They are a very busy group as they support multiple doctors and therapists, but they are always friendly and responsive. However, her affect is somewhat deflated. She doesn't seem very interested in what I report and I feel like she usually makes small tweaks to my medication that haven't really helped. I once sent a somewhat important email to her office staff and asked they pass it along. I never received a response via email. Also, it seems a bit annoying that I have to re-sign consent forms every year, but perhaps there's a law on that I'm not familiar with. I believe since COVID, she only does zoom or phone appointments, rather than in person. I recently saw another psychiatrist that ordered gene sight testing to determine if my medication dosages are appropriate. I had no idea that was an option. Thus, it seems other practices are more advanced in their knowledge of how to treat mental health symptoms. TL, DR: If you're OK with the status quo of your mental health, Dr. Chawla might be able to help. If you're looking for improvement, I'd seek other options.
