bag so we could leave because she was talking to someone else, and then she along with her other check out coworker yelled "It's the tie" at me when the alarm went off and I looked back to make sure it was ok to leave because I am an honest costumer. I wanted to clarify that it was ok to leave and they both stood there yelling the same phrase like three times as if I was stupid instead of me just trying to do the right thing. read more

This is a huge Kohl's for no bigger than the town of Tyler is. They actually have some pretty large stores in Tyler. This Kohl's was large, nice, and clean. The staff was 5-star worthy, the prices what should be asked for the products. I actually had to go shop some more in order to use the coupons I had. That is the best kind of shopping, I think. Was charged full price last weekend for two pair of jeans even though they were showing to be on sale on their website. Unfortunately didn't notice it until after the fact. On the back of their receipt I noticed they do price adjustments. I called the store before driving 45 minutes to the nearest kohls in Tyler to see if they would still honor this. They refused to honor it making some excuse that since it was "cyber monday" sales they would not honor the price adjustment....even though these pants were showing to be on sale BEFORE Thanksgiving, BEFORE all these black friday/cyber monday sales. Probably should remove that promise from your receipts if you don't plan to honor it. And why have items showing to be on sale online and yet charge full price at the store? What difference does it make to buy online and pick up at the store, vs just buying them at the store? Doesn't make any sense. Seems dishonest too. read more

Love Kohl's!!! This is my absolute favorite place to shop for clothes for my family! Tyler is very lucky to have them. Supporting our area businesses is so important. As we have seen, if we do not support them, they go away and we are left with shopping online and while this can be very helpful, there will be more times than not that we will need something quickly locally. This is my second terrible experience with their customer service department. Went in for an exchange of some clothing my good friend purchased my daughter for camp. We were looking for different sizes and similar prices and I'm a single mom and these were a huge blessing to our camp budget. Found swimsuit in same line and same price on the rack. Mind you, my friend shopped yesterday. So I don't think prices have changed. I did not want to appear ungrateful and ask my friend for the receipt. It ended up they couldn't do the exchange and had to do it as a return. Well it turns out Kohl's policy is to give you the lowest price in the last 60 or 30 days depending in which employee you speak to. The associate Jackie was very rude, did not listen to anything I said or answer my questions for the most part. She just kept cutting me off saying yes ma'am. You are not servicing your customers when you are rude, have no desire to listen, and do not even let them speak. Yes ma'am does not fix that. I work retail. I know about taking care of your guest. This store does a very poor job of this. So now I will have to go to my friend, get the receipt and come back for more poor customer service just to get the items my daughter needs. Not to mention all of this made us late for an appointment we would have had plenty of time to get to on time. read more
