I always enjoyed looking through thrift stores to see what kind of stuffs they sell, this place do…read moresell tons of the typical used books, clothing, videos/DVDs and much more furnitures than the Salvation Army thrift store on Fell which happens to be a few blocks away. The prices on some of the items I've seen were a mix between fair and competitive, and the few employees I've bumped into there seems fairly nice. But the few things about it that I didn't dislike of anything but felt I should mention was that this place felt like a combination between your average grandparent's place and a warehouse. Basically this place, while had some nice things in stock, but felt a little bit run down. That and the front door and the front part of this place might make a few people unsure if this is even a store at all. I guess don't judge a book by its cover and all because they did have a few nice things. So if you have what I like to call " the thrifty fever" like me, someone who likes thrift stores, then this location seems like a pretty decent place to check out.

With a staff fully comprised of dedicated volunteers, and a carefully curated inventory often donated by hospice recipients, there are definite treasures to be discovered here. The shop doesn't carry clothing (there's a HOB store just for that, a few miles away) but they do carry everything else. Kitchen items, decor, small furniture, craft items, books, and general bric-a-brac are waiting to be found here. They also have an impressive selection of antiques and vintage items, and I found their prices to be very reasonable although definitely higher than your typical thrift shop. I was also impressed that HOB Too is so used to serving their regular customers, they immediately recognized me as a new customer! One of the volunteers on duty that day even came over to say hi, introduce herself, and see what I thought of the shop. We ended up talking for several minutes. It was a really special experience for me, getting to learn more about the shop and their dedication to raising money for Hospice while serving the vintage/thrift community. This is truly a cool place and I will 100% be back!

And as usual, they still play favourites with customers for no real reason and won't admit to it.... ‍ Also, lost count on how often the employees (usually the assistant manager), clearly don't have as much experience with customer service. I've seen worse but some is still really lacking. PS. Make sure you keep your eyes on your items. Had someone took something right from under me when I was looking at something for not even a 5 second. After I realized it, I tried to confront the guy myself but walked away after I realized he won't admit his wrong doing and might gotten the police involved if I continued. When I brought it up to security, they admitted they won't do anything about it. Granted, their safety is a priority but what is the point of having a security guard when you had an issue that is borderline theft and nobody will help you in this regards? This is the kind of store you guys are supporting here, folks.... Employees that might not want to right a wrong or help you if hits the fan unless if you're butt is injured and is a clear liability.

She tried to prevent me from leaving so I very loudly told her so everyone in the store heard me no you do not get to search me, call the manager check the cameras if the manager says I took something ill call the cops, and they can search because they're not gonna find anything!
