I went through 3 primary care doctors, saw 4 specialists, was written over 10 different…read moreprescriptions, and was feeling awful for well over 9 months. Not to mention racked up over $10,000 in medical bills and the needle was moving in the wrong direction. Fortunately I found Doctor Kozlowski, who listened to my concerns, performed the right functional tests, and offered high quality vitamins and supplements. Literally in about 4 months I went from feeling my worst ever to feeling 80% of my usual self again and am still improving everyday. If you want to pop some pills, take the easy road, and feel slightly better short term while risking your long term health, go to your current doctor. If you want to learn about a whole other side of medicine that can actually heal you instead of put a band-aid on your problems all while using food & natural supplements to make you feel your best ever, then Doctor Kozlowski is the guy for you.

I'm glad to hear that many patients have benefited from Dr. Koz but for me it didn't work out. I…read moreactually never got a chance to see Dr. Koz and instead saw a female assistant regarding a serious autoimmune blood condition at the time. I don't recall exactly anymore but she wasn't an MD but had some type of functional medicine training certificate. I spent a few hundred bucks with consultations, supplements, and a stool test that didn't lead anywhere or improve my condition. She was unsuccessful in identifying the root cause nor even knew about my condition. Dr. Koz was so busy I never even had the opportunity for a one on one to ask questions, etc. Overall it wasn't a good experience and I had to move on.

I appreciated all the great reviews of Dr. Boyd and after weeks and weeks of trying to find a…read moredoctor I think I can trust, they helped me decide she was the doctor for me. So I called for an appointment and was told she could see me on August 18 (today is July 2). I have prescriptions that have to be monitored and maintained, and I also have a very painful issues with my arm. I don't think either can wait for August 18. They are two separate appointments and they won't combine them: one is "to establish care" and the other is an illness visit. Once I see her as a "wellness visit" on August 18, I would be able to "get in quicker" to see her in the future. For now, if I'd like to be seen and monitored by "someone else" who has more availability in their schedule I could do that. Well, I've had a terrible experience with a doctor in Chicago that left me with ongoing medical issues that could have been prevented. So I did my research and selected someone I felt I could trust. I was so very lucky to have that in New Orleans (from where I just moved) and I just wanted that again. I don't really want to see "someone else" that I don't know anything about and waiting 6+ weeks to see a doctor I researched heavily. So while I can't really rate Dr. Boyd herself, this is a warning to those who are looking for a doctor: even though her site says she is accepting new patients, I don't think she really has time for them. Be sure you can wait six weeks before seeing her if you choose her. I get why she's busy -- she's good. But why advertise that you're accepting new patients when you really don't have time for someone who needs you?

Dr. Boyd is AMAZING. She's warm, but professional. She takes her time with her patients, and it's…read moreobvious that she cares very deeply for those in her care. Truth be told, I prefer younger, female, Family Docs (as opposed to Internal Medicine) - just as personal preference - but she's absolutely lovely. Kind. Attentive. Concerned. All the things you want in a GP. Oh - and one last thing: At my previous practice, there would be a HUGE wait - I mean, HOURS. (But heaven forbid you be more than 10 minutes late...they would cancel your appointment.) Not so with Dr. Boyd. I never feel rushed, either. She's genuinely a good MD. Seriously.

He truly takes the time to hear what his patients say and offers honest assessments. Recently, after a hospitalization, Dr. Glick personally called my husband to check in to see how he was progressing since being discharged. I feel we got pretty lucky. Dr. Glick is great. We've been seeing him since 2006. Dr. Glick is an excellent doctor with a better bedside manner. He has a good understanding of health and well being and is very honest. He's definitely looking out for my health. I, especially, appreciate his honesty. For example, my wife had an appointment with Dr. Glick. I just came along for the company. I was seeing a ear, nose and throat specialist. Ironically, I was not even his scheduled patient and Dr. Glick recommended getting a second opinion at Loyola. We took his advice and learned the procedures were not only unnecessary, but painful. I was ready to do it b/c I was so miserable and I wanted to trust my doctor. I didn't do the procedures and started doing a sinus rinse everyday and the problem is pretty much gone. He has a very nice office in Alexian Brothers. His staff is friendly and I've never had a problem.

I made an appointment to get pulmonary specialist clearance for barbaric surgery. I made the…read moreappointment weeks ago. It was the soonest they could get me in. 01/26/2017. My appointment was at 12:15. When I spoke to the person scheduling, I was asked if I had ever had a sleep study. I told them yes, about ten years ago, and I was told to get a copy of that and bring it with. A decision I now regret. Since I made the appointment I was sent an email to print out, fill out, and bring with me. Multiple pages of questions, repeats of the same questions, over and over. I was told over the phone to make sure this is completed and to bring this with me. I did. In the past week I have received many phone calls reminding me of my appointment. Every phone call was made sure to notify me that if I failed to Show up, I would have to pay a $55 cancellation fee. Yesterday, 01/26/2017 11:35 am. I am getting in my Jeep to head over for my appointment. Its only 10 minutes away. I wanted to be early. I received a phone call from the doctors office telling me that the doctor had called in sick and that I would need to come back on Tuesday 01/31/2017. I could still come in today and do the breathing test but the doctor could not see me today. I understand things happen, and people call in sick, but why wait until 11:30 am, 15 minutes before my appointment (you should always arrive 30 min. early to a doctors office) to tell me? Why not call me at 8 am? 9 am? 10 am? Feeling very frustrated I went in and had my breathing test done. The girl who did the test, the respiratory therapist was very nice and professional. A glimmer of sunshine on a dark experience. Her co-worker, another respiratory therapist was just as pleasant, professional and nice, and got me an appointment for 5:15 pm the same day. That meant no coming back next week. I could knock this one out an be on my way to my life altering, life saving surgery. Another glimmer of light. 5:15 pm. Dr. Hart enters the room. things start off ok. same questions I have been asked four times already, but I get it. He tells me my lungs are "excellent" and that I would be a good candidate for my bariatric surgery. BUT...........were going to need to send you home with this machine to see how you sleep. This is where it all goes down hill. He told me that I had a choice, either wait and go have a sleep study, or take home this machine and see what it reads tomorrow. "IF the test comes back clear, I will sign off your release for surgery." He said. But he never gave me a "If it doesnt come back clear..." answer. Just left me to wonder all night. He went into this diatribe about how sleep apnea is something he needs to look for now, and I questioned that with "well, if I lose weight, wont I sleep better ?" He wants me to take my Symbicort every day, for a week before surgery. I explained to him that I don't use it everyday. He wasn't hearing any of it. I explained to him that it opens up my lungs too much and actually causes me pain. He still wasn't hearing it and told me to do it anyways. Really? Then he proceeds to tell me "were going to schedule you for breathing treatments when you get closer to surgery as well " But my lungs are excellent ? I have gone under anesthesia for surgery twice in the last ten years and have never had to do any "breathing treatments ? Long story long, I felt like I was pressured into taking home this machine, I was upset about it all night. I didn't sleep very well and the little machine isn't comfortable. How is anyone supposed to sleep, much less get a decent reading from a device that is causing someone to not be comfortable? I know what this is about. quotas and profit. This Dr. Hart knows he is my last test before scheduling surgery, but I wont get that release (even though my lungs are "excellent") unless he can shove a PPAP machine next to my bed.... I will be asking for a different doctor today and I will be getting my test results and a second opinion if I don't get my release. I will keep you posted...
