When we came for our initial appointment, we expected them to say our children needed treatment right away but they told us that we needed to have some other items taken care of before doing braces. The consultation was easy, no pressure and very informative, they were able to answer all of our questions. As we come to the end of our last child with braces, I can say without a doubt that I've been very impressed and thankful that I found Murdock Orthodontics. The entire team have been supportive, professional and caring. Also, I didn't mention earlier but their pricing is very competitive and even if they were priced higher, I'd still come here without hesitation. Highly, highly recommended Murdock Orthodontics!

We're always greeted as we walk through the door and everyone is very friendly. We've never had issues with scheduling appointments, even if it's for a broken bracket because someone forgot what they're not supposed to eat. UPDATE: I signed up for the plan and am in my 4th week of Invisalign and really like it, had to adapt some eating and drinking habits, but so far so good. A few 'attachments' fell off, Star Orthodontics had me come in to put them back and are just great to deal with. Love the T-Shirt!! Wife wants one now. UPDATE 2: Getting close to done and the folks there are still great. Should be done in another 2-4 weeks. All my checkups and fixes have gone great and am very happy with Star Orthodontics.

Nay nay, dear reader. Patients can earn gift cards to all sorts of local places! FYI: there are Starbucks and Sephora for the more discerning patient. (Me, I'm discerning. I'm stuck with the cheapest looking dentures. The bottom is so big. My bottom lip sticks out. I can't speak right. I can barely fit food into my mouth. They replaced the top for being too big but refused to replace the bottom. Dr Ernst seen they were too big and acknowledge it but was like oh well you signed a contract. Sure I signed a contract but I signed a contract for what i paid for not the trash I received.

He is covered by my insurance company so i felt comfortable to see him for this. The work is very well done. I had a lot of waiting time in the chair as he works on other patients at the same time. His assistants were all very nice. I used to be a dental assistant, so I trust him. When I used to go there, I always had a different hygienist and sometimes different dentist. I prefer to have familiar hygienists and my own dentist. My husband seems pleased with his care there.

She was spot on for the waiting time and he came in to the room having reviewed my pictures and x-rays. He was very personable and provided me with realistic expectations on the outcome of braces for me. He was not pushy at all. I walked out of there feeling fully informed on the time line for treatment, payment options and hardware options for braces. If you're in Mint Hill and need braces - give them a try! Do not be fooled by the local name--this office is actually owned and operated by a massive…read morecorporate entity (Smile Doctors). They function as a corporate chain while hiding behind a local doctor's name, which is exactly why they prioritize quotas and corporate stall tactics over patient care and parental consent. I am sharing our family's experience to warn other parents before they trust this office with their children. When we initially went to Robinson Orthodontics for a consultation, we met exclusively with Dr. Robinson. We were never informed that other providers would be swapped in, so it was an absolute shock when a different orthodontist suddenly took over my minor daughter's care. That substitute provider was incredibly rude, aggressive, and began making permanent changes to my daughter's teeth--even excessively filing them down--without consulting me or discussing it with us first. It was a horrible experience. At that time, I spoke with the office manager and made it clear we wanted to transfer out. To keep our business, the manager assured me 100% that moving forward, my daughter would strictly and exclusively see Dr. Robinson, and a formal directive was placed in her chart. Despite this explicit agreement, the office intentionally ignored the directive during a critical appointment, switching her provider yet again without notifying me or obtaining my consent. This same unauthorized provider performed clinical adjustments that resulted in immediate hardware failure. When confronted, management admitted in writing that my daughter's chart directive was explicitly bypassed by staff. Additionally, this practice has collected $5,801.00--97% of our comprehensive, multi-year contract value--yet they left her treatment completely unfinished and botched. Now that we are transferring to a competent practice to correct and complete her care, they are refusing to issue a fair refund to cover the $1,750.00 transfer fee, attempting to force us to sign a predatory liability waiver instead. Disregarding parental consent, permanently altering a child's teeth without permission, and exploiting families financially is unacceptable. A formal complaint has been filed with the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners. Take your children elsewhere.
