Took items to the front where the lady gave me and my daughter a long hard stare and told us (not very politely at all) to not bring our shopping cart in to the store next time. I replied that I was not aware that I couldn't bring it in, to which she sternly replied, " I didn't catch you". We won't be returning and I don't care to have someone imply that I had plans to fill my cart with, let's face it, overpriced, well worn, used items that should have cost a dollar max each. It was very uncomfortable and embarrassing for us.

The volunteer staff is friendly - if you're a polite and respectful shopper. I'd avoid the Saturdays where they sell the Window Items. People get pushy in the line, are rather creepy and kind of manipulative. I had to do it for a friend one day - never again LOL! Other than that - GREAT place to find excellent stuff.

The clothes are $$$, however, a lot of the clothes for the genre are well stitched and put together by some notable names in the fashion genre. I've had a pair of Trip NYC pants for 5 years with good wear. When you think about it it's better to spend a lot on something that will last rather than buying a few pairs of cheap pants. You end up really spending more for the cheap stuff in the long run than just investing in a piece right from the gate. If this is your primary style than I can see why this place would be expensive. I'm a working admin/book keeper, therefore, I only need a few pieces in this fashion line, therefore, investment is minimal. It does annoy me that some things are not tagged for pricing which is an indication that I will need to bring out the credit card. I find the staff very helpful.

Two shops insulted my taste when I asked for 3" random length boards. Ron found it for me! My budget covered the price quoted and install was not a long wait. Brian and Scott did a beautiful job! A…read morefull-time musician or not it didn't matter; I was in heaven, as they had the usual gear, but also rarities at least for this foreigner (American) like teardrop guitars and the like. The staff were friendly and inviting as we talked music; they even invited me to local jam sessions. A very nice gesture. I'd come here again.
