They have really good Turkish food at low prices in the Turkish part of town. We were able to sit outside in the cafe area because it was a nice day, and the experience was quite enjoyable. The service was pretty quick, but we didn't get so much help with the menu. My lamb stew had a delicious flavor to it, and it was spiced well. It came with bread, so I was able to dip with the remaining sauce. They didn't have tap beer and only had bottles available. A restaurant in Germany should always have tap beer. read more

First, be aware they have three different stores. So if you schedule to meet friends it's smarter to share the address where you will be. That being sad, place is very cute and has a lot of options from hot dishes to the salad bar. Service is TERRIBLE, and that is probably why this place gets 2-stars rather than three. I would not come back here just because everyone working behind the bar are more worried about their cigarettes and text messages than serving your table. We order a portion of dips and pita, and a local organic beer. As a main I ordered the chicken while my company had the lamb. They were both really big portions and with a nice price (€8 each). Food is good, but waiting 30 min to get the waiter's attention is unnaceptable. read more

Went here to grab some spontaneous lunch. I wanted to order the Pide with Seitan but they didn't have any so I got the vegetarian Pide filled with spinach and cheese. It was served with some tzaziki, walnut/pepper paste and hummus. It was good but nothing life changing. My friend ordered a salad but without cheese and what was it served with? A generous serving of cheese...she got a new one but the salad was good as well. So food was good but the service was horrible! The waitress was totally unmotivated and when I initially asked here what the quiche of the day was she just told me to go inside and check it out myself. Thanks. Furthermore she forget the bread to go with my friend's salad and it took us ages until we could get here attention to ask for it. Prices were moderate and fine, food is okay to good but the service is a thumbs down. read more

Another Lunch time catch up with my friend at Bergmanstraße. This time we felt like some tasty Mediterranean Food, as I been couple of time to the cafe/shop at Oranienstraße and their Food Shop just opposite side of this Cafe, I suggest this as our lunch choice. As we entered the cafe, it was packed and only one table was free which was not really appealing to us, so we chose to sit outside, even early march. At least it was a sunny day and they provided us with blankets which made it quite comfy and not to chilly. My friend ordered the sultan plate, which was very nice and rich in flavour and served with a basket of fresh breads which smiled and me in such a charming way "you can look but you can't touch or eat it" sometimes it's just cruel to be coeliac and always have to hold back with those yummy bread pieces. I ordered the Anatolische kohlrouladen, which let me forget about my little flirt with the bread basket and convinced I DO NOT need this bread ;) Along our food we both had a glass of the house wine for about 3,50 which was decent considering the price and finished with a Turkish tea. If you around this area you should check it out it's a perfect lunch time place just be aware it could be quite busy. read more

A very nice and authentic atmosphere here. I guess one of the best places to go when you're in this area. I've been here now for two weeks, living around the corner, and discovered lots a good and some bad places, but this is definitely a good one! Little bit off topic, because the food is good in this place: I guess, also from what I read in other peoples reviews, in Berlin more for less, and a touch of hipness, is what it takes to be successful as a restaurant. Time until order taken: 20min Time until coffee served: +15min Time until cake served: +15min One coffee was served wrongly Time until the correct coffee was served: +30min When we where leaving the waiter brought the corrected coffee, I said no thank you. At the check out she calculated the very late coffee despite us not accepting it. I denied. The cake was fine, and the food there in general I'm sure is good, but this terrible service is unacceptable. If your are patient with bad overworked and disrespectful service, you may still enjoy your food here. read more

My partner and I were walking back to our flat after a busy day of sightseeing and happened upon Knofi. We decided to give it a try, and it was terrific. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. We both had the Knofi Teller, which is a fantastic vegetarian dish. Add a beer and an after dinner espresso, and it was a perfect end to our day! (Take note: they don't take credit cards. So have cash on hand or be ready to walk to an ATM.) read more

Pretty good!! I went to the Knofi for lunch on a Monday. I had the Knofi platter since I was overwhelmed with the offerings and thought this would be a good way to sample their offerings. I liked pretty much all of it. the 'pastes' were tasty. The standard mediterranean things on there like dolmades and filled eggplant were standard but very tasty. All in all a great experience! The place also looks nice inside. It has the ambient of an old-style grocery store with a lot of stuff on shelves. Very nice!! Enjoy! read more

Vegetarian friendly! Wonderful lentil soup with heaps of bread an at a very reasonable price. Their gössi I also a good option. The hummous is smooth and well prepared. I have to say that the one coffee I got there was not very good however, but I can't stop going back just for the soup. read more
