We are a mobile 501c3 non-profit animal rescue and I am a veterinary professional that has been in the field for about 20 years now. We had a great experience with KVC today. We took in 2 sphynx in Oregon a few days ago and found that KVC was the closest clinic on our travel route that could see them. I called yesterday and they scheduled us in for today at 3pm. The place is certainly booming. I saw no less than 30 people come and go from the lobby in the hour I was there with the cats. Owners were bringing in everything from ACL tears to vaccination appointments to a possible Parvo puppy. Dental and spay surgeries were being discharged, as well. They staff made quick work of getting blood from both of our rescue girls, as well as getting their vaccinations done. The price was right, as well, 2 cats for FVRCP+rabies with an FeLV/FIV snap test. Came right to just shy of $200 for both. I'm glad we had a chance to have them seen in Idaho rather than NV or CA where the prices would likely have been double, if not more. While we will probably never need to use KVC again in the future since Mountain Home isn't on our typical travel route, if we were ever in town again with rescue pets, I'd absolutely have them seen again here. We can't thank KVC enough for getting the girls in for their first visit so we can start the process of finding them purrrfect future homes. www.baldandbully.org

Ol' Dan

We brought our dog to this vet and the entire staff was fantastic. You can really tell each person truly cares about you and your animal. When we made the decision to put our dog down, the tech and the vet were both so incredible. They were not only sensitive to our feelings but you could tell it broke their hearts as well. I am so thankful for these people. I could not have picked a better team to help us and our dog through those difficult times. Thank you so much.

Knight is good for general vaccinations or general small appointments. But I wouldn't recommend them to operate on your pet.

Over the course of a five month period, we took our two rescue pups in to be groomed three times…read more While the cuts were decent enough, the customer service and treatment of our dogs were lacking. After each visit, our dogs regressed for nearly a week...refusing to eat, as well as waking multiple times a night needing reassurance that we had not abandoned them. We chalked this behavior up at first to the results of separation anxiety. However, after the third visit, it became very apparently it was the facility and the way the dogs were treated and not simply separation anxiety. During the last visit, we had been given an early drop off time so they could get started on the dogs right away to hopefully eliminate some of the time they spent there. However, their stay ended up still being nearly four hours and our female dog was badly cut under her arm pit. Accidents happen, especially when dealing with an anxious dog. However, rather than owning up to the mistake and seeking proper veterinarian care (or even calling us when it occurred), they simply slathered the wound with superglue without properly cleaning the wound and area around it first. They said the cut was a result of bad matting. However, having brushed her thoroughly before dropping her off that morning, I know for a fact there was no matting present. The wound took over a month to heal and the skin was extremely irritated from the remnants of dried glue in her hair. Needless to say, we will NOT be taking our dogs back.

However my Yorkie came back with half of her hair on the right side is cut in half on the front and has a small strand. That is not a major problem because eventually it grows back. The second thing is she came back with a really really bad razor burn on her bumm and her private part. Poor thing can't even sit and licks the area. I called on Tuesday as her rash was getting worse. Left a message, but never got a return phone call. I called again on Wednesday and let them know what was going on. She didn't apologize. She didn't accommodate what I paid. She didn't offer any type of anything I told her that she'll probably have to go to the vet and that it wasn't fair that I had to pay for a bill for something they did. She never offered to pay half or to pay for it never offered a credit. Nothing customer service is not up to par and the empathy of the owner, Sunny, was very cold. She had no empathy. It was my first time there I will not go back again. I canceled my future appointment so please if you're thinking of trying this place. STOP!! do not book if she would've apologized. It would've been OK no problem, but her heart is as cold as ice.

Dropping her off at the previous groomers, she'd have those sad puppy-dog eyes and a somewhat panicked behavior as I was leaving her. Not like leaving a child at kindergarten, but more like she knew she was gonna get hurt. When I'd pick her up she acted like she was making a jailbreak. She probably would have drug me out of the place if she could. That is not a joke - she would have. Last time after being home awhile, I discovered dried blood in the fur of her ears. She'd been more and more fearful with every grooming drop-off and suddenly I had evidence of why. That was what prompted me to look for another spot and the good reviews convinced me to give Groomingtails a try and we are very pleased with their treatment of our pup and their work. Here's something amazing I have to add: I don't know why but ever since her grooming, when it is rainy and I bring the pup in and I give her a quick dry with a bath towel SHE SMELLS FRESH WITH THE SCENT SHE HAD FROM LAST GROOMING! I am floored. She is about to have her next grooming and that still works weeks after her last grooming. THAT, is lasting results! And her teeth were pure-white when they were done! Now she wants to drink her coffee through a straw,... oh, wait, that's my wife that does that! Anyway, yeah, it cost more but she's treated gently and the job is done well and I don't feel like I am handing her over to be tortured! I just hope their prices don't go up anytime soon! Peace of mind, Baby!
