The prices here are better than other architectural salvages place we have visited, they are actually affordable. It's nothing fancy, wear your coat in the winter as it's chilly inside since it's just an open building with no heat. You can find old doors, trim, wood pieces, door handles and more here. They even had a completely intact old staircase and fireplace available when we went to visit. If you are restoring an older home, or want authentic reclaimed wood, it is your place to go. We did ask - they do not buy supplies from individuals wanting to sell.

I purchased hundreds of windows in that time span along with roofing, gutters, and siding. Service, quality, and price has always been excellent. I noticed the other review of this business and after carefully looking at the pictures it appears the window was probably damaged by the same action. Probably trying to open, latch, or tilt the window without knowing how to properly operate it. As a contractor of many decades who grew up with a dad who also was a home builder we always made sure to take the time to educate the buyer on the operation of products like windows. If the homeowner wasn't properly educated by their contractor, or the contractor simply wasn't experienced enough to be able to explain the proper operation I can see where this could happen to any window. As a matter of fact the "contractor" mentions the windows didn't latch properly and they watched them completely fall out of the frame.. Who doesn't check to make sure the window isn't fully latched before walking away from them? That is like leaving the front door ajar and expecting the wind to not blow the door open.. Gravity and wind are a guarantee in this life. A contractor should know that. No product is perfect or works properly every time but we currently have Polaris windows in our own home and they are excellent. The sash latches would stick open and when the window sash was raised, it would fall forward and rip right out of the frame! This happened to 2 windows!. I contacted Modern Builder Supply, who owns Polaris Windows, and they offered me "parts" to repair 2 windows that failed and were beyond repair! They didnt even bother to look at the photos I emailed them that clearly showed these windows were not repairable as the cheap, thin, plastic vinyl frames were busted. So, I sued them and won my case! In the meantime, I go back to purchase a replacement window (only because I want all the windows to match) and my customer's home has a big hole in the side of it covered with plywood (a 7 month ordeal) and they refuse to sell to me a replacement window because I did the right thing and sued them! STAY AWAY!!!! Pathetic product and even worse customer service!!!!!! Not only is their product JUNK, their treatment of their customer's is obviously just as bad. To this day they refuse to make this right! Matter of fact, once their Sales Manager, Bob Dale, got wind of my BBB report, he called me out of the blue and wanted me to call him ro discuss my review. So, I emailed him so that our conversation would be documented. He ignored my email, never replied, and went silent! So, if you have a problem with these people, you're screwed!
