The last time I was there without trying to find merchandise without tags, I found four just in my size that needed to be priced. When I went to try something on, I took one of the unpriced merchandise with me which I was not interested in, but showed it to the dressing room lady, and she proceeded to tell me that they would tell me at the checkout what the price was. I knew that if I wanted something that the check out would tell me what the price is because I've had that problem before. I think that if something is missing a price tag it need to be repriced. I used to think it was just clothing for middle-aged women, but don't let the age of the sales clerks fool you--there is clothing for the younger woman, too. I have purchased blouses here for myself and my 17-year old niece. And they also carry the ultra popular Coobie and Spanx bras. I wouldn't say that it has as many departments as a bigger store, but it has a good selection and enough sales that it's worth dropping in. Do sign up for their e-mail mailing list when you're in the neighborhood; that way you know when they have department wide sales and markdowns. I personally like buying from a regional chain rather than the huge national chains like Macy's when I can, so Four Seasons is great for me. It's in downtown Bloomington, by the Coffee Hound and Reality Bites and in every way, this place looks like a fancy shmancy women's clothing botique. There isn't a very large selection or much inventory, but my wife liked most of the items in the store. Guys - the reason that you should care: the prices are very reasonable. I bought my wife a birthday gift of a pair of boots for $38. I don't think that there were any boots over $45. Most of the clothes that I saw on the rack or folded on tables were between $30-50. One thing to know is that all sales are final, so you might want to make sure that you know your girl's size if you plan to pick something up.

Clothes for evenings out (bars, clubbing), and some cute wedding-guest appropriate dresses are also available. They have a great selection of fun statement jewelry. I can't walk out without something semi-ridiculous (today it was a panther bracelet). The employees are a mix of students, mostly design and merchandising students, from area colleges. They usually are very helpful if you ask.

Little did we know we'd just stepped into the fashion capitol of Ottawa, LaynaBella's. Immediately we were greeted by the manager and asked if we needed any help. I told her we were just browsing but that we would let her know if we needed help...and like a great customer service rep, she gave us the time to take in all the trendy and stylish clothes this place has to offer. The selection of women's clothes, jewelry and accessories is pretty diverse and there seemed to be a little bit of everything for everyone, however this place did focus on trendy, stylish and amazing clothes that rival the styles of bigger chain stores such as Bebe, American Eagle, Arden B and others. Beautiful and sexy heels, dresses, shirts and shorts all around in this seasons best colors and patterns. My wife found beautiful color necklaces and shoes...at REALLY good prices. Everything seemed to be of good quality and at a decent price. No inflated pricing here. What I didn't expect to find, but was glad I did, was a men's section with stylish t-shirts, button up shirts, shorts. I ended up purchasing a great graphic print t-shirt and easily found my size with no problem. The men's selection was actually pretty impressive considering this is a town of only 18K people. I have trouble finding stylish clothes in Dallas that aren't meant for 12 yr old boys...this place carried up to 3X shirts for men and sizes XS to XL for women. Checking out was just as impressive. The store uses the Square register app for iPad. A quick swipe of my card, and my receipt was emailed to me within seconds and I was out of the store with my purchase. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex and of course cash taken here. In talking with the manager, I discovered the store was completely decorated and furnished by the owner Beth Hoffert who, according to her works all the time to keep the store looking trendy, stylish and just plain cool. This store is definitely the center of the fashion world in Ottawa, Illinois and is more of the type of store you'd find in downtown Chicago, Dallas or another major city. If you're in the area and are a fashionista or are just looking for a good deal, this place is a must see!

There's a sign when you walk in that they carry sizes XS-3X. I ended up buying several items, including some one-size-fits-all leggings that are so soft and comfy - I think for $13. They have shoes and accessories too. One of my favorite things about the store is that the owners have great fashion sense and helped me put together outfits that look really good.
