My first experience with microblading was at Koa on the recommendation of a friend who had been a couple months before. I was incredibly nervous because I had done the typical google search which came up with so many horror stories of botched eyebrows. I reached out to Kieran at Koa who made me feel so comfortable and answered all of my questions with ease and patience. I scheduled my first appointment with her and she provided all of the pre-care instructions. After more research, I found that Kieran actually has had the best training for microblading through PhiBrows and is incredibly knowledgeable. Upon my first visit, Kieran and I spent well over two hours talking and shaping my brows with a pencil to make sure I was happy with shape, arch, color, etc. She showed me the tools she would use and what each does, as well as provided numbing cream to alleviate any pain. The process was actually very easy and we chatted and laughed the whole time! I was surprised with how smoothly the healing process went after my first visit and Kieran followed up with me every step of the way. We scheduled a follow up appointment and did a touch up about 6 weeks later. I could not be happier with my brows and I have sent a couple of my friends to her, who have also loved the results. In an attempt to look nice for an upcoming family wedding, I took a friend's advice and researched options in our area for microblading. My consultation with Kieran relieved my concerns. Her cozy cottage studio is immaculate, and she is exceptional! I asked for age-appropriate natural looking brows, not expecting much as mine had thinned and were never great to begin with. I'm thrilled with the results! She measures diligently and works to best compliment your face. If you are reading this review you are probably super nervous about even considering microblading and want to find the best, most natural looking brows around. There are a lot of horror stories out there, so do your research. I'm here to tell you that Kieran at Koa Brows is amazing, hands down. She's had extensive training with Phi Brows and is very professional. You go in for a free initial consultation first and then schedule your appointment. In my case, since my brows were so sparse and uneven (I basically had none), Kieran completely reshaped then (with some sort of compass to make sure they were even!) and I'm telling you, it has changed the whole look of my face for the better. Apparently i had very uneven brows before (yikes!). They healed nicely and everyone is shocked when I tell them I have microblading because they look so natural. I often say "Look! This is fake hair! What a game changer! I've only done the initial session - I go back for my 6 week touch up this week, but I'm already loving my brows! Kieran took her time measuring, evening out my existing shape and creating the perfect arch. Loved my experience here and will definitely be returning for sure. When I say I have straight lashes, they are pin straight. I also had the added curve ball of my hooded monolids. Kieran is such a wonderful artist! I overplucked my eyebrows when I was younger and they never grew back. I have been drawing them in for ages (hoping they don't sweat off in the summer).
