Things here are quite expensive, but on par for the designers offered: Nanette Lepore, Theory, Juicy, Rebecca Beeson, etc. (not full lines, but selections from each). Most everything is so pretty, but what is on sale, well, you can tell why they had to put it on sale. A few times, I've found some cool things, like a green Juicy long-sleeve tee that I loved but wore so much it developed holes in it. Note to self: stop being so lazy and hand-wash things that are supposed to be hand-washed. I was happy to see that they added a shoe section. Much needed. Only they charge a lot of money for supposedly "upscale" brands that I've never even heard of. I bought a pair of shoes suspiciously on sale from $120 to $50. I say "suspiciously" because designer shoes don't ever go on that kind of sale. They were supposedly good quality leather, but cut up my feet so badly, I think they were something else. Maybe they included some leather amongst the plastic. However, Precision also carries really great lines like Faryl Robin. So it's just hit-or-miss. In my case, I should have used better judgment, and no, doing three to four laps around the store in them does not even begin to reflect how they will perform on the street. A big gripe: the only Hanky Panky underbeneaths they carry are the low-rise ones. I suppose they are suited well for some very thin women, and that's fine. But I would have appreciated having the option.

You have a week to return for store credit, then after that you are SOL. They have some really cute stuff and the staff is actually really good a putting you in stuff that you wouldn't have tried before but that looks great on you. However, they tell you that EVERYTHING looks great on you and then start playing the "are you going to get it" game. Since I'm easily swayed by compliments ("really, I look skinny in this, I'll take it in every color"), I would end up buying things that I would instantly regret. Since I have no will power, I just stopped coming in for a while. Le sigh. There was a really cute dress in the window this weekend, so I broke my self imposed moratorium and went back in. There were a couple of interesting changes: (1) no more shoe section, just a few shoe choices now; (2) no more theory or other really expensive lines (the economy hits us hard); (3) the former shoe section is now the cheap clothes/sample sale section (I'm not sure that this is about, the clothes are never well made, usually are made out of polyester and they never have any sizes); (4) the sales people are just the same (I was greeted with - "hey, long time no see, you have to come in more so I can keep my job." Ummm, okay). So I bought the really cute dress, resisted buying another cute dress and the super cool belt that they put with the dress I ended up buying. I probably won't come back as a regular, my wallet can't really handle it. But it was a fun trip down memory lane and I now have a super cute spring dress (if spring ever arrives).

Unfortunately, I didn't realise until after ordering that their refund policy only applies to US customers. When the dress arrived, it looked nothing like I expected and was a terrible fit. As with any online clothing purchase, you can't try it on before buying, so I requested a return for a refund. My request was refused simply because I live in Australia. What is even more disappointing is that I have since sent three separate emails through both their customer service email address and online enquiry form asking them to reconsider this policy. I have not received a single response. For a premium-priced clothing brand, this level of customer service is unacceptable. I genuinely don't understand how a fashion retailer expects international customers to shop with confidence when there is no option to return unsuitable items. I will never purchase from this brand again and strongly recommend that anyone outside the US thinks twice before ordering directly from them. The clothing is expensive for what it is, and the complete lack of customer care has been incredibly disappointing. There are plenty of other brands that value their international customers--shop with them instead.

I have been shopping and loving Tuckernuck for the past four years. All my purchasing was done on line. Their customer service online was incredible and they had helped me find the perfect sizes & styles. There was only one time when I had to exchange an item for a different size. When I heard that they would be opening on the Upper East Side, I quite literally jump for joy! Well, maybe it could be better describe as I shopped joyously! I was there on opening day. The staff was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. On the opening day, I was gifted some delightful special items. On that particular day, I was doing shopping for an event. The woman who helped me was very honest in terms of what looked good on me, what looked okay and what looked fantastic. I also made some impulse buys, how could I resist? I bought two lovely dresses, three pairs of stunning shoes, two sweaters, a Barbour (especially designed for Tuckernuck) jacket, a handbag and jewelry. This is my kind of paradise! I went back again last week and walked out, with several beautifully curated classics with a twist! They carry a great selection of stables and special occasion items. Tuckernuck isn't overtly trendy. It's not the type of merchandise that you'll wear for six months and then realize it's already out of fashion. I am in my 50's and have no trouble finding gorgeous styles that are age appropriate without, having to forgo fashionable, chic and classy. Their customer base is wide. My confusion is, why would Tuckernuck still be sending me a link to purchase with a discount code if it expired? And then send another one to fix it that also expired and get a sorry for any confusion message but no discount for you today!
