Aleksei was responsive, prompt and reasonably priced. He showed up on time and completed my project efficiently within a few hours. He even went to get some missing parts without charging me for extra time. read more

We had a great experience working with Alex Kobzon! He helped us repair the weather stripping on our back door, replaced the screen door, and reattached a loose door handle. Alex was incredibly professional, efficient, and easy to communicate with throughout the process. His pricing was very fair, and the quality of his work really showed. Highly recommend!! read more

Aleksei was easy to schedule with and arrived right on time. He is all business and got right to work fixing my porch light and installing an outdoor outlet. He was also able to fix a kitchen cabinet that we've been having trouble with. Overall great to work with. read more

I just used Alex to fix a broken pocket door, which as many may know can be a pain when something goes wrong inside of the drywall. Alex responded quickly with very reasonable prices, and did a great job in fixing the door. He explained the work that he would have to do in a straightforward manner, which included opening up the drywall and installing stronger screws so that the track would be less likely to detach in the future. He also came back to touch up the frame when my wife requested a specific look that she wanted. In all, Alex is professional, courteous, straightforward, flexible, and very responsive. We are very happy with the work that he performed, and would definitely use him again for all types of home improvement work. The one thing that I would mention is that Alex is very good in communicating in English, but may be a tad limited over text (but not in a way that is unclear). I only mention this so that anyone considering his services doesn't hold it against him when obtaining a quote; he is very responsive, and once you begin to engage with him, he will get into detail for your specific situation, and will quickly build comfort on how he will address it in a reasonable and straightforward fashion. Highly recommended! read more

We just bought a house in Woodland Hills and it had the ugliest powder room known to man. There was an ugly 1990s style dark green tile, an ugly postmodern sink. The bathroom was very dimly lit and anytime you went in there it was just sad. Originally, I had Alex over just to repair a hole in the ceiling that was caused by a leak in the roof. He did such a good job that I asked him if he would feel comfortable helping me remodel the bathroom. These guys legitimately do it all. They put in new tile, painted the entire room, put in a new vanity, wall paneling, hardwired lit mirror and added two additional outlets so I could have a smart toilet and a pendant light next to the vanity-- and this was all accomplished in like three days. (They also helped fix the plumbing problems with the new defective smart toilet.) To really appreciate the transformation you'd need to see the video, but unfortunately, all I can put on here are photos. Here are before and afters of my bathroom, roof and newly painted wall with hung artwork-- with pets for scale. He also painted over a huge chalkboard wall and hung two very large 5' x 8' framed photos and an 80 pound metal artwork in my bedroom. Not only would I hire him again, I WILL be hiring him again. Nothing but the highest praise. read more

I needed a myriad of job tasked to be completed on a cliff side estate along the sea and was looking for quotes to field prospective contractors. Mister Alex from Kobzon & Co. was able to schedule a viewing the next day and additional kudos for being willing to drive from LA to Laguna Niguel on Super Bowl Sunday! I showed him where work was needed: 1. Painting 2. Locks 3. Electrical Etc... What I liked most was he sensed my urgency and was able to accommodate an in-person viewing of the prospective job site on short notice and he said he would come and he kept his word. Thank you Mister Alex and Kobzon Co! read more

Alex was very efficient with the install of my Tesla charging outlet. I'd definitely recommend him for these type of projects!

Alex was great! He was very communicative, showed up on time and as quick with his work. I needed a bunk bed assembled, hang a wall mount in the kitchen where tile is placed and did not break or crack. He hung a second mount and even climbed up the roof and helped put up an inflatable. Alex is a stud and I will definitely be using his services again soon! His prices are worth his quality of work! read more

Alex was fantastic. We had a ramp that needed to be fixed up and refreshed. Most others quoted us to replace it or quoted much higher for what should not have been such a major job. Alex was prompt, most reasonable price, and worked professionally and is genuinely a very nice person. In particular, we told him and the others we vetted we were looking for a long term relationship with a handyman and were making a list of other potential jobs to give. We believe we found that person with Alex at Kobzon. Highly recommend him. read more

Aleksei went above and beyond to help me with a tricky dishwasher installation. I had an old unit wedged tightly into place, and most contractors either wouldn't touch it or wanted to charge a fortune. Aleksei gave me a fair price, responded quickly, and showed up first thing the next morning. He managed to remove the old dishwasher and even modified the space--something I hadn't anticipated--to ensure the new one fit perfectly, all without charging extra. He approached the whole job with a positive, problem-solving attitude. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again. Highly recommend! read more

I hired Alex to fix my mailbox, paint my front door, bathroom walls, and fix a sloppy paint edge in a bedroom that another handyman created. Alex had the best response time of everyone I contacted. He was willing to charge either by the hour or by the job. Aside from the paint which I supplied, he came with his own equipment. He worked diligently until the work was done. afterward, his cleanup was thorough. He was able to make sure I was satisfied with the work, and did a few touch ups where needed. I was very happy with the quality of the work except for the front door. It didn't turn out nicely due to a miscommunication with neither of us at fault, but Alex was willing to meet me halfway: he discounted the work and was also willing to obtain more paint and discount his price to fix it and get it right. Even when we couldn't agree on who said what, he still emphasized that he was glad to have worked with me. Professional. Be as specific as possible for each part of the project to help misunderstandings. Overall his work is good and I would consider using him again should the need arise. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! This is the worst experience I've had with a service provider of any kind in recent memory. He came a couple weeks ago, and I asked if he could fix the garage door. He said yes. He spent several hours trying to fix. He needed a part so he said he needed to go to Home depot to buy it. He did, came back, worked some more and then said he needed to go to home depot AGAIN to get a different part. He worked for a while longer, and then said he had to go. The garage door was not fixed. And he billed me for 4 hours of time including his two useless trips to home depot. Despite all of this, I wanted to give him a chance to finish the job. We scheduled a day to come back 10 days later. I had a hard time getting in touch with him to schedule when he would arrive on the day. He ignored my first text for 3 days. Then we finally scheduled an arrival time. On the day of, he missed the window he was supposed to come in, didn't answer my texts or calls, and then an hour after he was scheduled to come he told me he had to cancel. So, I wasted $400, and two afternoons of my time, two half days off work for NOTHING. His english is terrible, which makes it difficult to communicate. His skills as a handyman were poor, and the communication was HORRENDOUS. I've had lots of positive experiences with handymen in the past, there are plenty of good ones in LA. DON'T USE THIS ONE!!!!! read more

4.5 stars. Aleksei does great work, it was just a little hard to schedule a time to have the work done. That being said, I am happy with the work he did. I had two requests, one of which was an issue with flickering lights previously installed by a different electrician. Aleksei tried a few solutions and eventually was able to solve my issue without any demo. His price is fair and he is really speedy. Would hire again in the future. read more

We had a great experience with Alex! He did an excellent job on our sliding doors and windows--everything looks and works perfectly.
