This morning I call to make an appointment because my child had a fever from yesterday and this morning, they said they didn't have anything until Monday and if I think she really needed to go to take her to an urgent care.I'm not going to an urgent care that bill would be high. So I switched her back to her old pediatrician which I never had any complaints or any problems with. And then im have been going back in fourth with them about getting her shot records because they need to take time to print them basically and that they do them in the order that they asked for. Any other pediatrician I asked for her shot records. They just predator them out while I was there. (The only reason we when to hummingbird was because of insurance. I'm so glad her old pediatrician takes my work insurance)

I had a scheduled appointment for my son at 9:15 AM. I called ahead of time when I realized I would be late in order to reschedule. During that call, the representative informed me that because my son was sick, they would not allow him to come into the office. Instead, I was told that they would schedule an e-visit (virtual visit) for later that same day at 4:15 PM. I agreed to this arrangement based on the information provided. Later, when I logged into the MyChart system for the scheduled appointment, I noticed that it was listed as an office visit rather than an e-visit. I called the office to clarify, and the representative I spoke with told me that I must have "misheard" and insisted that no one would have told me it was an e-visit. I was then transferred to the office manager, Sharon, who also stated that I must have misheard and that no employee would have given me that information. I explained clearly what I had been told earlier, but she continued to dismiss my concerns. When I requested the name of the representative who originally assisted me so I could better understand the situation, Sharon refused to provide that information. The conversation escalated due to the lack of assistance and accountability. Sharon further stated that if I filed a complaint, it would "just come back to her," which gave me the impression that there is no proper oversight or accountability process within the office.

They did take my son's vitals but was misdiagnosed with the flu. They did swab him there and the result was positive? And was told he had the flu the DR tried to prescribe Theraflu and cough medicine although my son had zero! no symptoms of flu, not even congestion or cough. Then he tried to say maybe my son was having anxiety. Which we have never dealt with. My son ended up just having a stomach bug. The reason I took him was because he felt lethargic and had vomited at school. The next day I took him to pediatriciAN, he was already fine and was also tested for flu and he was negative! He did not take any of the prescribed medicines prescribed by Pandas.

Then, my labs showed one slightly elevated liver enzyme, which Dr Avalos incorrectly diagnosed as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. I fed my numbers into an AI bot and the bot had the intelligence to ask if I'd had a hard workout recently. In fact I did, and I'm guessing the AI bot was more correct. More galling, I asked Dr Avalos what to do about the NAFLD. She basically said "IDK LOL," and if that wasn't bad enough the app let me know the response was generated by AI. She couldn't care less... Next, I asked to go on zepbound. Dr Avalos prescribed it for me (BMI above 30), but told me it would only be for a month while my BMI was above 30. I showed her the data from Eli Lilly showing that this is supposed to be a long term / maintenance drug, and if I go off in a month obviously I'm going to regain the weight. I showed her clinical data that confirms I should stay on through lower BMIs. I showed her insurance data that said I should stay qualified as long as I qualified at the beginning of treatment. Again her response was basically "IDK LOL!" Cannot recommend avoiding this place at all costs if this is the type of person they have giving medical advice.

The night was really busy but I was constantly checked on, offered snacks and beverages and amazing care. Dr. Dean Moore was amazing and I can't remember the African-American nurse practitioners name but she was so gentle and informative!
