I tried a few remedies from Amazon that were frankly crap so took a run down to RCR to see if they could help... One week later I am the proud owner of a one piece brushed stainless steel surround and it looks great.. small job but meant a lot.. only issue was my written measurements were misinterpreted (scribbled like a caveman) but they rectified it on the spot which was cool. So hard to find in fact that we've not bothered trying to fix the door leading from our dining room to the kitchen. Living with a broken door wasn't so bad, at least not until we got kittens.... We soon realized that it was going to be absolutely necessary to get that door fixed -- the alternative would have been dealing with our rambunctious little hellions all over your kitchen counters. In desperation, I decided that I'd try to fix the broken cast iron latch, which happened to have snapped off in the assembly. The first welding shop I went to told me that they did not have any workers comfortable with the job -- they said that I should wander down the street to talk to Daren. Man oh man was I in for a treat. Daren was had my part finished within the hour, and he was extremely fair with the pricing for my little job. On top of all of that he struck me as a really great guy. I hope I'm able to bring more work his way...
