There is limited street parking which can be a bit of a challenge but the setting is so lovely that it is worth it. Admission to the market place is free. It was advertised as having 52 vendors and I would guess there wasn't even half of that. The vendors that were there sold sunglasses, clothing, second hand items, home services like gutters, and jewelry. My favorite vendor was Carolyn who sold second hand jewelry on the porch of the New River Inn. I loved poking through her treasures. She got all my money and I left with an opal ring, silver chain, and two pendants. Bring cash with you because some vendors like Carolyn do not accept cards. The event was advertised as having food and the only vendor I saw was Taco Baja selling tacos. There are a ton of restaurants in the area if the on site food is not to your liking. The museum is open during the market and adults can tour for $15. The New River Inn was built in 1905 and was one of Ft. Lauderdale's earliest hotels. History Ft. Lauderdale operates several historic buildings in this one area. The New River is very picturesque and it is a great place to take a stroll even if there is nothing going on. I enjoyed my market visit. These types of outdoor markets are very popular now and I think the great location has the potential to make this market a major event, especially if they add some more food and merchandise vendors.

I'm a huge fan of supporting small business and even more a business that supports the community. Especially after having my conversation with the owner Robby who is an extremely humble man. I've explored numerous metaphysical stores in South Florida, and it just so happened that I realized I haven't visited Make Incense in years. Tried doing a search on Google Maps and realized there was no listing - so I took a trip today and confirmed Make Incense is still operational. This shop is located inside Swap Shop Flea Market and the Booth number is V-29! Make incense carries a wide selection of incense, resins, bundled sage, incense holders/burners, camphor cube, water fountains, diffusers, fragrance oils, tapestry, statues, evil eye accessories and more. I've made sure to include photos below to show the variety of items Robby & Virginie of Make Incense carries. Make Incense carries a wide selection of one of my favorite incense brand Satya at a great price of 3/$5 and that's a steal. It's been that pricing since the business was opened in 1999 (which I learnt during today's visit). If you are in the area or visiting and looking for a great place to grab a variety of incense visit "Make Incense". You will not be disappointed.

They were happy to take my request and were incredibly kind throughout the entire process. The texture and flavor of the bread was impeccably fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with blueberries perfectly balanced so that it wasn't overly sweet but still had that delicious fruity taste in each bite. I would absolutely recommend this farm to anyone looking for locally made sourdough. It's safe to say I LOVE blueberry sourdough bread and I'll definitely be coming back for more! ^^ (I forgot to take a picture and tore down on it after I got home since I hadn't eaten breakfast yet so the 1st picture is from the owner before I got my hands on it lol)

We bought the VIP experience, thinking there will be lots of variety to sample. Turns out, they had the saddest shrimp cocktail I've ever seen, a pernil, and a seafood paella that lacked all the flavors. Didn't even bother to take a pic of it. The vendors, as depicted in my photos, brought it. We had crab cakes, stone crab, seafood broil, sautéd shrimp & veggies and lobster rolls. Everything from the vendors were delicious! The lesson is, do not get the VIP when coming to this. Trust the vendors. They deliver with great prices.

First of all, the owners, Tim and Tracy, are so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They welcome all with open arms, will find you the perfect wine for your tastes, and just generally have awesome customer service. Next, the WINE! What a great selection of natural wine. So much variety! Unique styles, unique countries. If you're an expert, pick for yourself. We prefer telling Tim what we're looking for and letting him choose the perfect match. Finally, the ambiance. Hip and modern, but still comfortable. We've been a few times during slow hours, and their sweet dog will be curled up on the mid century modern couch. Besides wine, there are other wine related goodies for sale. It's worth it to note, as of 2024 they no longer sell wine by the glass or food, and have gone back to being more of just a shop. But you can go in and do a tasting of the 4 wines of the week. Other great options are their weekly tastings with experts to teach you about the wines, and the monthly food pairing event!
