A very very nice thrift store with very good and cool staff and very very good customer service and very strict COVID-19 safety policies. My only complaint is not enough selection in clothing but otherwise it is all good. read more

Some staff members need to be more active on the floor instead of standing together at the cash area gossiping. It's noticeable when customers are waiting or when the floor needs attention, but certain employees stay clustered at the till instead of helping with tasks or customer service. The store would benefit from more consistent engagement and professionalism from the team. read more

Not sure what is happening, but most of the temporary (?) floor staff don't make eye contact, move slowly and belligerently, don't speak English and are completely unhelpful while gathered in groups chatting/whispering amongst themselves in some other dialect. *The 'steady' local staff are working hard and usually converse with customers, smile, and get their jobs done. People working on the floor - should be approachable, clean, efficient & speak the language of the country they are fortunate to be living in. ( I don't care what colour your skin is, so don't go there. It's rude even if you were speaking a Germanic language with blonde hair and blue eyes.) No change rooms & self serve. BAD call. There is so much theft going on right before your eyes at the self serve - so the end of the change room is NOT because of this. Bring Cash and you'll never wait in the long lines! :)) Prices are getting WAY too high. You can find brand new, good quality, brand name clothes now for the same price - as some of the items on the shelves and hangers here. Makes being environmental more costly and a real chore now. But that was never the goal of this store any way. Kinda done with this place. read more

You can usually count on value village to be clean and organized and have nice clothes, but if your looking for good deal this is not the place for you. Clothes sell barely below retail value regardless of condition and home items are, believe it or not, even worse. Today on my recent trip I found a half burned Ikea SINNLIG vanilla candle for sale for 4.99. the normal retail price for a brand new one is 3.99. I also found the empty glass container of a OUI yogurt by Yoplait for sale for 2.99, the container WITH yogurt retails for 1.00 at grocery stores. Despite all this, this not a terrible place to shop around there is lots of nice stuff, but like I said, don't expect any steals. TLDR: clean, nice clothes and home goods, everything is criminally overpriced. read more

This store has changed quite a lot since my last visit over a year ago. Prices are way higher and the only check outs I could find were self serve. Why should I do the store's work for them and take jobs away from people? The change/fitting rooms are gone, so if the clothes you select don't fit, you have to return them within 14 days for exchange only. No refunds. I bought 2 pairs of jeans, one of which cost me $20.00. Neither pair fit so I returned them. The same day I found a brand new pair (that fit perfectly) at Costco for $19.00. I will not be going to this store again. read more

Nice store that is fairly clean and well organized. Friendly helpful staff, the prices are a bit high but bargains can still be found.

Excellent value village!! Lots of dresses and vintage stuff $8-14 range and nice children's clothing. Personally like the jewellery section grabbed lots of cool shell necklaces here . read more

Sometimes you can find something really good, but you have to make sure you are wearing your glasses. Some stuff is torn, not just gently worn. One coat had some orange stuff on it, but with some water it came off. They appear to be pricing their donations 'for a profit margin' which makes sense since it is a for profit store. Some of the staff are friendly, but the ones who aren't really seem to want to make you feel inferior to them, by walking away from the til when you are trying to ask them something, or putting a closed sign on the til as you are walking up to it. Sometimes a person will comment that you can't just walk out with that, so the shopping experience can be pretty demeaning especially if you are wearing what you bought there, cause you might look like a super poor person or maybe even homeless. They go on about giving money to charities, but the store itself isn't a charity and you needed to be guarded so you don't respond to the negativity. When they have sales, the prices are more reasonable, but the atmosphere gets worse, at times. There isn't a lot of privacy and dignity when you shop there unless you look more middle class, which may include not wearing what you bought there. You need to be really on your guard when you are in there. Some of the employees are super helpful, but some refuse to speak and ignore that you have spoken to you, then when you ask again, another one will talk to the first one, still ignoring you, sort of like the mean girls in high school type. read more
