Knocked my trees down in no time would recommend again to the next person. The neighbors can feel safe now!

I will say for positives they did show up promptly to the agreed time. That's about it. The request was for them to prune two trees on my property. Based on the quote I received it looked like they would do both sides of the trees and get it pretty far from the house. The crew however did not deliver they barely trimmed the tree away from the house. Any branches that fell to the ground they picked up but they left debris on my roof with no intention of cleaning it up. Upon complaint of the half worked job they did reduce the cost but told my I would still have to pay full price if I wanted them to come fix the job they did not do right the first time. The initial quote was expensive and they did come down a decent amount upon complaint but it's a hassle I would rather not have to engage in with a contractor. read more

They show up when they say, do excellent work, and clean up well. I have used them twice now for large trees and some small ones. They also do a great job at stump grinding too. Nice people and I could not recommend than any higher. read more

They did a great job taking down a huge tree that was six inches from my garage. They also cleaned up and stayed late to make sure it was spotless. The only thing was the yard was messed up a little more than expected but I was completely happy with the service. read more

Took down two massive maple trees in my back yard that have been there forever. Price is reasonable and no wait. You would not believe how big these trees where. One I think was close to three times higher than my house at least. read more

Sideline was recommended to us by friends. They removed a tree in my sons yard and our yard. They did a great job with removal , grinding the stumps and even took care of some roots that grew into neighbors yard. I ve used this company several times in the past, but they dropped the ball this time. Although they removed the tree they were hired to do, they left a lot of debri on the ground as well as a sizable limb. Our neighbors used them based on our referral and had a similar experience. Other neighbors stated that they threw debri over a fence and into their yard. I contacted the company with 3 separate emails addressing these issues and there has been not response. I had gone out and discussed these issues with the workers before they left, but it seems as though there may had been a language barrier.... On 8-3-2017 Sidelines cut down a tree for me. The people cutting down the tree were supposed to let me check the work and then call in, but they never did this. I went outside after I noticed that they had left to see that my sidewalk was shattered. I immediately called the office (412-735-4063), and was asked to send pictures (which I did). I was then told that they would take care of it and that an insurance estimator would be out the next day. The next day I texted to ask if the estimator had come out, but didn't get a reply (Friday). On Monday (8-7-2017) I called and left another message and got no response. On Tuesday (8-8-2017) I texted again and asked that they please answer my calls and texts. I was told that the estimator had stopped to assess the damage over the weekend, and that they would be getting back to me by the end of the day with a resolution. I have called and texted several times since then, but have gotten no answer. It has now been 15 days, and I have to assume that they basically lied about fixing anything and they are blowing me off. Beware. Update: I ended up filing a BBB complaint (8-19-2017) and they fixed the issue almost immediately (8-23-2017). Updating from 1 to 2 stars. read more

I love the professional job this company provided for me. Initially I had an inferior tree service come to remove 4 smaller size trees from my yard. Verbally telling me they would bring the trees down to ground level,so I wouldn't need to stump grind, I paid and went to work. I got home to a huge mess. Stump on 1 tree was 4 ft high, debris everywhere. After much debate they declined to take care of my complaints. I called Sidelines told them about my problem. They came , gave me a great quote , showed up, and my tree stumps are all gone. From the initial phone call, I knew this was a huge difference from the first "tree co". Our borough cited us for a tree hanging over the road, and gave us a week to remove it. Sidelines was the only company that responded, offering to cut down the tree and haul it away within four days. They arrived with three vehicles; and despite terrible weather, completed the job quickly, even cleaning up afterward. Very highly recommended! read more

Good estimator. Three young men showed up to do the work. Fairly disorganized. I was watching when they dropped a big limb right over the electrical wires running from the house to roadside pole. They could hardly have missed as the limb landed crosswise. The lead guy said he was real surprised the wires came down because he's dropped lots of limbs on wires and they just bounced off. (That's word for word.) He wanted me to wait for their man to come out and assess what to do. I told him at that point I wanted an outside opinion, and called Dusquesne Light who sent someone out immediately who had things back up and very secure, no charge, before Sidelines guy even showed up. Now get this: the Sidelines guy was peeved at me for having called Dusquesne! I told him that having watched his crew work I wasn't eager to just trust Sidelines to make it right. In my experience, this is a problem with tree services: the company may be solid but they can and sometimes do send out an inexperienced, erratic crew leader--who knows what you will get? read more

Read the 1 star reviews and ask yourself if it's worth taking the chance on these hacks. if they do the job you're fine. If they do what they did to me and others, your screwed. 1. Arrived 3 1/2 hours late 2. We supposed to cut hedges down to 1 foot. Cut them to the ground!!!! 3. Left yard an absolute mess. Left debris on the other side of the house where they have NO BUSINESS BEING. 4. Customer service was a joke. They say they "pride themselves on customer service". They clearly have no pride. Not even Dante could've imagined the level of hell calling this company results in. I was told to not be "sassy" when I called to find out what the hell was going on. Seriously???? 5. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. They should be ashamed of the work they did. Estimate to replace the hedges they killed from a responsible company is 1685.00. Numerous trees had to be cut from my yard and Sidelines came in at a good price. The trees were cut, but when the second team came a few days later to grind the stumps they pointed out many things their colleagues could have done better when they cut the trees. I called and asked that someone come to fix these few issues next time they were in the neighborhood (I see them fairly often in the region). After a couple of months, I called again and was assured that someone would come out. No one came. I then called two more times and was told it would be taken care of, but no one ever came out or even followed up. And so four phone calls, four times being told it would be taken care of and zero results. I have given up. I even called them today to kindly explain that I would be leaving a negative review for them and the reasons why. I do not give a negative review lightly. Instead of asking what can they could do to fix the situation, they simply said, "I'm sorry." If they would have said they would fix the small remaining issues, I would be satisfied. "I'm sorry" just doesn't cut it. While they are competitive with their pricing, there is a reason as the job is not done 100%. (Again, these remaining things that should have been done were told to me by their own employee.) If you want professionals who do professional work and provide professional customer service, go somewhere else. read more

I strongly urge you not to hire this company. They did tree removal and pruning project on my property, and broke a large branch of a mature rhododendron because one of the trees they cut fell on it. And, to make it worse, they tried to cover it up by cutting off the rhody branch and not telling me about it; instead, I came home from work and noticed that a large limb was chainsawed off of the rhody. Very unprofessional and unreliable. Scheduled a delivery for a cord of wood last week for Monday and never showed or called. My husband called them later on that day and they said they thought it was for tomorrow. I rechecked the email and it stated Monday. Anyways, Mark assured my husband that he would deliver first thing the next morning and said he would have it there before 9 since my husband had an appointment that he needed to be at 10. Again, never showed and never bothered to call. I sent an email and stated that I guess that they did not need the business since they did this 2 days in a row now and to just cancel my order. Never got a reply nor did I expect one after how they dealt with me. Shame because it was local and I order wood every year. Could have been a customer for life. Needless to say, would not be from here. I will give my business elsewhere and will pay more for reliable and honest people who want my business. Terrible company! Ignored repeated phone calls and correspondence asking for them to finish the work we agreed on, then had the nerve to send a bill for the full amount. Trimmed a decorative shrub that wasn't supposed to be trimmed and will take probably 3 years to regain it's proper shape. Extremely unprofessional. Untrained workers. Stay away!! read more
