Repeat custome, 2nd project for our home in Forest with Rock Solid. This project was just as…read moresuccessful as the last. We added two flag stone borders to our driveway. Added to our patio out back and had some water damage repaired. What a fabulous experience! Professional, tidy, courteous, and well skilled workmanship. The project was smooth, and delightful from beginning to end! We would HIGHLY recommend Rock Solid, and they will be our #1 choice for future projects for our home.

BOTH the screened-in porch and the pavers/patio/fire pit area were built by these men. From bid to completion, we could NOT ask for more. The quality of work is solid: something your grandfather would approve of. And the time spent on work?--Long days not hindered by rain, heat, or a short Friday's desire to be somewhere else. Roger, the owner, is a true man of integrity; his son, Josh, follows suit. We were allowed to have "add-ons" at very reasonable prices, and even make suggestions/ask questions along the way without getting on anyone's nerves (haha). If you want the job done right, want it done quickly, if you want your every expectation surpassed, hire Roger, Josh, Jerome, and John. I'm saddened only by the fact that these nice dudes aren't here to talk to (they'll make you laugh!). Bravo. I'm GLAD to answer any questions.

. Recently undertook a custom master bath and bedroom…read moreremodel. Solicited various quotes from three contractors and they were all over the board on price and weren't really forthright with my questions. Every time I said I wanted to do something the price went up even though I was only reinforcing what I wanted before they even quoted. Guess they didn't understand the word custom. We wanted Contractors ideas and the wow factor but even though they all said they had designers no such effort came forth in the quote. Since I had to pick everything out myself and did all the legwork i decided to "be my own Contractor sourcing my own materials and SubContractors. I searched far and wide for materials and saved myself $15k. Next I had to locate subcontractors to do the work. I found "Straight-line Painting and Tile" who did tiling, painting, schluter heated floor and curbless shower install and carpentry work. Plumbing was "Faith Plumbing", Shower Glass install was "Toler insulating", and electrical was "Wired Up Electrical". and the Ambrosia Maple hardwood was sourced from Danny Hylton in Goode. I even sourced the exact tub new on Craigs list (NC) for $1,000 saving from a local quote. This group worked extremely well together to complete the project and saved me $10-$15,000 in contractor project management which i could than apply to more upgrades. The whole key to pulling this off was having a sub like Straight line that could do a demolition, tile, carpentry, drywall, and finally paint, I like that you were willing to offer up options, pro and cons, and worked overtime to find a solution for the 2" slop on a steam shower ceiling and floor with two wall system. Your vast knowledge on so many topics really help me have confidence to project manage my own remodel. It's is so nice to have worked with a someone who loved their job and end product. I am lining up future project. Straight line tile is a Tile Installer Perfectionist". Toler glass shower installer said he has never seen such a level floor system. Within 1/16" which is unheard of. Straight-lines expertise was critical in helping me to schedule each of the subcontractors work to keep the project moving. I pretty much did all this work on a time and material basis knowing that errors would need to be corrected or that unexpected issues would need to be paid for. The other option would be hard quote with built in rework cost for unknowns that may not even happen. I would highly recommend any of these subs to handle your custom bath remodel. The master bath is equally as impressive but I didn't have "before" pictures to show and it included heated floor units. Just thought I would share as my experience was great with these guys and we ultimately got the WOW factor we were looking for. The bottom line is I used some of the $25k saving to get the latest and greatest custom features and these sub contractors are experienced on how to install the latest and greatest systems.

If you want your walls, that you will have to look at everyday, to be nice, DON'T hire this…read morecompany. The owner apparently "subbed" out the work to a guy that was NOT a painter. He was slow, lazy and a winier, who did more talking on phone than painting. He also jumped around so much he could not have possibly ensured total room was completed. One minute he's in one room painting, then the next in a total different room.. not finishing anything completely before moving onto next area. This, on the whole, was one of the most frustrating issues, phone & jumping around. We finally finished the rest of the house ourselves and fixed patches where he missed &/or sanded out the junk left behind on paint. It seemed he was using paint that had been frozen, set aside a lousy grade, as there was a lot of junk/clumps in buckets, which explains a lot. John, the owner, was only concerned about pay... he only came on job after we had a couple bad conversations and he wanted his partial. A good business would have stepped up and took over to ensure customers were happy with a nice job & timely, as promised. The sheet-rockers were just as horrible, which did effect painters job, but, he didn't even "try" to sand the snot off walls and just painted over them. We paid sub a few hundred bucks extra just for incentive and felt bad for him due to sheet rock, but didn't alleviate his complaining about his pay, which we had no control over since he was a sub. Finally he started sanding, but too late on most walls. We were told "most people don't even notice", What The....??? We also had a deadline, which owner knew, and after quite a few phone conversations, he finally fessed up, he knew this guy was slow. So, why on earth would he send him our way? We heard "After" hiring this company, his rep was NOT good, but too late! Just trying to save folks the anxiety we experienced and the work it took to fix walls & finish up before our move in. Owner priced the staining & to polyurethane pine ceiling also, which never happened & we took over that phase as well.
