I called probably a dozen dealerships and power-sport places combined and received about the same answer from all..."sorry we don't have service on weekends" or " sorry we are just about to close". I finally called Gildner's just to be told the same thing I think they could sense the frustration in my voice. They called back about 3 minutes later and said they were going to stay late and the service man was on his way back to the shop. This blew me away. Not only were they closing at 4pm (3:50 when I called) but they called their mechanic to come back after already leaving. Tow truck dropped my bike and I off there and Eric the service guy had my wheel off and new tire on in about 30 min flat. Joyce the women who works the front desk also stayed late so they would be able to cash me out. They had me back on the road by 5:30. This is a prime example of what customer service should be. i give these guys the lowest possible rating for two reasons. the first and most important reason…read moreis that on the ride back from their store after my 7500 mile inspection and maintenance, my bike died less than 30 minutes after leaving. Clearly they did not take a serious look at my bike which tells me they do not care at all about rider safety. The second, and this isnt that important, but it demonstrates the owner's utter lack of interest in customer satisfaction, is that they charged me for the tow. $80 for a tow for an issue they should have caught if they did even a cursory inspection of the bike. Finally after speaking to the owner, he seemed completely disinterested in making it right with me and said next time I come in we can talk about it. I never gave him the chance because while $80 is not chump change to me, I just don't trust these guys to make sure my bike is in tip top shape so i never went back. I think of that money as a very reasonable price to pay to learn that i need a different place to service my Road King. In life there are a handful of occupations where you really want the individual to have his act together and i would say motorcycle mechanic is right up there with pilots, aircraft mechanics and surgeons. Gidner's Harley will never get my business again and i hope this review makes other riders seek their repairs and maintenance elsewhere. Ride Safely.
