The Sephora in Kohl's is amazing. The customer service is always great but when I'm shopping around the Kohl's store, I'm always feeling like someone is watching me as if I'm doing something wrong or they think that I'm stealing and make me very uncomfortable. Needless to say I will not be shopping at this Kohl's location for Kohl's items if I go in here, I know I'll just be going to the Sephora section only because that's some awesome customer service. Kudos to the Sephora girls only! The rest need better training on profiling customers !!! read more

I just opened a charge card and next day was at register asking questions and a store mgr was hovering around me. Then heard him asking an employee what I was talking about. The drive up option at kohl's was great. It took them less than 3 minutes to bring out my order after I checked in. Made running errands with 3 kids in the car easier, esp with covid. The staff has always been friendly. read more

The only time I visit this store is when "The Big One" towels are on sale...why you ask? I always feel hounded at the check out for a Kohl's credit card...it is so annoying! No need to ask any customer more than twice...a few days ago I was asked 4 times! Did the clerk not hear me when I said "NO" the first and second time? We had to exchange the a pair of jeans that I bought for my FIL for Christmas. Of course the after Christmas sales are over and stores are recovering from the holiday madness. They didn't have the size needed so I asked if they could order the jeans online. To make that happen, I would have to return the jeans and order them at their customer service kiosk. Usually that would not be a problem but the jeans are now at a higher price. The manager was very helpful and gave us an in-store credit to purchase the jeans online. We ordered at the kiosk in store AND had them shipped to my FIL!! The manager went above and beyond to accommodate us because many places would have given us the sale price credit and sent us on our way, paying a higher price for the right item. I LOVE KOHLS. I think they have some cuper cute clothes! The only thing is. I think they are pricier than they need to be. Their clothes are not the greatest quality in the world. A step above walmart but not as good as JCPenny but they charge almost JCPenny prices. I love the styles they have, totally up my alley. Their tops generally fit me which is hard to find (I have a friend that calls me Chesty McBreasty). I love shopping here but as they don't have the greatest quality of clothes, I tend to only shop the really good sales. I never come across employess walking around to help with anything so it is pretty much self serve. I think for what they charge for a tshirt, someone can walk around and ask me if I need anything but oh well. They cashier chicks are usually sweet and cute. Love the styles and the way the clothes fit me, not a fan of the service or prices. read more

Went in to make an exchange and purchase an item but wanted it price matched to Target. I was told they don't price match. I pulled up their website and showed them. Customer service rep was nice who helped me. I know she's just doing what she's told. But when I talked to two managers they both said no. Terrible rude experience at this store ! My mother and I were shopping a couple of weeks ago and the woman who was at the register was very rude to my 84 yr old mother ! She was paying cash $100 bill and the woman could not make the change and had to call a manager. I laid down my Kohls charge card and ask the woman to put the sale on my car, the woman told me in a very rude voice NO because as she stated that the transaction had already been put in her register. My mother then found a smaller bill and handed it to the woman and again she refused. I finally told the woman adamantly to hand me the $100 bill and take the smaller bills and conclude the transaction. She then complied and we concluded the transaction. Very rude behavior. I will close my kohls account and will not do business with his chain again. read more

Vent--So I just realized a Kohl's scam today. When you use that percent off coupon they send you in the mail? You don't get that percent off your merch if you pay with gift cards! They take the gift cards off first, then the percent off comes off your remaining balance! My purchase today should've been $16.50 plus tax, but i ended up being charged $54 because i had some great gift cards!! The store gave me some Kohl's cash to apologize saying it's corporate's fault and they can't change it. I call it false advertising. I definitely did NOT get my % off my merchandise as coupon said i would. read more

I've bought from Kohl's many times over the years but placing online orders and dealing with their store employees have become a nightmare. Picking up online orders has become more of a hassle than it's worth. I ordered some pillows on my account yesterday but used my boyfriend's YES rewards and credit card to pay (we are authorized to use each other's online accounts). I was told by a manager at the customer service desk that I was not authorized to pick up $20 worth of pillows as my name was not on the device that they use to retrieve online orders. I showed her the email and online order on my phone that have my name on them. I told her to call their customer service phone number as they have documentation that I am on my boyfriend's account as I regularly place orders on the phone or online. She stated "We can't do that". I had to argue with her for 15 minutes as to whether or not I should be allowed to pick up a $20 order. Really??? I could understand their concern if I were picking up an order of several hundred dollars but this was ridiculous. After writing down my drivers license info., telephone number (I'm surprised they didn't want a DNA sample), the manager finally retrieved my order. The six pillows were in a very large box - too big for one person to carry. She just tossed the box on the floor in my direction. I told her that I couldn't get this box to the car by myself (way too big for their tiny carts) and she just turned and walked away. Last year, my boyfriend returned some luggage to the store that he purchased online. He was due a refund of several hundred dollars. He was told by customer service that they can't refund that much money in person - a check would have to be sent to him from their corporate office. He was told he should get it within 10 business days. Not surprisingly, the refund check never arrived. My boyfriend went to the store to talk to the store manager who said he would "get this resolved". Another 2 weeks go by and still no refund check. My boyfriend goes to the store again and the store manager finally gave him a merchandise credit. This whole process took over a month. Hard to imaging why Kohl's and other retailers are losing business to Amazon, Ebay, and other online retailers. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I've decided that I will no longer shop at Kohl's online or in their store. Much easier to buy the same items online from other retailers (usually at a lower price). read more

So about a month 1/2 ago I bought a comforter in a different city, which I brought here and exchanged it for a different one. No problem or hassle with that at all. Then a little over a week ago, I had somehow ruined my comforter by following the instructions of how to wash it. I took the comforter back to the customer service department and once again they exchanged it without even a question. They took it and exchanged it and I walked out happy & relieved. For Valentine's Day I received a gift of jewelry that had to be returned. The jewelry salesperson gave me my receipt and the Kohl's cash used to purchase the item. When I made another purchase afterwards, I asked the cashier to look at the receipt since I didn't get a Merchandise Credit from the jewelry person. The cashier said I would get a credit on my Kohl's Charge. I didn't think anything about it until I checked to see where my credit was on my charge account. Long story short...the burden of proof was on the customer. It took two days after talking to a manager to get this resolved. They said they had to view security footage first. The second day I went in and talked to the manager, she said the district LP had to view the camera footage. She called back a short time later and said they found the Merchandise credit in the jewelry person's cash drawer. Why didn't they look there first? And why did it take two days to resolve this? And why are customers treated like the criminal when it's the employees who made the mistake? I have been a long time customer of Kohl's but no longer. This will be the end of my loyalty and shopping at Kohl's! read more

I was trying to exchange a pair of house shoes that were a gift and did not have a receipt. When I got in the store I immediately went to customer service and asked what I needed to do and the lady told me that I could either exchange them for the exact same pair of house shoes (which they did not have in stock) or find something else of the exact same price at $34.00. She told me I could pick anything in the store as long as it was the exact price. I confirmed that with another store employee and she said that was correct. I spent an entire hour looking for something of that price and when I found something and took it back to the counter she rung up my house shoes and said that they had been on clearance for $6.00 and that was all she could give me. I asked her if there was any way she could've told me that before I wasted my time searching the entire store and she said she didn't know they were on clearance. She was extremely rude, and not helpful at all. She didn't even apologize for her mistake. How was I supposed to know that they were on clearance when she didn't tell me???? read more
