Many places offer similar type lamps but are either clunky, unoriginal or will make your wallet over $1,000 lighter. We found the one we've looking for at BoConcept. It's a furniture franchise originated in Denmark. The store in Vancouver is on the 2nd level of the building shared by Inspirations on the ground level of the building. It was slight confusing on our first visit because they are 2 separate businesses which share a common centre in-store stairwell. Service was good. Since the only one available was a floor model, we were offered a reasonable 10% discount. A good alternative to sleeker and more stylish Scandinavian furniture in town than the mothership from Sweden.

The thing that makes BoConcept different from just anywhere else is the service that we get (from Paul) and we also like that everything just works together. The look is clean and refined and the quality is quite good as well. It's also nice to have an actual designer come to your house to help you see if things will work etc. They will even come during the installation to ensure that things are aligned correctly etc. I would definitely recommend them (and Paul) to friends, and I have.

Well made items on the higher end in price and finishing, these pieces will last. Unfortunately while downstairs an over the dining room table light that was basically a lit circle with a long skinny lit rod going through it was about to slip off and luckily my gf was there to help try to put it back but had a hell of a time balancing the darn thing! A very rude salesman came running over and raised his voice at her saying "why would you touch that?!" My poor gf tried in disbelief to explain what was happening but the man was so rude he didn't even apologize! We left in disbelief that an employee would react so unprofessionally! I believe that employees are just as important as the brand or company they represent and this was in no way reflective of the beautiful furnishings inside the store. This is why I'm giving them one star. An apology would have been nice.

So while walking 4th on our way for an afternoon at the beach this place jumped out an me; more specifically the SALE signs did. The outside isn't much to look at in fact under any other circumstances I wouldn't have given it another look. The place was definitely no frills but there was a great selection. The thing that really sold us was the customization. Pick the size, the fabric, the legs, how many pillows and so on and so forth. No one wants a cookie cutter home so this was a great refresher from any IKEA shopping trip. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly and was able to get us our sofa produced and delivered within 2 weeks. The only issues I had were his staff had no idea what was going on when I called, I was told they would call me back to confirm delivery and they never did and after confirming a time to pick up some special order legs they were no where to be found; unfortunately these happen to be a few of my pet peeves. Now granted I got a great deal on my Sofa, had it delivered (after a few phone calls) and got the legs (after he pulled them off the floor model) all at about a $500 savings. Im gonna say it was worth it. Deal with the owner and expect a few hick-ups but know that theres some doe in it for you.

This is a much belated review of this store from last summer. I had done a huge amount of searching…read morefor the right sofa and ended up here for the savings and custom options available. Did I save money? Yes. But would I recommend this store? No! This is a classic case of when saving money doesn't make up for the terrible customer service and bad experience I had. Like the other reviewer mentioned, there was mix up with delivery for my two items (sofa & table/chairs) and I had to keep calling to find out what was going on with the delivery. The sofa didn't come with the legs attached although they said it was fully assembled. When I called about it, the delivery guy yelled at me on the phone! He tried to convince me I said it was ok for him to not attach the legs. That makes no sense at all since I have no tools, so why would I turn him down? Of course, when I said that he exploded and yelled at me for calling him a liar. What an unpleasant and uncomfortable phone call! I asked the delivery guy to have the owner call me, but I didn't receive a call back. The final nail in the coffin was that the table arrived with a gash on the side which I didn't catch til later. It's my own fault for not inspecting carefully, but it really made for an even worse experience. I didn't bother calling the store again because I just didn't want to deal with them anymore. I'd recommend going elsewhere for furniture purchases!
