WARNING: DO NOT TRUST 911 RESTORATION OF BAKERSFIELD…read more Read this before hiring them. I am writing this review to warn others about my extremely troubling experience with 911 Restoration of Bakersfield. If you're considering using them--especially through your insurance--please think twice. I hired them (through a referral from Farmers Insurance) after a water-related incident at my home in December 2024. What followed was a complete nightmare of negligence, poor communication, property damage, and what I believe to be highly unethical behavior. Negligent Work Caused More Damage: Their team failed to properly cap a hot water line under my dishwasher during remediation, which led to additional, serious water damage throughout my kitchen. Rather than own up to their mistake, the company--through a rep named Denia--denied responsibility and tried to shift blame to another contractor. Encouraged Me to Mislead My Insurance Company: Denia directly instructed me to have a plumber falsify a service date and label the work as "leak detection" so I could open a second insurance claim. She also claimed to have spoken with Farmers Insurance and said the second claim would be approved. I refused to follow through with this dishonest plan, but I did file the second claim based on her suggestion--which caused even more confusion and stress. Mishandled My Property: They damaged a $400 baby stroller during storage and failed to return a small but valuable cabinet item ($50). Denia never gave me a full inventory of my packed belongings and avoided accountability for the missing and damaged items. No Accountability, No Resolution: To this day, they have not taken any steps to fix the damage they caused, reimburse the lost or broken items, or even provide an honest explanation. Their rep continually dodged responsibility and refused to communicate transparently. My Advice: RUN. Between their shoddy work, misleading guidance, and unprofessional behavior, this company has caused me more stress and financial loss than the original water leak ever did. Save yourself the time, money, and heartbreak. Avoid 911 Restoration of Bakersfield at all costs.

Our project was delayed more times than I can count, their pricing is wildly inconsistent with the area, their approach is manipulative, and the number of mistakes they made would almost be impressive if it wasn't so frustrating. If you're a fan of inflated costs, constant blame-shifting, and a team that treats customer service as optional, this is the company for you. Otherwise, save yourself the stress and steer clear.

I always research many companies before settling but JW Home Care's reviews speak for themselves so I knew I would be in good hands! Making my appointment was extremely easy and they definitely work with whats best for the client. With all the rain that has been going on, I started noticing some leaks near my attic which happens to be in my bedrooms closet! I started to notice that my carpet was getting more damp, and with the fear of molding I gave them a call. Jonathan carefully inspected the situation. He completely dried out my whole closet, and luckily we caught it before mold but he did explain that they would cut it out and they would use a anti mold spray that protects my home up to 6 months, and have hepa filters to filter the air for mold particles. (I definitely learned a few things) Which was very important for me because my main concern were my animals. I didn't feel the need to go through my insurance so Jonathan let me pay out of pocket. Hassle free. I cannot recommend this company more! Not only was the issue fixed, my wallet was happy as well! Will definitely use again if I ever have water damage, mold, or smoke damage. They literally do it all.

They responded, showed up, and provided a quote. However, the experience changed once I started asking questions about the one-year service agreement and billing. Before signing any contract, especially one that locks me into service for a full year, I believe it is reasonable to ask clear questions about the billing cycle, payment dates, and whether anything would be prorated. I asked a simple question: if I signed and paid on 5/11, would my billing cycle start from that date, or would I still be billed on their regular cycle and lose part of the service period? I was not asking to avoid payment or get a discount. I simply wanted to understand what I was agreeing to before signing. Unfortunately, Rachel in billing did not seem clear on the answer, even though I had already discussed some of the details with Dan. That made me uncomfortable because billing and contract terms should be clearly understood by the company before asking a customer to commit for a full year. Instead of calmly answering the question, the tone changed and it felt like they became frustrated that I was asking about the contract at all. As a landlord who does not live in the Bakersfield area, I have to be extra careful about who I hire to service my property. I need to make sure the property is being properly maintained, the billing is clear, and the agreement is fair before I sign anything. Asking questions about a contract should not create tension or attitude from a company. I was genuinely interested in starting service, but this experience made me feel uncomfortable and hesitant. A customer should be able to ask basic contract and billing questions without feeling like they are being a problem. To me, that is not good business, especially when the customer is being asked to commit to a one-year agreement.
