We hired these folks for a second project, three years after the first. This time they paved 0.3 miles of rutted, potholed road, installed a drainage culvert and added turnoff aprons for other homes on the road. They spent almost two days grading and prepping the road. As three years ago, they showed up when they said they would and got the project done on time. Very nice finished product that is a hundred times better than the old gravel road. One of my neighbors liked their previous work so much, he had them pave his entire driveway at the same time. I highly recommend this company. read more

I am very unhappy with the customer service of this company. They did a job at my storage facility and blew debris under the door to my unit covering my brand new $200,000 boat that was freshly detailed. I called them and the response i got was it was not their problem! That's absolutely false! It is KNL's problem! You got paid to do a job but hire incompetent people that still makes it your problem. Anybody out there considering using kNL i would think twice because when they make a mistake they will put it on someone else. And on top of that i was only trying to get them to cover the cost of my mobile detailer to fix it... read more

Another great experience with K&L Industries. Mark with his many years in the industry did the bid in no time. We were able to sneak in the job during an unlikely dry day. They all worked like a well oiled machine, reck out in the morning and afternoon paving. The job turned out great with some tricky drainage issues. We will definitely use them again whenever needed. read more

This review isn't a review of their asphalt work but rather how they failed to communicate with the community on a large project. They were hired to do a paving project in a residential neighborhood. No one was notified and we woke up to a tore up road with such significant deep pits you were concerned about driving on it and bottoming out your car. After a neighbor brought up concerns, someone did smooth it out some so we could drive on it but we shouldn't have had to ask, common sense should have been their guide. Then someone broke a gas line so it was either them or the other contractor working on the road. Bottom line, put signs up or something if you're doing a large project K&L so people can plan accordingly. It just seemed like a complete disregard to anyone who lives on the street. I hope your asphalt work is better than your communication read more

We hired K&L Industries in June, 2023 to pave our driveway and parking area, around 3,000 SF. They were professional, friendly and did a beautiful job. We were very happy with the results---until we checked the grade. Unfortunately the parking area was graded incorrectly and water flowed onto our walkway to the front door, despite having been assured several times, by more than one employee, that it would not drain there. To the company's credit, they ripped out the parking area pavement and did it over to correct the incorrect grading. The second attempt is graded correctly and flows where we want it to. So that's good. However, the quality of the re-do is simply shabby. The asphalt is nowhere near as smooth or nice looking as it was the first time. Since the driveway portion was done right the first time that was left in place, it is easy to compare the two different paving jobs and it's like night and day. The seam where the old and new meet looks terrible, and they dropped blobs of hot asphalt on the old part, staining it and leaving bumps in the otherwise smooth surface (which we've had to scape off--we had to heat one large blobs with a torch to scrape it off. The new asphalt is very rough, pocked-marked as it were. We are extremely disappointed. When we commented to two employees how quickly they got the second job done (2 hours), they said they had 4 jobs to do that day. Obviously, they rushed ours in order to get the next three done. K&L has a serious Quality Assurance issue as obviously no one bothered to check the grade the first time, nor the quality of the paving the second time. Very disappointing. As stated, the first job was beautiful and done well. But when they came back to repair their major mistake, they did a quick, just get-it-done job that resulted in a sub standard low quality job. For these reasons we do not recommend K&L Industries. read more

Brand new asphalt driveway: front and along side of house and shop. Excellent job. Foreman constantly put a level on it, making sure it angled away from house and shop. Very happy: water plants, wash car and water flows away from house right off. Price was a couple thousand less than a quote from another paving Co. 2 years ago, so happy with that too. Recommend them to anybody. Large crew where everyone knew what to do, so it was quick and efficient start to end. Even pattched a hole in the private road also when I asked. Wasn't even part of the job, just extra, over & above the job. read more

The entire process of working with K&L was super smooth and so, so worth it. They even helped move a huge boulder that was contributing to flooding. Our neighbors are envious of our new driveway! read more

Buyer be ware. This company not only does poor quality work they make up things and blame you. Had a driveway and a small parking spot done. Pretty much everything was sub par as I understood it. The owner Keith, after I asked him to come and do a quality walk through with me said and I quote his first words- "I have 5 minutes and I am going to sue you". Literally his first words. Almost came off as he was the actual owners spoiled brat son. No real owner would speak to a client like this. Luckily I am not easily intimidated. Long story short he blamed everything on me for not being there took zero responsibility. Buyer be warned. Very nasty owner . read more

We had approximately 100 foot driveway paved. The estimator showed up on time and understood exactly what we wanted and made a couple excellent suggestions which made the project turn out better. Price was competitive. Schedule was great and they even had it done early after calling to see if that was OK. We were out of town but returned the day after and the job was complete, flawless, and very clean and tidy. The office followed up to be sure we were happy and we sure were and are still. I recommend them highly. read more

I requested a quote from K&L for a large commercial parking lot. Charley Watt responded very promptly, and was able to quickly schedule a time to meet me. Charley gave a very informative and thorough explanation of what could be repaired, what needed to be replaced, and his recommendations based on our budget and expectations. The bid (which we received very quickly) was a great value to us, and I would definitely recommend K&L! read more

A 5 star company with 5 star employees. K and L paved my driveway October of 2022. It was a great experience from beginning to end. I appreciate K and L on their patience while I got my act together after failing to get the proper permit and failing to get the final inspection. Once paving started they were ontime and on budget. Each employee I spoke with was friendly and knew what needed to be done. The drive way looks great! In a couple of years I have another project for them and K and L will be my first call. The K and L crew did a great job from the estimation process to completion. read more

K and L was hired by the county to repave the many short streets in our neighborhood, including the dead-end we live on. The project was substantial and took several days. Staff on site were flexible and communicated well when we needed to leave the house. What we really appreciated was their follow-up. Several days after the project was completed, a vehicle and two staff members came through and cleaned up the small pieces of debris left behind. Ramon and Freddy spent a few moments chatting with us and took their responsibilities seriously. Overall, we experienced good people and a job well done. read more

We had our 100ft long driveway patched and re-sealed this year and the K & L team did a fabulous job all the way around. I got several bids from local companies and K & L wasn't the least expensive. But, it was clear from the outset that their preparation and attention to detail was what we were looking for to preserve the asphalt. You do get what you pay for! The K & L team had a great front person and the work crew was prompt and professional, warm, collaborative, organized, efficient, thorough and fast. It was a very positive experience and we would choose K & L all over again. read more

Great company! Mike gave a bid for sealcoating right away and was able to squeeze us in their schedule on short notice. Not only that, they were less than half the price as companies claiming to be "affordable"...crew was polite, professional, and did not skimp on product or prep. Would definitely use them again. read more

Fast well done Charley did a great job good communication no suprises

Really happy with our new asphalt driveway. They did an amazing job removing our existing driveway, hauling it away and replacing it with new asphalt in less than a day. I got several bids and their's was the lowest price. Would recommend. read more

I would strongly recommend K&L. From the initial site visit to the team installing our new driveway (450 feet uphill), they were professional and knowledgeable. I interviewed 4 companies, and K&L stood out for their experience, follow-through, and competitive pricing. Thanks K&L! read more

I had a driveway put in my side yard with a new culvert over a ditch and an extension and rework of my existing driveway. The road and slope also make a lot of issues for water runoff in this space. They reworked so there is a gulley the water can run down with street run off in the rain. This has made a huge difference! They were on time, efficient and did exactly what I had asked. They navigated with the city inspector as well and did a great job pivoting plans to accommodate reworking a ditch space we hadn't expected. read more

Mark Zimmerman came out and not only provided us with an estimate to repave our driveway and add new pavement to a rocked side area for additional RV parking. He was very thorough and also recommended artistic improvements to smooth the pavement up to our sidewalk. The paving crews did a remarkable job in April and we've received so many compliments from our neighbors. There were a few drainage issues afterwards and Mark came out immediately to look over everything with us and then the crews came back to make adjustments. They are a professional company and Stand by their work. It's now August and we are still very pleased with the quality work! read more
