From a golfer's perspective, whilst this course is a moderate par 72, I reckon it's pretty tough as it's hilly. Unfortunately the hills don't seem to work alternately in your favour and against you as on some courses, rather always against you, as the fairways slope sideways and even if your drive is straight it tends to run off to the side. Still, it's worth a round, and open to the public provided you avoid member's competition days (call the clubhouse to check). Views from the cafe/restaurant are also excellent, so stop in for lunch or a beer after your game, and make use of the pro-shop, which is pretty well stocked.

The green was bit sluggish due to the recent rain but the rain dampened our game and had to take a rain check for the last 9 holes. The club house is good, they service decent food and offer cold beer for the 19th hole Overall, the isn't too hard once you land the ball on the fairway. I recommend it for the price point.

It was nice to be able to play on a golf simulator instead of having to spend a fortune to play one of the great courses in Sydney. I was keen to improve my swing and distance so we decided to practice for awhile. Having played golf before at numerous other golf clubs, I was quite impressed by their practice facilities. The venue seemed to be very popular with almost every practice station taken up by a member or guest. The golf course itself is absolutely stunning and is renowned as a Championships course. The golf club has plenty of facilities including a refreshments bar, carts and buggies and a pro shop. You can also hire golf equipment if you do not own any or require any additional items to win your round of golf! Golf tuition is available for those of us who wish to brush up on our skills and hopefully improve a bit! Overall, the course is beautiful maintained while the premises are well kept. The green is in good condition and the club has plenty of facilities including a restaurant and function rooms. Membership is available for individuals, family, corporate or on junior levels. The food at Macquarie Links is also pretty decent!

Overlooking Bondi Beach and the Tasman Sea, this undulating course can prove tricky, especially if the wind picks up. Being a par 3 course, most attention is paid to the condition of the tee box and the greens, so they're generally in OK condition, but there's not much in the way of decent grass in between. If you're a serious golfer, then this probably isn't the course for you, but if you're a casual one-every-now-and-then type player, and fancy catching the breath-taking views, then give it a try.

With three levels of tee-sites, Moore Park is the best centrally located driving range in Sydney. You buy balls by the bucket, which are then issued from a slot machine into a dodgy plastic bucket (be warned to have the bucket well in place before entering your pin code or you'll find yourself A-over-T in the midst of a gushing and unstoppable torrent the things). Correct-height rubber tees are a little scarce - each tee-site should really be equipped with them in several heights. Set yourself up and swing away. Good luck, I hope it works for you.
