Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised at this location. My expectations weren't too high. In the past, Kohls has always been the store where clothes were strewn about and there was no store rep available anywhere, should you need assistance. Instead, this location was clean and if I needed help, even for basic directions to a specific department, help was available. There was a great selection of CUTE clothing for women and I loved the XMas decor. There was also a Sephora here as well, which shocked me, given the stand alone Sephora only a few stores down. I use to give them 5 stars always but since their remodel, everything has changed & not for the good. Before, the checkout line was nice & open. We got behind each other like back in elementary, which was fine. Now we are " herded into the checkout gate," like cattle!!! IF I wanted to go to Ross, I would! Now I feel that I might as well go to Ross because I feel as if I am already there. I understand the marketing 101 concept & all the crappy merchandise around us for impulsive buying, but it really is bad! Music is horrible. I don't even know what they are saying most of the time because 80% it is in Spanish! We are in Texas, I get that but English should still be the language of choice!!! A lady with blonde-dyed hair did my return and purchase and I get more warmth from my dead house plants than her! At least the guy at the other counter was trying to help his customer & being very polite. She is lacking in all things personal & customer service. Sorry but that is how I felt. There were only 2 cashiers to do returns & purchases & the line behind me (3rd in line) was 8 people deep!! Before remodel, they would pull their people off the floor to help the checkout line & now they don't even bother! So, there we wait, herded into an uncomfortable checkout line, just wishing there was more help to get us checked out & on our way. Ross & Kohl's should not be considered competitors. I know most likely my message won't be seen or noticed. But i wanted to express my biggest disappointment in kohls in atascosita Tx 77346 I am beyond aggravated and upset. I ordered a blanket for my daughter(pink with bows) for her birthday. I did store pick up and as I entered the store the person at the register told me to go to the Amazon line. There was about 30 people in line, one person working that counter. Waited in line for 25 mins and then asked another employee that I simply had a pick and that I had been waiting long. She told me that the first person told me wrong! So then she started assisting me, searched for my item, she took several minutes so I asked the manager and she DISMISSED ME! Simply told me to ask another person at the register. Then the other young lady finally came out and told me my item was not there. I only go to this location to return Amazon stuffs. This is my third time returning Amazon products and usually the staff is really friendly and helpful but not this time. The guy helping me was rude, didn't smile or greet me. He had this condescending demeanor that I found very uncomfortable and even when I tried to be nice and apologizing when unnecessary, he didn't say a word. I guess the other reviews were right. Today I was having a great day, and I understand it is Mother's Day. I didn't realize what time it was. Usually, Businesses let their customer know, "Hello Shoppers; please make your way to the nearest register. We will be closing in 20 minutes" literally, when I saw it was 8 pm, I thought you guys closed at 9 pm, thinking today was a weekday, not the weekend. When the intercom said we were close, I made myself to the customer service line. I told the guy at the checkout I had something to pick up. If it would be possible to check me out due to that, they were closing as he was trying to get my pick up order on his little device that scans the code. A lady came around the corner ( manager on duty: Deborah). She was rude, telling him what he was doing and that we were close, literally like telling him, "no, you can't help them; they have to leave" I did turn around and told her "I asked him I had a pickup and if he can check me out." She just looked at me and started sprung out to the floor; she began to count money on the floor, which is odd for a manager to do because I'm a manager as well, and we don't handle money on the floor no matter what, me and my sister left. She didn't even acknowledge us; instead, another lady who was doing her closing duty saw and left what she was doing to open the door for us to go.i read more

Kohl's the store where time stands still!!!! This if for Amazon returns. 20 people INLINR lady is taking 50 things back. I swear we waited for 30 minutes. I'll never step foot back in this store ever again. If you have an Amazon return take it to UPS store because this is just insane this lady couldn't find her return barcode I guess and instead of moving her to the side we sat there and waited for 30 minutes if I'm waiting for 30 minutes for something at least have a roller coaster at the end of line!! Everyone was friendly but n the store for the exception of the cashier. As I was trying to get my things together to get to register she seemed to be rushing me. Through the ringing she was not very friendly as I had an issue with my card. Had to move from saving to checking (deposit was sent to wrong account which took 1 minute) . She was in a hurry to get back to conversation with other employee. Sad how 2020 service has spilled over into 2021. I quite liked this Kohl's location. There were plenty of clearance racks with some reasonable selections to wear. Service was quick and friendly. Can't ask for much more--unless it's a free shopping spree, but not holding my breath on that one! Coincidentally, the receipt does extend to customers to take a survey to have their names placed in a monthly $1000 drawing. All in all, good place to enjoy a random browse for bargains! read more

I hate for this store to get slammed for Kohls.com, but the truth is whenever I go in to the store I can't get my order or credits without assistance. Most recently I purchased two pairs of the same slippers for my husband and they both were defective, so I was issued a credit. I went to place an order online for DIFFERENT slippers and could not use my refund # AS A COUPON...was told after 1/2 on phone with supervisor that credit was issued back when I purchased. I tried to explain that I had already PAID for those items, so should have a credit balance on my account. The fact is, the people doing the phones have NO idea what they are talking about. This location is a bit slower than the others, so it often has stock left in sizes that other stores may be out of. That said, since they are slower, they CLEARLY have less payroll. The store is messy and things are rarely put back in the right spot. If you like digging, then this is the place for you. If not, stick with the one in Humble. read more

A friend and I were in here yesterday looking for a specific jewelry item. An employee was behind the counter and I asked if she could help me. She said no but that she would get someone. 15-20 minutes later, no employee. Another employee walks by and we ask if she can help only to hear the same answer. In the meantime we locate the piece we want but of course it's locked in the jewelry case. One more employee goes by, letting us know someone should be with us 'soon'. We gave up and left. I can't even say that it's terrible customer service since there was absolutely NO customer service. They were almost devoid of customers so they certainly weren't busy. They just don't care. This location was one of my favorites to go to but not after today . The staff is rude unprofessional. When I called to speak to the manager Derek it's if the clerk didn't give a damn . Staff and customer service at this location are extremely disorganized. I called the night before and arranged to have a specific sweater put on hold for pick up the following day. Won't step foot in this store again. Due to a warehouse mistake, a large item never arrived at my home. I was given the option to pay for it once more and pick up in store, while waiting 7 days for a refund on the other. Not the stores fault at all. What is the fault of the store is how I was treated from the moment I walked in. The order was placed at 7:30am. They opened at 7. I came at 11:45. It wasn't ready, I tried to be patient but was told that since they technically have until noon to do the orders, I would just have to wait. "I have 15 minutes left, and I'm gonna use it lady." When this order was placed I was told it would take 2 hours to complete. I even offered to get the item off the shelf myself to help them. This review would be several pages long if I went through the whole story. But the absolutely rude staff, unkempt store, and manager who said I should go to bed bath and beyond if I want good service, really made sure that I now take my business elsewhere.
