Wonderful little restaurant. I've been here on 2 occasions: once for a hearty, spontaneous…read morebreakfast with my man & another time for coffee & cake with my little one. The breakfast was awesome- very filling with fresh warm bread, butter, sundried tomatoes, olives, chorizo, cheese, fresh salads and eggs... Everything tasted fresh & the owner/waiter was very kind & friendly. The coffee here is also solid! As is the cider (yum!). The cakes also look great, but the one I chose during my second visit was "meh." Anyway, the location is great for me & directly across from the Spree & Schloss Charlottenburg. Very nice on sunny days to sit outside, despite it being a bit loud on the street. Alternatively, inside is Fine for families- that one morning, a group of 5 strollers & moms in jogging clothes came in together for meals. Anyway, I'm definitely returning in the future. Great addition to the Kiez. Desperately needed & much appreciated.

The taste was good, well balanced between the chocolate and the nusse, also the consistence was tender, but as I said it was very sweet and hard to get finished The price was totally fine I liked the place outside, it's actually close to a pretty busy street, but you don't feel too much noise and in the end it's a pleasant experience I will try something else next time

This is our neighborhood bakery/cafe. It has been here since 1978 and has always been an organic…read morebakery ever since. The interior is rustic and comfortable. There isn't much space to sit inside but there is enough outside. The bread, coffee, cakes and pizza are amazing here and what makes it even better is knowing the background and the history of this bakery. We were lucky enough to learn about it during the open bakery tour, which takes place once a year. We learned that they get their grains locally for years from the same organic farmer. They have two mills grinding their own flour. And a system that transfers the flour into the bakery, where it is still prepared and kned the old traditional way. All with a lot of love and passion. The bakery is owned by six partners at the moment and creates this unique love for their profession that is reflected in the quality of their products. I am so impressed by this entire concept that from today on I am committed to buy my bread only here and no longer at the grocery store. If you haven't been here yet, do take the trip and try their bread/pastries and ask tge staff any questions you have, they are always helpful and friendly. This place has also a small room where they sell baking items and organic products. Extra tip: Customers may also purchase their own dough to bake it at home.

What a cool little bakery!…read more My German Airbnb host recommended this place as a wonderful organic bakery which is right around the corner to her apartment in Charlottenburg. One Friday morning, I took a stroll to get breakfast. As soon as you step in, you feel welcomed - the bakery is warm and cozy. One of the staff behind the countered said hello; when I asked if he spoke English, he explained a little bit about the bakery and handed me a menu describing the bread and pastries. The place is most famous for their whole wheat breads, though they have breads made with spelt and rye which sound like they are gluten free. There is a chalkboard on the wall which describes which days of the week certain types of loaves of bread are made -- how organized and cool is that! I had the obst-quark pastry (pinwheel type pastry with cherry inside) and süsse münder (a small cashew type of pastry) plus coffee. The only downside to the cafe is that there is not much seating, though I was able to share a spot with one of the regulars in the seating room/ shop area. A nice bakery oasis in this heavily residential area - I highly recommend you check it out if you love pastries and bread.
