I think we're narrowing it down. A Barber Shop is all of that, its where you go to get trimmed up, where you go to laugh and enjoy good company. It's part of a community. It's where your barber knows your name, knows your cut, teases you about being drunk the other night and asks how your cuts or your wife doing. It's where a middle ages woman loudly proclaims she would have volunteered to be R Kelly's home video.... I spent about 40 minutes in the chair today to get a bit off the top and get my beard trimmed up. Holy crap. I have not had such a skilled barber in my life. I don't remember my barbers name, I know I know, bad Yelper! I put it in my phone and accidentally deleted it. His was the second chair from the door. He used like 5 kinds of razors, he used scissors, combs, compressed air, a straight razor! This man was talented! I especially feel like a dick cause he repeated my name a few times and I know he's gonna remember when I go back in a few weeks. About 6 chairs take up half the space, a lot of wood and a lot character, they have a really nice place set up. Tin ceilings that I am always a fan off and a big screen finish off the space along with some benches and chairs to sit on while waiting your turn. Go early because they get busy quick! A beard trim and a hair cut, $15! Super cuts charges something like $12 now! And they will not come CLOSE to giving you the kind of cut you'll get here. At super cuts your going to get a girl with big hair who just got her license, she'll take clippers, run them over your head and try to flirt with you as you cash out so you give her an extra dollar tip. These men are Barbers and a credit to their craft. I heard good things so we decided to give this a try. I wasn't expecting much. We've tried other local barbershops and have been disappointed. I was SO wrong. We walked in and were greeted and seated immediately. Adam gave my 7 year old the best haircut he's ever had. Adam listened to exactly what I was thinking for his cut. It doesn't sound like much but from my experience, most kids haircuts don't come out as what was originally wanted or discussed. It's never been a big deal because they're kids and hair grows. It was just nice to see exactly what we envisioned. Adam was patient with my son and chatted thru the whole haircut. I have an undercut and joked that I need to have him take care of my undercut. He said he would no problem and offered to have me sit down. He gave me clean lines and even came up with a super fun design. I've had hairdressers give me clean lines but it's always felt like they were digging into my scalp. I was floored by how gentle he was. I'm really happy with our visit and we WILL be back. I get my haircut skin fade beard shaped up and eyebrows for $20. A skin fade at silvanos alone is $18. No comparison
