Few problems I've encountered is the non-existence of Spectrum WIFI that's has the WEAKEST SIGNAL EVER so the maintenance man can't fix the TV because it barely picks up a signal to any stations; so NO movies, NO local stations, no premium channels. Also, they don't clean your room on weekly basis as needed especially when requesting cleaning, toilet paper, towels, vacuuming & garbage removal. There's a laundromat on site but the 2 machines are broken; the pool is always closed due to bad water tests & in need of shock treatments. I pay over $5K a month to stay here so I think I should get the same services as any new arriving guests no?

The place was exceptionally clean. We were offered room cleanup every day, which is unusual and pleasant. Our room was spacious and quiet. The staff was friendly and gracious. My two issues with this motel were about corporate choices. First -- I think the breakfast selections on offer are strange, very much not to my taste. This has been true of every Towneplace we've stayed at. Second, the handicap shower plumbing didn't work very well. The cable to the handheld showerhead was too short and also leaked. The grab bars in the shower are polished chrome and were very slippery when wet. Again -- these were choices made at the corporate level.

As soon as I walked into the office I thought for sure id be met by some grumpy old guy who hates tourists and is rude like most of the other motels around. But NO!!!! I was met by a very pleasant lady who goes by the name Smita. I was so taken back by her professionalism that I had to bring it her attention. She was very polite and we had a nice chat about the other motels, one in particular (Dolly's Villa Vista) where the manager is super rude and the rooms look like they haven't been remodeled in at least 30 years. After my card was processed I ended up $6 short on the room and she was so kind to just say don't worry about. I was very thankful and told her I'd leave her a review after my stay. Well... I kept my promise and just want to say that the ElRancho has been an excellent overall experience. Thanks Smita for everything! Next time in the area im definitely staying here. Ten out of ten

My husband and I drove through the neighborhood and we started to get a bit skeptical. The hotel is situated in a neighborhood - there's a high school across the street. There isn't a lot to do in the immediate area (though there is a very cute beachfront park within walking distance - we spent a few hours down there). It seemed like a very strange for a hotel location, but we continued on. Each room is named after a region known for it's wine - we were in the Stellenbosch room - a leopard print chair, some giraffes and travel books for Africa embellished the room. Themes are fun. The shower was amazing! Multiple shower heads - I couldn't help but sing "Africa" by Toto. The bed was super cozy. We ended up locking ourselves out of our room very early in our stay. At a normal hotel, that's an easy fix, just head down to the front desk. At the Sheridan Hotel, the office hours are sporadic. We didn't know if we were going to be able to get back in. Luckily, we heard papers rustling inside the locked office and knocked. The owner was insider and she was incredibly nice and helped us out. Phew! The hours for the restaurant downstairs were strange too - closed on Mondays. Open only for brunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, then open full service the rest of the week. We had lunch there on Tuesday and it was delicious (Applewood Salad for me and my husband had the Chicken Panini - we both cleaned ours plates). So, in closing - the location is a bit strange and you need to be pretty self sufficient since the hours are sporadic, but the rooms are beautiful and comfy, the restaurant was tasty and the customer service was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel for a romantic weekend away where you don't plan on leaving the room much.

There is a full kitchen with a fridge, sink, dishwasher, microwave and the cabinets were well stocked with utensils, plates and bowls. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Other reviews about the breakfast here were not exaggerated. Had the best breakfast here as they use real eggs, quality of the meats and other offering were easily a step above what you get elsewhere and there was great variety. Meats included bacon, turkey sausage, vegan sausage and chorizo. There were bagels, biscuits, home fries, different types of bread, oatmeal and make your own waffle station. There were many different sauces and aiolis to use as well. I highly recommend this hotel and will be coming back. It's a short 10 minute drive to downtown Milwaukee and there's plenty of parking.

I asked if she could step out and even holler to see if it was left. She hung up while I was on hold. I believe that there were cognitive issues that did not allow her to understand why priority should have been given to just a check or transfer card. A stranger took it and I had to lock down my card. Luckily, they knew that I mentioned my company.. and actually turned it in to someone else in my company. They started that they tried to tell her and she never made an attempt to call me back on my phone or room. I am going to report this to my company and would never stay there again.

Shortly after our stay, a member of our family developed numerous bites. I am attaching photos taken the day we left the campground, along with updated photos taken several days later showing that the bites continued to worsen. After contacting management, they sent us an Ecolab inspection report stating that no evidence of bed bugs was found. We went and saw a doctor. As a paying customer, you expect some sort of compassion, open communication, and a willingness to investigate further--not a report that, from my perspective, did not reflect what we experienced. Given that this occurred during the busiest part of the camping season, it was hard not to feel like protecting cabin rentals and the campground's reputation was given a higher priority than addressing a guest's health and safety concerns. Whether that was the intention or not, that is certainly how the situation came across to us. I encourage anyone considering a stay to review the attached photos. Everyone can draw their own conclusions, but our family's experience left us feeling extremely disappointed. We understand that no business is perfect, but how a company responds when something goes wrong says everything.
