Jaegar sauce was packed with mushrooms in a brown gravy and the Balkan were fresh chopped onions, a flavorful red sauce and a white sauce with fresh herbs. Amazing amazing. The servers and, I believe, the owners seemed to know everyone. We speak only rudimentary German and only one young woman spoke a bit of English. But we were still treated great. We muddled through the menu with what we knew and some guesses and a bit of help with Google translator. My wife went with the white asparagus risotto while I ordered one of the specials which we paired with a bottle of Riesling. Now to be fair I knew I was ordering a meat per the German word "fleisch". But I didn't recognize the type. Well "sülzfleisch" it turns out was a type of headcheese, home made, with a sauce on the side and baked potatoes. I was surprised but dug in.
