Within the hour of my shopping time the store was very busy on top of a very hot day, this young man was steadfast, consistent, kind, outgoing, and generous. He is a beacon of light and I greatly appreciated the interaction and the energy that he brought to your store and to me on that day. Please do pass on my acknowledgement of him and my kind regards for a job well done during challenging times. "Travis thank you for Shining your light in this world and for making a positive difference".

Upstairs is clothing, with retro separated and lots of retro stuff. Excellent prices. The best part is it's a charity and an active part of the Parksville community, all the money goes to local outreach programs and they aren't associated with any church. If you have time to hunt and go through the extremely packed Pearl's, you will definitely come across a gem or two. Once, I got a pair of Nike running shorts in perfect condition for a fraction of the original price. Another time, I got some unused/new condition Starbucks double walled flasks for under $5, no jokes. Among the chaos, there is organization, but even then, be prepared to sift through the items. Enjoy this place whenever you're in Squamish, it's a great thrift shop that donates its proceeds to the Howe Sound Women's Shelter.

You hit up a thrift shop, hoping to find a decent CD or two...well, that's what we did anyway! The Attic is your typical small-town thrifty store. I gave 4 stars because the older lady gave good directions to other local thrift stores, I mean, giving sales to another potentially better store...but I think she just wanted to give good customer service. And she did! I also loved her "Fargo" accent! And yes, we did buy some souvenirs (and a couple of CD's) from her store as well... Worth a quick look...tell that older lady we said hi if you stop in!

Vancouver's vintage and consignment is already notoriously expensive and caters almost exclusively to a small dress size. Community, a Vintage and Consignment that is run by a non-profit Downtown Eastside housing and resource society not only engages with the neighbourhood it lives in, but also works to diversify its size range to engage with shoppers of many sizes. It hires women from the neighbourhood to work in the business and portions of the proceeds go back into the neighbourhood, which feels great while you shop! The space is small but well utilized and well decorated. Great jewelry by local designers is on display and the clothes have a very consistent and curated turnover rate. And the prices!! Compared to Vancouvers vintage scene, Community is absolutely the fairest price I've found yet. These days even Value Village is getting pricey so to go to a shop where the selection is so well picked out and find something affordable feels great. Again, I'm a plus size shopper who finds an amazing score here 90% of the time. Pieces from Community make up probably 50% of my wardrobe. See you there this weekend!
