Bring another couple of friends with us, and dine together without all the stress of trying to figure out how to navigate a restaurant filled with people or a patio with tables on top of one another. The Kitchen at Middleground Farms was the perfect combination of everything we were looking for. Exquisite food, excellent service, and an enchanting environment. Add to the whole mix, the most amazing staff. From the moment I made the reservation, to the multitude of questions I emailed the owner, everyone was just so kind. The staff made it really easy to feel comfortable in our decision to spend my wife's 50th birthday at the farm. The food - oh my goodness, it was fantastic. The farm to table style menu means the chefs make the dinner offerings based on the foodstuffs they glean. We had a special dinner that was curated with wine selections. All the wine paired beautifully with the food. In addition, we arranged a champagne toast to start the evening and the staff even brought the flutes outside for us to enjoy the late evening before starting our meal. Best part of the meal - a decadent flourless chocolate cake that was perfectly paired with a vin santo. It was just a perfect kind of evening, and one that we will definitely be going back. As our friends said - "this is one of the best dinners we've ever had together." And I wholeheartedly agree. During this crazy time that is COVID, it's important that we're supporting local, community-based restaurants and businesses. After a quick Yelp search, we found Trisklee Farm and I'm so glad that we did. I messaged the Yelp business page and Nikki (who is super responsive, BTW) set me up with a reservation promptly. When we arrived for our scheduled tour, Nikki and a couple others (her family members?) were chit chatting in the front and directed us to where we could park. Once we parked, we were welcomed into one of their beautiful barns to check in. The barn was incredible and would be an ideal venue for a wedding reception or big party. Visitors can purchase wine or beer before the tour and to no surprise - we did. Nikki started off the tour by telling us "the story" about how her and her family came together to running a farm. We were able to visit with baby goats, alpacas, ostriches, horses, chickens, pigs, and so many more friends! Nikki was a fantastic tour guide and provided so much insight and knowledge about how to properly care for all the animals on her farm. This is a perfect stop for anyone or any occasion-- groups, families with young children, a date, birthdays, anniversaries -- something special to see or do for everyone at any age. At the end of the tour, we even purchased some of their homemade Lavender Goat Milk Cream and Soap. We absolutely loved our experience from beginning to end and would highly recommend Triskelee Farm to all.

Their tour was running late- by late I mean 40 minutes... so we had to shuffle things around party wise. The tour consists I of seeing the animals. Didn't realize that the Ostrich were there for lol meat purposes. During the tour kiddos got to feed them. They have a few different areas to roam, with some tables. It's a decent sized place. We gambled on the weather and didn't reserve a rain tent and boy was it SPECIAL. Muriel and her team worked tirelessly to make my family, friends and guests more comfortable with what was a difficult situation and made into a memorable and magical day and evening! My family rented the farm house for four nights and it was the perfect backdrop for our reunion, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. On Monday, I announced to Muriel that we would have 30 additional guests for dinner after rehearsal and without hesitation her team got it together and we had a fabulous meal, complete with heaters, tent, tables, table clothes, chairs, and ice buckets. The barn, carriage house, farm house, and surrounding fields, out buildings, animal pens and houses, were perfectly cleaned, manicured and beautiful. I cannot recommend Adeline Farms enough. All of our guests expressed what a beautiful and memorable event it was. We had a magical weekend and it was made possible by the amazing team at Adeline Farms.

I coordinated a wedding at Ferrier Creek Nursery last Saturday for the first time, and I'm happy to…read moresay the venue exceeded my expectations. I remember speaking with them at a large Portland Bridal Show last year, and I was impressed with their politeness and down-to-earth feel. I like the fact that they allow you to bring in a caterer of your choice. This wedding had beer and wine, which the bride/groom were able to bring in themselves. The ceremony was outside on the side lawn, with dinner on the main lawn, and reception/dancing in the barn. The grass was green, and all of the landscaping was well maintained, creating a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and dinner. The barn has an undercover area in the front, which is handy for a backup plan due to less than preferable weather. The barn has a smaller side, good for cake cutting, bar, guest book, or gift table. The main side of the barn is great for dancing. The upstairs area of the barn gives a great perspective for photos, bouquet toss/garter toss, or extra space for tables. There is a back walkway that is great for storage, or for a photobooth area. I liked that we could come in as early as 9am to setup, and we weren't required to be cleaned and out until midnight. This gave the bride, groom, and their family plenty of time to truly relax and enjoy the day. The venue provides plenty of parking, plenty of space, and exclusive use of the venue site for the majority of the day at a reasonable cost. They were very hospitable, and provided as much help as they could to make the day run smooth...even if it was outside of their contracted responsibilities. The only two things that I noticed were not perfect were: The lawn for the ceremony was being watered the day of to keep the grass green, however it made the grass slightly soggy, but not unmanageable, and if they incorporated outside lighting into their landscaping, it would not only enhance the beauty of the already wonderful scenery, but provide useful extra lighting when tearing down outside on the lawn after dark. On a positive note, they did provide one large industrial light that provided enough light to get the job done when breaking down the dinner setup on the lawn.
