Can I give zero stars? I recently purchased drywall for a full renovation project in my home. The drywall was delivered to my second floor through a window, but ended up causing damage to my ceiling on the first floor. The delivery was careless and fast. My contractor was present during the delivery while I worked in the office below. The product is heavy and as the individuals stacked it, it caused a lot of nail pops in my ceiling and the subfloor to loosen. All of this can be repaired but the worst part is the response I received from the owner, Donald Knight, when seeking a solution. He took absolutely no responsibility for the damage and preceeded to insult me throughout the conversation. The owner said that since the drywall boards are intact, it could never have caused the damage I described, meanwhile laughing at me on the phone, LAUGHING, as I described what I saw with my own eyes as it was happening. He suggested that my house isn't built to code and continued to mansplain to me how homes are built , as if a woman has no knowledge whatsoever about renovations. It was absolutely appalling. I have never been treated so unprofessionally and offensively by a company in my life. The mother company, Foundation Building Materials based in CA, seemingly has a wonderful mission and vision statement, ensuring integrity and care in all exchanges with customers. They have high expectations for their services and employees, but this is NOT what I experienced in the least. Get your supplies and service elsewhere. read more
