I will start by saying my initial conversation about who to see for the problem my husband was experiencing was with their scheduling department. gal was quite pleasant and got us an appointment quickly. Receptionist pleasant and efficient at appointment. our problem was the assistant who took us in prior to seeing Dr. She proceeded to basically lecture us because we did not have a referral from an optometrist. I suggested we leave and she calmed down a bit. Saying that was the problem with the general scheduling Department. That was not our problem and as patients she should not have treated us that way. Doctor was fine when we saw him. Unfortunately this is the second time I've had a problem there and probably will not return. I think they are too big and have lost the personal touch. read more

Complete joke. First time I had a visit, they told me they didn't take my insurance to later find out it was a mistake. They day of my appointment 15 min before, they called to tell me the doctor is out. Complete waste of time, find an eye doc that isn't a complete mess and has some standards of professionalism. read more

1000000000 percent I went in scared and I can out happy my Dr Gracie she and her staff are fine and very caring and thoughtful I well respect all the staff and well recommend my doctor for cataract surgery. She did a wonderful job. Thank you, Dr Grace I went to her and she gave me a cataract surgery and she put it on the line with me and she and her head nurse was caring for me and wanted the best for me and I came out with any trouble she gave me new eyes and I can see and wanted to go back to school and get my cdl and now I can do just that she and her head nurse at the st. Sister had an appointment but 2 days before her appointment she was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Was in hospital about 6 days then went to rehab for a month. Kotch eye sent her a bill for a missed appointment of $30. We explained to them the situation why the appointment was missed but still insisted we pay the $30. It's very sad that Kotch eye knowing what happened still wants the $30. If I could give 0 stars I would, needless to say my sister will not be returning to Kotch eye. read more

I needed help right away with an eye issue. Koch, in Wakefield was able to see me within 2 hours of my call. They resolved the issue and sent me away completely satisfied. Could not have asked for any better service or professionalism. I will certainly continue as a patient there as I have been happy all these years but this was over the top service! read more

I first went to Koch Eye many years ago after being referred there for a follow up appointment after being treated at the emergency room for an eye injury, That was the only time I actually saw Dr. Koch himself (who was very nice by the way) It is only in the last few years (since my old lady eyes have begun to need reading glasses) that I have come in regularly for my eye exam and glasses prescription. I never have any problem with wait time because there are several optometrists. Really the only thing I am not crazy about is their hours. I have been here twice and both experiences have been pretty solid. While I'm knocking off a star for wait time, I'm adding 4 for a pleasant experience with all of the staff. Upon walking in, the secretary was extremely friendly and helpful. They squeezed me into a same-day appointment due to getting something in my eye that wouldn't come out (ouch!). I waited about 40 minutes to be seen which was a tad frustrating but once the doctor came in, I felt at ease as he was extremely friendly, warm and very helpful. He helped my poor eye and went the extra mile by giving me an eye exam (my current script expired literally that day) afterwards. After fixing my eye, I went into the optical store attached to the office and was greeted by a friendly and also super helpful woman who struck up some fun conversation and helped me decide on the right pair. I had an all around great experience here and would highly recommend to anyone who needs eye care. read more

This office is fantastic. I had a huge problem with my previous optometrist's office so I was relieved that this office staff knew what they were doing and were efficient and friendly in the process. I noticed an elderly woman waiting for someone to pick her up and the staff offered to make a phone call for her to make sure they were on there way. That was pretty awesome. The technology is up to date and very helpful in diagnosing eye issues. The staff takes their time to assess everything and they seem to genuinely care. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and thorough with his care. He also discussed with me an issue I brought up about my son. I was very satisfied with my care and treatment there. I will be going to this office for all of my eye needs. The reason for 4 stars is because I was there for almost 2 hours and who really likes to spend that much time at a doctor's office? read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I was scheduled for cataract surgery with Dr Graise, who is very condescending. Luckily I have double coverage which sometimes is not good because "testing" is ramp-id. I was told that one eye would have an additional charge that insurance does not cover and I can do a payment plan. It would cost me about $80.00 per month. I show up at ST. James place at 6:45 am. The receptionist was VERY NICE but it ended there. When I was giving the intake person my information, I had forgotten my paperwork with my medications, (my fault) she was very rude, handed my husband a form and said you fill it out!. I must add there was NO ONE else in the place because it was the day after Christmas and expected very slow. Than she said I owe her $1950.00. I told her I was doing the payment plan sand she responded we don't do that here. WE went back and forth and she made "some inappropriate suggestions. I told her we were done. She asked if I was going to call Dr. office to reschedule and I told her to tell the Dr. to call me when she showed up to due surgery. I left. I waited until after 8 to call the office. I left message, I called 3 hrs later left another message, I called Friday morning at 9:00 am left another message. I am at my wits end. I am also scheduled to have the other done next Thursday!!!!! I got my eye check at another place but finally I found a place that would take our insurance. I went in the place, greeted courteously by the front desk and went in to the optometrist. Took a while before I was greeted, I had to say HELLO?. Finally a person. Again another problem. She could not find me in the system. Since it's my first time to have glasses, I really do not know how things go. The woman in charge was not patient enough to deal with the problem. She made me feel like I'm just wasting her time and I'm inconveniencing him. While I ask my husband for his social, she told me to wait outside at the waiting room. RUDE, but I stayed until problem resolved. She softened up. When it's time to get my glasses, I wanted my frame adjusted. She said, it doesn't look crooked. It felt crooked. Irritated, I can't get out of the place fast enough before I blow up. When I get home. My pair of glasses does not have a cloth that comes with it. Rude staf, impatient and unfriendly. I almost cancelled the transaction but I don't want to go through the process again but I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO THE KOCH EYE ASSOCIATES IN Woonsocket RI. read more
