He came and gave a bid. HE WAS NOT the cheapest but seemed as if he would be able to do what was needed in a timely manner. He came to give us the bid right away... during a time that many would not even return a phone call. We wanted the trees cut down and the wood removed, completely. Also removal of the stumps . This he did do, and the stump work was very good. Better than most I have seen from others. (Our neighbors were left with roots in their yard from the people who did their trees this summer) All in all we are very, very pleased. There was only one small hiccup in part of the wood being removed. But this was not Ken's fault. Another tree service had wanted of the large trunk pieces and I could not get that company to come and get them. Ken also tried, but to no avail as this other company must be very busy as well.... so Ken did come and cut them into smaller pieces and take them away. We could not be more pleased with the end result... And will recommend him highly.

Several days later, they emailed me to say that a rain garden could be a viable solution if utilities are not in the area, if the slope is regraded, and if the subsoil has a reasonable percolation rate. I appreciated that, unlike some of their competitors, they wanted to ensure that a rain garden would actually work in my yard. I requested that PA One Call mark my utilities. In March, Bob visited my property for a free consultation. He talked with me for several minutes about the source of the water, and then he did measurements. He said that he might want to install a stone wall on my front hill, fill it with soil and plants, and have an overflow for extreme rainfall. I thought that his ideas made good sense.
