Although I am no the golfer type - popped collar, plaid pants, clean shaven, and obsessed about my swing. I have been golfing with these types, who, on the most part have withdrawal symptoms from not enough golfing. Fortunately when I attempted to show my respect for their affection towards the sport, I was shown the ropes at the shooting range.
I would have preferred an actual shooting range, AK47, or shotgun would have been an experience, but rather I bought a container of yellow and white balls, and paid good money to hit them away from me. A constructive choice would have been to design balls that boomeranged back to you once you hit them.
I was horrible at this, which probably explains my animosity towards the sport, I was seldom impressed by my friends' quality swings, mostly as they actually hit the ball in a thoughtful direction - unlike myself, a whimsical swing that acted more like a sprinkler system the an accurately hit target.
undoubtedly, I turned this into fun, and was slightly addicted to seeing my friends laugh at me - strange self humiliation. On a serious note, the service was friendly, and although pretentious, I'm told it's the least pretentious comparatively to other golf courses. read more
