I have found his practice to be not only soothing and corrective, but also quite enlightening and I've learned a lot about how my body's systems interact with each other . I regularly end up getting an extra 10 or 15 minutes of work done, because he wants to be sure everything is balanced and aligned , and at no point have I ever felt like he was rushing to get me out the door. I should also say that on the artication I have needed to reschedule he's been gracious and accommodating , in addition to this , on at least two occasions he was willing to reschedule on very short notice! I can no longer recommend Eligio…read more As someone substantially disabled in a car accident just before Covid and with long covid I had decided to stay with Eligio as a provider even tho things weren't always smooth because for a time i thought it would be hard to find someone new. That's my bad. In the last year however Eligio's work, manner and ability to keep agreements has substantially declined even with consistent communication including phone, texts and in person communication that included several rounds of agreement making. Before this last year the issues were: he always pulled my hair when he worked on my head and neck and made a joke about the "hair pulling part of the session." Which is not just not funny, he knows he's hurting me but never upped his skills to stop. For years. That actually should have been enough to stop working with him. He'd be casually late for quite awhile until i insisted he notify me before the start of our session time. He never learned to calibrate to my needs had to constantly be reminded to not push too hard on my feet and back and not tork/tear my knees when raising my legs. This should have been a deal breaker given how long it went on. We did out calls to my home and he had to be reminded of basically everything including putting the toilet seat down in our bathroom. (I'm disabled and bending over is hard. I literally asked him 12 times to put it down before he remembered once on his own.) people are imperfect and I try to be forgiving and communicative. He did not put the room back in order after use. He moved all kinds of things and frequently did nothing to clean up post session. Annoying but not a deal breaker. Like I said he's just not paying attention. Over the past year several things have happened that made us decide that we cannot work with him any more. Eligio injured my back. Repeatedly He has always required feedback to keep him from using too much pressure or not torking my knees. But in the last year he made things demonstrably worse many, many times. And generally took no responsibility for that impact . Now I realize that's because he's just not able to attune to sensitive needs unless constantly directed. In other words: his sessions are not relaxing because he has a tendency to accidentally and repeatedly injure me. At least a third of the sessions for the last year he hurt me and I had significantly more pain when standing after a session. If I fall asleep in a session, he reliably injures my back. Every time. When I woke up in pain and asked him to fix it, he charged for that time having never mentioned it to me or asked for consent or created clarification. Which is code for he: he hurt me and overcharged me and then was pissed when I asked him about it. His response? He's short on cash and he worked over the session time. I talked to him and put my feedback in writing to him. We made new agreements that included getting consent for additional fees in the moment and stopping sessions if I fall asleep. His major concern of stopping a session if I fall asleep was "will I get paid?" Given that we paid on time every time, that was wild And utterly self serving. The final deal breaker was weaponizing my diagnosis against me instead of taking ownership of his decisions. He is someone who has a hard time taking responsibility for his impact. I cannot recommend him. Especially if you have pain.

Before coming to Ben I had neck and shoulder pain that had been a chronic problem for many years…read moredue to constant computer use and had recently gotten so bad that I could no longer do a full 40 hour week or play guitar without a lot of pain. As a software engineer at a major tech company and an avid musician, that was a big problem! Determined to resolve this issue, I saw 5 physical therapists and did the recommended exercises every day for a year. I even went to physical therapy every week for 3 months before seeing Ben and despite all that, the physical therapy was only doing a mediocre job of keeping the pain at bay, and certainly not resolving the root problem. I came to Ben because I read some of his articles via a Facebook ad and I was impressed by the intricate detail in which he seemed to understand the human body and its mechanics. I started out with remedial deep tissue massage. My body was pretty wrecked and while I was hoping for a quick fix, a few sessions of myofascial release had me in much better shape. But massage doesn't fix the root problem either, and that's when Ben asked if I would like to try his personal training program. While I was skeptical at first (after my lineage of physical therapy with meh results) I had become convinced that Ben really does know substantially more about how muscles connect, operate together, the problems that can develop, and how to fix them more than any so-called "expert" I had ever met. In fact just for fun I like to quiz Ben about what muscle is what, how they connect, or what a certain exercise does and the depth and breadth of his answers always blow me away. Ben's personal training program gradually solved my neck and shoulder pain issues and left me feeling better than I have in many years. I can easily work as much as needed and I can even work late into the night when needed (one late night used to sabotage my entire week with pain) and even better, I can play guitar as much as I like every day without any neck or shoulder pain now!!! I can't wait to see what other activities I can actually do pain-free now that I have built up core strength and trained my muscles to work correctly together again. I feel like I'm 20-something again! Ben's experience in solving pain in the body is like the hands-on equivalent to my experience in solving bugs in software. He's a real expert and I am absolutely certain that if you trust him and stick with the program that you will see "miraculous" results just like I did.
