The natural conversation turned to clothing, and Larry really was great. I had never heard of the Calder Caramel shirts and he spent time to educate me about the best colors for my skin type, the brand, etc. The shirts are not cheap, but neither am I, but still I decided to wait. He was not only accepting of that, but almost encouraging of it. But after leaving I turned around and went back in to buy the shirt. He had just closed the store, but opened the door and let me in to buy the shirt. He repeated if I have any troubles with it then do not hesitate to return it. The tailor continually ignored me when I tried to communicate with him. At checkout, a woman who told me she'd worked there for over 20 YEARS said she didn't want to become a manager because of how badly corporate treats its employees and how little they feel anyone cares about them. K&G corporate--you might want to pay attention to that. I was told my alterations would be finished the following Friday. I showed up and suddenly the tag said Tuesday, making the turnaround roughly TWO WEEKS. Because of my work schedule, I couldn't return until the next Friday, immediately before the event I needed the suit for. Then came the part that absolutely blew my mind. THEY LEFT THE GIANT BEIGE MAGNETIC SECURITY TAG ON MY ALTERED SLACKS. I didn't discover it until the day of my event. I had to spend the ENTIRE EVENT trying to hide this thing so nobody would think I'd stolen my own suit. Something I was supposed to enjoy became a day of being self-conscious and paranoid because of K&G's incompetence. But mistakes happen. What REALLY earned the one star was what happened afterward. I returned to have it removed, and the elderly woman who had handed me the suit the previous day couldn't have cared less. I had to explain what happened TWICE before getting a rushed, snarky "Ohhh, your fault, my mistake" followed by a smirk. MY fault?! Your store altered the pants. Your store handed them back to me. Your store left YOUR security tag attached. And after ruining my experience at an important event, THAT'S the response? Here's the irony: the ONLY person in that store who consistently treated me like a customer was a TEENAGER--and I watched him GET IN TROUBLE FOR IT. K&G, PUT THE TEENAGER IN CHARGE. Apparently he's the only person there who understands customer service. This doesn't look like one bad employee. It looks like a management and culture problem. A 20+ year employee openly complaining about corporate, employees taking zero accountability, the one good employee getting reprimanded, and a store that's practically BARREN of customers every time I visit. Maybe those things are connected. I actually LIKE K&G's merchandise, which makes this even more disappointing. But I'm done with this location. Maybe I'll check back in a decade--assuming it's still here. Until then, I would LEGITIMATELY rather pay hundreds of dollars more for my suits somewhere else than ever go through this again. Corporate: don't send me a canned apology. Go find out what the hell is happening inside this store.

I had to purchase a pair of dress shoes, and I specifically asked the salesperson when I told her that they were a little tight, but was assured that they would loosen up upon wear and if they didn't, that I could return them. I thought, "that's why I love Nordstrom's." Fast forward two hours, and I had a huge blister on the inside of my big toe. I had to remove the shoes and switch into tennis shoes, which did not match my suit at all. But, I knew I could return the shoes, so I was OK with that. I took the shoes back and was told by a sales clerk and by the manager, "Finn," that I could not return the shoes because they had been worn outside. I explained to her that I specifically asked that when I purchased them earlier and was assured that I could. She said that didn't matter because there were scuffs on the sole of the shoe. I said I would take store credit and she said "aren't you listening, I said we could not take them back." I would avoid this Nordstrom's rack, find another or better yet, just skip them altogether - they are not what they used to be, they do not stand behind their products, and they do not stand behind their word.

This is a review of the rental process. We have not yet gotten a tuxedo here. We were helped by…read moreEli. They were very patient and gave us our choices. We were interested in a Calvin Klein tuxedo. There were a surprising number of options given that this is a rental tuxedo. We were happy to hear that the rental was for a week. We found out that if you come a couple of days prior to the event, they can make small adjustments to the sleeves and pants of the tuxedo within a few minutes. If the fit is really off, the company will send a replacement that day if it is before 2 PM and the next day after that. The tuxedo can be shipped to any Men's Wearhouse so you might not have to check it into a plane if you are there a few days ahead. The return can be done at any Men's Wearhouse. They are open on Sundays until 6 PM. They rent the whole package. Shoes are included in the price. We did see a man trying on his rental tux and he and the tux looked good.

Bought a super cool shirt from them in July as a birthday present for my brother. They said they could do an exchange, but that it would be two weeks before they had the replacement. I said okay. I called two weeks later to check in, was told another 2 weeks. Called again at 4 weeks, was told another 2 weeks. It's been 2 months now. They've stopped answering my calls. Word of advice on customer service: under promise and over deliver. I would've rather been told 2 months ago that you may never stock that shirt again, or that you're unsure when your supplier will come through, or that you don't do exchanges but I can buy another. Being led along with false promises is far more disappointing.
