Iced Mocha (with Belgian chocolate, Whole milk, two scoops of Belgian chocolate, 1.5 Carmel sauce & 2 shots medium shots)
Andrea G.

S/o to Yazzen for being extremely helpful and crafting a phenomenal drink for us! Soo sad I visited the shop two days before the end of my trip but u bet I went back the next morning before heading home. Now I am planning a trip to go back and visit the shop every day there haha! Drink order I became obsessed with: Iced mocha with Belgian chocolate, Whole milk, two scoops of Belgian chocolate, 1.5 Carmel sauce & 2 shots medium shots!

We drove from Santa Monica to PS for the day and wanted to take a break from sunbathing, so we stopped here to get coffee. I got the Mocha Freeze with 1/2 sweet and no whipped cream, and it was delicious and refreshing! Took it with me to the pool and enjoyed my drink while getting tan. This is a lovely cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating areas, a range of pre-packed food, pastries, etc. Next time, I'll try the Vanilla Freeze. They also have more locations in Palm Springs.

This was my last stop before heading out of the desert and back to LA. I had never heard of this spot but my friend recommended it! As with all the architecture in Palm Springs, this little caffeinated oasis is very pleasing to the eye. It's decorated with these gorgeous cactus plants on the outside. Thankfully every establishment in the desert feels like you're stepping into a walk-in refrigerator so that was nice. I immediately noticed the quiche when I walked in and knew exactly what I wanted. They are made in house that morning and warmed up when you place your order. I went with the chicken, feta, and spinach quiche which was absolutely divine. It's exactly what I needed for the long trip back to reality. It's very filling and shareable! I also ordered a large size of their honey vanilla latte with their strongest coffee. If you're a light weight when it comes to caffeine don't order this. I was definitely feeling the shakes when I got home but it was worth it. This has to be one of the best if not the BEST iced latte's I have had in a while. Palm Springs is still a hazy daydream and I frequently think about that iced latte in the mornings...

A Must-Try Coffee Spot in Palm Springs! We saw a very busy coffee shop on our way to Elmer's and immediately knew we had to try it. It was conveniently located just up the street from our hotel, and the buzz was amplified when we met a couple by the pool raving about their iced coffee from there. Naturally, we made it our mission to visit the very next day! This place absolutely nails the Palm Springs vibe. Don't be surprised by the line it can be a mile long, but tbh, that's just a sign of how good their coffee is. With the 104 deg temp already at 9 AM, we ditched our usual hot coffee order for something more appropriate, their coffee freezes. I went with the Malted Mocha Freeze and my boyfriend chose the White Mocha Freeze. Let me tell you, they were delicious! Every sip was heavenly and so refreshing we finished them in no time. The staff deserves a shout out too they were incredibly friendly, quick, efficient, and helpful, clearly used to handling a big crowd. It's great to know they have several locations covering the entire Palm Springs area. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back on our next trip to town. This is a must visit for coffee lovers like me!

Hmm ... I wonder what they sell here.  Is this German? I don't know the German word for coffee.  However, I do know that "hai" means shark.

I went back here to meet up with a friend to have a hot beverage and something to eat one morning. Me: "Where are we going to meet up?" Friend: "Koffi South." I didn't know whether I'd be going back here, given that there are other indie coffeehouses in the populous part of the Coachella Valley, let alone three other branches of Koffi, of which "North" looks good in the photos. However, to make things simple, I agreed to eat here. I had hot tea (Earl Grey) and a slice of quiche (they had two varieties and, yes, the quiche jokes are funny). My friend had coffee and a cheese Danish. My food was fine, but not memorable. The Danish and coffee were reported to be good, and quickly devoured before I could get a decent photo. The service varies from just okay to good. It depends on who you're interacting with. They're busy, so they can't be too invested in being obsequious to their customers. Prices are slightly higher than what they should be, but that's my opinion. This Koffi (South) is a landmark. In listening to others, it pulls in loyal locals and visitors alike. The inside tables are grouped against a wall near the entrance (from parking) or along the exterior windows where you'll have the customer traffic ordering and queuing. The ones away from the windows are better but, unless it's in the months that are brutally hot, you probably want to be outside to begin with. The exterior patio has an excellent vibe. It has various sizes of tables, adjustable umbrellas, a view onto Palm Canyon Drive and the Biltmore condo complex (which first started selling units at about $299K), plants, and water features. Also, your four legged friends are allowed on the patio. At an adjacent table, a lady visiting from "the 909" with her relatives, and who had a German Shepherd, was very friendly. The dog also decided that I was its friend. It's good that I had some hand sanitizer after rough housing with this sociable dog. It was my fault. Koffi South is a morning and afternoon place. What I came to learn is that, in general, coffee houses that keep later hours are few and far between in the popular towns in the Coachella Valley. You might find some that close at 9 p.m., with most closing at about 8 p.m. This coffeehouse is a node of sorts, and in an excellent location. That said, the slight upcharge might be to pay your way if you want to do the laptop thing or linger with your friends and family in the outdoor patio because, after all, someone has to pay for the LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION If you can't figure it out, I'm going with 3 stars, albeit 3 solid stars. I'm not in love with their product or service, not being a connoisseur of coffee to begin with, but Koffi South is a place that I, and so many others, would reasonably expect to revisit.

Cold brew with poppy lemon muffin

Busy cafe on a Sunday morning. Great tasting icey cold brew. Needed carbs for the road so I went with a muffin but they have a great selection of scones, muffins, and 3 options for breakfast sandwiches. Hipster ambiance. Plenty of seating indoor and out.

If you love coffee flavored milk when you order lattes, this is the place to go. Service was kind of spacey, our barista was very concerned with making the order behind ours before we even had a chance to order. When we finally received our order, my drink was full of coffee grounds, both in and out of the cup. We chose not to stick around, the inside is very small and not super comfortable to hang out

Spinach Quiche (large enough to share)

Stopped in for coffee and breakfast on our way out of Palm Desert, it was a great find! They have a variety of specialty coffees as well as breakfast items. The shop has quite a bit of seating both inside and outside and easy parking in their lot. The staff were all patient and friendly. I would recommend as a quick and easy coffee spot if you find yourself nearby!

We both had iced coffee and coffee was good! I also enjoyed the atmosphere. The outside area was breezy and relaxing. I'd come back!

Today I timed it, to be sure it wasn't just my imagination; from Apple Card transaction to lattes being completed was 14 minutes.

The flavor selection is rather small, but that means they get to focus more on the quality of their product. You can literally taste the difference just by sampling. Though I wanted everything (lmao), I ended up buying a single scoop each of rosemary and first date. Date is a classic & yummy flavor if you're in Palm Springs, duh... Rosemary, however, was interesting. I was worried it'd be too "grassy" or pungent because rosemary is a stronger tasting herb, but to my surprise, super well balanced with its vanilla bean base. Seriously, it was delicious. I'd like to come back for their rose pistachio and lemon meringue pie, if they still have those available. Highly recommend this spot especially if you've been hiking or out in the sun all day, it genuinely hit the spot. 100/10!!!!

The colorful cute design outside and inside the shop beckoned me to take a peek inside after a hearty crepe lunch right next door. To my delight, I discovered they had both vegan and traditional ice cream. I was able to sample a couple of flavors, and the barista who also serves as the ice cream scooper patiently waited for me to evaluate my favorite flavor. Between vegan birthday cake (very sprinkle tasting) and vegan ube, I chose ube. The ube ice cream was texturally fascinating and really tasty. With swirls of sweet potato and little bits of vegan marshmallow that gave a halo-halo feel because of the underlying coconut flavor, this ube ice cream was delicious. I kept going back for more. With great vibes, good service, and vegan ice cream options, I would come back again.

Melissa was very accommodating with the shorter than their recommended lead time of about 3.5 weeks versus 4 weeks in advance and was very responsive throughout the entire process through email with the final confirmation over the phone. On the day of the pick up, they also remembered we were coming in from LA and followed up with us to make sure we were going to get there before they closed at 4PM. They had a wide variety of flavors to choose from that could be cake, but we settled on traditional chocolate, one of the flavors that allow for a custom design. We sent them an inspiration photo of what we were looking for along with the color scheme and they absolutely knocked it out of the park on the looks. The cake was well received by everyone at the party. Since I was unable to get one of their more daring and creative flavors as the custom cake, I did go ahead and order a dozen of their Dubai chocolate cupcakes and very much enjoyed them.
