Knight's catered a buffet reception for 100 after my husband's funeral. They did an amazing job. I found them by asking a local chef, who has trained literally thousands of chefs and caterers in the Bay Area, to recommend a caterer. This is the one he preferred above all others. Maureen put everything in motion so quickly and professionally. Her staff is outstanding. I recommend with no reservations. read more

Knight's Catering is truly fantastic. 5 stars for food, 5 stars for presentation, 5 stars for customer service! First and foremost, the food tasted AMAZING. My husband and I love breakfast foods, and we wanted to serve brunch themed appetizers for our wedding. Knight's was able to create fun, yet sophisticated, cocktail appetizers for our guests- toasted waffle strips with a bourbon maple mousse & cayenne candied bacon, biscuit & gravy cups, and smoked salmon with cream cheese on toast. (SO. FREAKING. GOOD) We are still hearing wonderful reviews from our wedding guests regarding how exceptional the food was. They served it promptly (which is a big deal when you are feeding over a hundred people), and they were all friendly and professional! Being the Bride and the Groom, it is sometimes hard to find the time to eat, but Knight's made sure food (and drinks!) were provided to us throughout our busy schedule. Not only was the food great, but their communication prior to the big day was impeccable. Any question I had was answered promptly via email, and they made sure to keep in contact with me for several months prior to the wedding. (They also helped make suggestions regarding the the best linens to go with our theme/colors- which was a HUGE help, especially after browsing through hundreds). All in all, having Knight's cater our wedding was the BEST DECISION we made for our wedding. Thank you Knight's!!! read more

Maureen and the whole Knight's team were a delight to work with for our wedding at the SF Film Centre in August 2019. Between our coordinator, the venue manager and Maureen, I felt like my husband and I were working with a well-oiled machine. The whole team knew each other and had worked together many times before, which made us feel confident and secure with our big-day crew! And now the most important part of the review: The Food. It was phenomenal; we had great passed apps during our cocktail hour and Maureen worked with us to get our menu customized to what we wanted to serve for our sit-down dinner for 120+ guests. And most importantly, she kept us on budget, with enough room to spare for yummy late-night sliders and garlic fries. Our guests loved the food and multiple times I heard "this is the best dinner I've ever had at a wedding." One guest even told me she thought the caterer was reading her mind because every time she was hungry, more great food arrived! I can't recommend Knight's enough for any Bay Area wedding catering needs. read more

Working with Molly, Maureen, and the entire Knights Catering team was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. We originally began working with Molly for our wedding scheduled in mid-june and had to majorly pivot as a result of COVID-19. In the months leading up to our wedding, their team invested an incredible amount of time and thought into helping us create a special day that would be safe, beautiful, responsible, and as close to original vision as possible. This included a visit to our new venue (my parent's backyard), completely revamping a menu + layout, and transitioning all food presentation to individual but beautiful packaging. About a week before our wedding of 25 guests, it became clear that the addition of Knights 12+ person staff would put us over the Alameda County restrictions for outdoor gatherings. Molly and Maureen came to us with a well thought out plan and options for how they could safely contribute to our event. This meant coordinating all rental load in, setting up a bar + appetizers before guests arrived, and returning the following day to make sure everything was cleaned up. While they were not able to be there while guests were present, their desire to still provide as much as possible made it clear they were willing to go above and beyond. Above all else, Molly and Maureen made the process of planning a wedding (during a pandemic, no less!) as pain and stress free as possible. They handled all communication and delivery of rentals, sourced all packaging and food, and made every one of our special requests possible. When we asked for personalized individual cheeseboards, they made it happen! Tiny cocktails with stickers? Yes. The highlight of working with a team like Knights is that they remain calm and collected, taking on the details of an event so that you can enjoy it. I can not recommend their services enough. The value of delicious food, thoughtful communication, and dependability is PRICELESS when planning. They will make it easy. They will make it fun. They will make it happen! Thank you guys. read more

We are absolutely thrilled with the job Knight's Catering did at our wedding last month. They went far beyond our expectations in setting up our reception, and when we walked into the Forest Hill Clubhouse, the setting took our breath away. Maureen and her staff were friendly, professional and unbelievably helpful throughout. Whenever we needed anything at the reception, someone from Knight's would appear as if by magic to take care of it; we had several guests specifically comment on their helpful and friendly service. And the food... Well, the food was positively sublime. From the hors d'oeuvres to the entrees to the special hot chocolate bar, our guests raved (and are still raving) about how wonderful everything was. Elegant, beautifully presented and delicious, Knight's Catering exceeded anything we had imagined (and at a price far below many of the other caterers we tried). We can't recommend them highly enough. Thanks, Maureen! read more

Recently, we hired Knight's Catering to cater a memorial event for a celebrated member of the Scottish pipe band community. The task before us was enormous because the committee wanted to ensure that the memorial was better than anything our dear departed friend could have imagined and everything that his widow could hope for. We also had to honor the fact that the widow wanted to pay for everything so we needed to balance brilliance AND budget. Thanks to Maureen Kelly of Knights, we checked all the boxes and more. The food was perfect. Maureen gave us a ton of variety and elegance. Her staff is so kind and professional. They were everywhere we needed them to be keeping the many guests happy with drinks, coffee, and fresh trays of food. The absolute top reason why I would recommend Knights Catering hands down is their experience. I called them with a jumble of ideas and questions, and thanks to their know how, flexibility, creativity, and patience, we created the perfect event together. I was so grateful for all of Maureen's suggestions - we used every single idea she had for us. What can I say? This: You are in great hands when you hire Knights Catering. read more

Knights Catering was exceptional in every way. From start to finish they were an AWESOME partner to work with in the planning, preparation and execution of our April 2018 wedding at the Kohl Mansion in Burlingame, CA. We had several recommended catering vendors to choose from and after going to many tastings and catering meetings, it was such an easy decision to go forward with Knights. The food was incredible and the service was even better. Our guests (who, in fairness are a bit of a picky bunch) are still raving about how delicious their meals were. Knights will also work with you to make sure you're within the lines of your budget and vision. Having Crystal as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made. My wife and I can't recommend her highly enough. She's really easy to work with, exceptionally organized, and communicated openly/often with us about the dozens of decisions we had to make. Crystal went above and beyond throughout the whole process - making herself and her team available to bounce around menu ideas, vendor quotes (eg liquor), color and design choices etc. Knowing she was running point on the day left nothing to chance and as expected - our wedding went off without a single hitch! Thank you Knights and Crystal! read more

Here at a wedding and overheard the cook tell one of the employees that they had to get water from the bathroom sink instead of regular water when employee asked for water? And then watched them get a 10 minute break. Ridiculous. read more

This review is way too long overdue as our wedding was on July 22 so apologies to the fantastic team at Knight's! Maureen at Knight's Catering was referred to me by a coworker who is family friends and has been a client of theirs for decades. I am eternally grateful for the referral! As 2 semi-clueless grooms who have never planned anything of this scale we came into the process shy and a bit scared. Those fears though were quickly allayed when Maureen assigned us to event coordinator extraordinaire, Crystal Gomez. Crystal quickly took charge and from the first meeting she was fantastic to work with. We got quotes from 2 other vendors but we didn't even bother going to meet with them after meeting Crystal at Knight's office - we knew we wanted to work with her and Maureen to plan our big day. Among Crystal's many gifts, the one my husband and I most appreciated was her honesty. As most weddings go, we wanted to do as much as we could within our budget and from the get go, Crystal was upfront about the costs for everything - where we could save, where we should spend a little more and which vendors (lighting, rentals, draping, etc.) were worth the money. Majority of the cost for our wedding went into the food and service and I'm glad we decided to work with Knight's for two reasons. First, the only thing we needed to worry about was choosing what we wanted to serve. We left the rest in their capable hands and we were not disappointed. Of course, we stressed about decor and table seatings and family but worrying about Knight's was not on the list. Second, we have been to our fair share of weddings that have served typical "wedding food" - dried out steak, main course portions small enough to count as appetizers and veggie/cheese/meat platters that have sat outside for too long - but not so with Knight's. From the service, to the presentation, to finally sitting down and getting to dig into the food, we felt like two kings for a day. We still have family and friends raving about the food! Side note, the portions they serve are huge. To top it all off before we headed to the after party, Crystal pulled me aside and shoved a giant bag of leftovers in my hands and said, "Trust me. You'll need this later." I was sure she was wrong but when we got home at 3:00am all we wanted to eat was the leftover mushroom ravioli. We cannot thank the team enough for making our wedding a day we'll remember forever! read more

My wife hired Knight's catering for our wedding and they were fabulous! We had tasted at a few potentials and had a couple more scheduled after Knight's, but the moment we saw the effort they put into both taste and presentation during our test-run ended the search. The event itself went off without a hitch and received rave reviews for both quality of food and service. We worked with Maureen Kelly and I can't say enough about her attention to service. There were a few times in the evening where I definitely appeared (and was) lost, and it was apparent that Maureen's primary focus was on the groom and bride, as each time I was in lost mode, she quickly, quietly and calmly approached me and asked, simply, "how can I help you." She immediately made me feel comfortable, helped me if she could, or found the person I needed. She was truly amazing. As is often the case, neither my wife nor I got enough time to enjoy our full meals. Maureen had packed a beautiful picnic basket with fruit and cheeses, little sandwiches made from each of the meat selections we had ordered, slices of each of three types of cake we had, and included a bottle of champagne for us to enjoy when we had a breath at the hotel room. I cannot say enough about the entire experience we had with Knights Catering, Maureen and her entire staff. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again. Customer service is an art form and Knights has mastered it. read more

Having to plan a wedding and spend lots of money wasn't exactly our idea of "fun". However, once we found Knight's and specifically Crystal, we felt much more at ease. If you want to be able to trust that not only the food will be delicious but that the space will look beautiful and everything will be under control throughout your big day, I recommend going with Knight's. They are a full service caterer which means they handle rentals too - an added bonus when you don't want to be dealing with several different vendors and many moving pieces. That was a major plus for us. The servers were very professional and helpful - I only heard good things about them throughout and after the event. The only minor complaint I got was that the children's meal wasn't that great - but, oh well, certainly not a deal-breaker. I think Crystal was probably the biggest advantage in going with Knight's. She was very good with communicating via email for several months prior to our wedding answering every last question - when I think about all that goes into a wedding, I'm honestly surprised that she can keep all of the different events straight. I knew she was great before the wedding actually happened but it wasn't until the actual event was happening that I realized how amazing she was. She was handling issues that had popped up before we even knew about them. She really had things under control and it all went flawlessly. We really couldn't have been happier with our choice! read more

I worked with Knight's Catering to cater a buffet-style lunch for a corporate event of 130 people at the California Academy of Science and would highly recommend working with Molly! Throughout the entire process, she was incredibly responsive and really helpful in customizing a menu based on our team's dietary restrictions and budget. The team was super on-top of all logistics, including set-up and food prep/serving. People really loved the extra touches (warmed tortillas, fresh churros), and attendees noted that any time a tray became empty, the team was ready to replace it with a new one right away. The Knight's Catering team really made the entire experience super easy and I'd definitely work with them again. read more

Choosing the right caterer is an important decision in planning a wedding....and boy did we hit the jackpot with Knights. The food was so spot-on delicious that it was like eating at a 5 star restaurant. I can't tell you how many of our guests called us up after the wedding to rave about the food and compliment the caterer. We had a few vegans at the wedding and they spoke in the same superlatives as the fish and chicken eaters. Just as impressive as the food was the A+ service we received. We just loved Maureen! She handled every detail and adapted to every change with ease and extraordinary competence. Her aim to please and ensure that every detail was managed to perfection was a major contributor to the success of our wedding. She is an absolute pro and we couldn't have been happier. read more

I hired Knights for my May 2011 wedding reception. I contacted them in the Fall of 2010 to get some pricing estimates and sample menus. From the first call to the last, they (Kathryn, Maureen, Amanda and team) were on it. As a company they have great client customer service, quick responsiveness (especially via email) always made me and my reception feel special and a top priority. The tastings I had at their office were fabulous, and the level of quality, detail and care carried over to the reception. I've had many of my guests tell me how wonderful the food was at the reception. I've been to many wedding and special event receptions, and have never had the level of service I experienced using Knights. They were wonderful!!! read more

We hired Knight's catering for our company's party after enjoying their food at an event we attended several months back. First I have to say the food was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. But we all know food is really only 1/2 of catering. In addition to the great food the service was excellent. From the initial menu consultation to the arrival and set up of the event, Knights was prompt courteous and absolutely delivered! They were unbelievably helpful and since we first experienced them through someone else's event I would say this is a second solid 5 star experience. read more

I used Knight's catering for my wedding - they were fabulous, the food was beautifully-presented and the food was excellent! They were very helpful through all phases of the planning, Jessica did a tasting/wine paring, she worked with the bakery for our wedding cake and the staff that worked the event were very pleasant and professional; they had no issues taking the food to Pedro Point Firehouse (Pacifica) for our wedding, setting up and breaking down, everything was done lickety split. We had a few folks with food allergies, vegans and vegetarians, it was no big deal for Knight's to make a special meal, the vegan guests meals looked as beautiful as everyone else's did. read more

Knight's Catering provided top class service and delicious food for our daughter's wedding in July 2019 at the SF Film Center in San Francisco's Presidio. Maureen and her staff were exceptional throughout the process of planning the reception to the presentation of the meal. The appetizers were very tasty along with the salad and entrees. We received so many compliments on the quality and presentation of the food. Their attention to detail and the attentiveness of the staff were extraordinary. Knight's catered our wedding a week ago and I can't say enough good things about them. The food was delicious- people raved about the appetizers and were blown away by dinner. The tables were decorated beautifully. Crystal really took the time to learn what I was envisioning for the decor and made it happen. She also made the great suggestion of getting a special tablecloth for our sweetheart and cake tables, they were dreamy! Crystal met with us a number of times leading up to our wedding. She asked so many valuable questions that we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. She was available for by phone or email to answer my many questions in the months leading up to our wedding. Crystal also went above and beyond, organizing the vendor drop off and set up on the day of our wedding. We knew she was on top of everything so we could just focus on getting married instead of worrying about anything. Overall we are so pleased with how smoothly everything went, how much people enjoyed the food, and the atmosphere that Crystal and her team created. read more

Knights Catering is absolutely amazing! From taste to presentation to creativity, they did a fabulous job at our August wedding. Maureen and Crystal are true professionals and a pleasure to work with. They met with us multiple times, and helped with multiple planning aspects unrelated to the food. They not only got the job done incredibly well, they are the nicest people to work with too! I wish I could give them even more stars - I could not recommend them more highly. read more

Stop reading this...call Maureen and book Knights Catering for your wedding...it will be the best thing you did for your big day! Not only was Knights (Maureen, Kristen, the whole crew) incredibly professional, patient and accommodating; but when the wedding was done I felt disappointed to have no reason to call them on a weekly basis. Our wedding took place at The Green Room in SF. The venue is difficult to work with, in that there is no kitchen to prepare food. Not only did they work effortlessly around the venue challenges, but made our guests feel welcomed and served high-quality and (hot) food! I still get compliments on our signature drink tree and the risotto! Maureen had our entire day mapped out for us and really acted as a second planner for our wedding day. If this doesn't impress you, you should ask for a quote. Great service, food and the fairest prices in the Bay Area. Happy Bride, happy wife! Thanks Knights! read more

Because I never was the type to spend my whole life planning my wedding, the entire process was extremely overwhelming. I felt as if there was so much that I didn't know and trying to wrangle all of the various vendors together for the big day seemed a daunting task. However after my first meeting with Knight's, I felt calm and assured that my vision for the big day would be executed with precision. Throughout all of the planning, Knight's was the one vendor I never had to stress over and for that I am extremely grateful! I really don't know how to thank Crystal and Maureen enough for all their support and help with this process. I felt as if they did WAY MORE than what is typically required for a catering company and could not have been happier with the results. Between the picky eater (my husband), to the very opinionated (my father), and still ensuring that I had the wedding of my dreams, Crystal and Maureen handled it all with ease! I almost forgot to mention the fantastic food! My husband and I went with the buffet style dinner but with a served salad and an added carving station. The food was not only amazing, but everyone to this day comments how it was the best food they have ever eaten at a wedding! One of my friends even brought a full plate of food into the photo booth because he loved it so much! (I can't figure out how to post photos, otherwise I would!) I recently got married on 12/1/2013, and I had the best possible experience with Knights Catering. They were incredibly helpful, and definitely went above and beyond to make sure that leading up to the day everything would be ready. I had begun my journey with Knights with Kristen, but Jessica picked up where Kristen left off, FLAWLESSLY. Jessica was so wonderful to work with and so organized and on top of everything. She asked me things regarding organization that would have never crossed my mind and I am 100% sure our wedding would not have been as amazing without her and the rest of the Knights team. Jessica even went out of her way to rescue me from certain guests to whisk me away to get sunset pictures which I am SO GRATEFUL for!!! Our wedding was 2/22/14 and I am remiss I am only writing this now. At first, we thought a caterer simply figured out what kind of food you wanted, drinks and tablecloths and that was it. We were so mistaken. Jessica was a guiding light during a time that could have been chaos - instead it was bliss. Her calm and decisive demeanor assured us that all would be taken care of - and it was. The food was spectacular - the room looked stunning - everything went off without a hitch - MUCH of that due to the oversight and planning from Jessica. We feel very lucky Knight's Catering was recommended to us. They were a major part of making our wedding a perfect day and our guests all agreed. Jessica provided recommendations for flowers, beverages, lighting and some good old fashioned do's and dont's based on her extensive experience with weddings. We just recently used Knight's catering for my wedding at the Golden Gate club in San Francisco in February. We had a sit down dinner for 205 guests and Knight's did an incredible job. Our point person from Knight's was Jessica and she was AWESOME! Knight's was even able to help accommodate the fact that I am vegan and Jessica came up for great ideas for some vegan passed appetizers and for our late night treat for our guests, truffled popcorn. I am still thinking about the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce we served during the cocktail hour! I just went to a wedding this past weekend that used Knight's to cater their dinner. I admit that they did an awesome job of service and quality. I can't remember all of it but there was - purple potato cake with sour cream and caviar - seared salmon wrapped in bacon - very yummy clam chowder - caesar salad - chicken salad wrapped in deep-fried wonton skins - shrimp cocktail - lamb chops - baked macaroni and cheese The servers were quick to refill and the lines kept moving.
