Axeman gave us an estimate over the phone based off of pictures. Once we decided to go with them, they got it taken care of right away. Everyone that we interacted with was pleasant and professional. They were incredibly hard working. The stump was located on a pretty steep hill and the team never complained, but just got it done. We were shocked at their speed and their efficiency. It didn't even take them 2 hours. They even cleaned up the mess that comes with grinding out a stump. We couldn't be happier with our experience and would recommend them to anybody!

Based on the quote I received it looked like they would do both sides of the trees and get it pretty far from the house. The crew however did not deliver they barely trimmed the tree away from the house. Any branches that fell to the ground they picked up but they left debris on my roof with no intention of cleaning it up. Upon complaint of the half worked job they did reduce the cost but told my I would still have to pay full price if I wanted them to come fix the job they did not do right the first time. The initial quote was expensive and they did come down a decent amount upon complaint but it's a hassle I would rather not have to engage in with a contractor.

They gave us a fair bid for the job and then completed it on schedule. They needed to go onto our neighbors' property to get the job done safely, and they did an excellent job communicating with the neighbors. They came back several weeks later to grind out the stumps. Another tree service said they couldn't get their stump grinder down our narrow driveway to the backyard. But Carl's had no problem, and they left the yard in great shape with the giant stumps all gone. They had to take down the fence and put it back up again, and they took care with that, leaving the fence in great shape.

When the owner came to our house he said it wouldn't be a problem to cut and stack the wood in our woodpile. When the workers came, they asked me what trees they were taking down and where I wanted the wood. They said it wouldn't be a problem to cut it and put it with our woodpile. I have the workers chips, salsa, and water. I stayed at home for a few hours to make sure they didn't need anything and then left. When I came home, I had 3 crumbled empty water bottles in my yard, no new wood in my woodpile, and MASSIVE pieces of wood left in the middle of my yard. I called, expecting the workers to come back another day bc they didn't have time to finish and I was told "where the wood lays it stays." That was never stated. No tree company leaves huge wood pieces in the middle of a yard. After a few texts, they agreed to send the workers out next week to cut the wood to 24"- which they did. We will stack and cut (smaller) all of the wood they left. I wouldn't tell anyone to use this landscaping service unless they were in an emergency. I'm shocked workers would litter in my yard and do a lazy job hoping they would get away with it. Company needs higher standards. Use a different tree service
